1 Woods Garth

We stayed here from the 23-30th December and really appreciated the Christmas decorations around the house and the welcome pack.

There was everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay and you can tell the owners take pride in this property. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Brilliant base for exploring The Wolds.

Lovely cottage that was clean, warm and offered us everything we needed for a week break exploring a different area of Yorkshire.

This is a fantastic rental property, we loved it.

Spotlessly clean, well equipped, finished and furnished to a very high standard. Couldn't fault anything. Good, helpful communication from the owner. We will definitely stay here again!

I was disappointed that the neither the owner or Sykes thought it relevant to inform us that there is an active construction site immediately behind the property.

Luckily we had good weather and were out a lot of each day. We were impacted by noise mostly in the mornings as work began at 8am (and finished by 4pm). Apart from that elephant in the room, it is a nice property and well located for exploring the Wolds.

You have a wonderful, cosy home and thanks for sharing this with us.

We were very comfortable during our stay despite some cold and wet weather. Thank you for the welcome pack you left for us …. great to arrive and be able to have a welcoming warm drink and biscuits. We have stayed in a number of properties and this was by far the best. Hope we visit again soon.

A first class property with every possible amenity.

We had a great break, and the cottage was absolutely beautiful.

The owners have thought of absolutely everything. We will certainly use it again!

We had a really enjoyable stay, Very homely and snug.

We could not fault it at all. My missus as OCD cleanliness And it was spotless clean. Beds Duvet pillows really Comfortable for a splendid nights sleep. Great base for visiting Pocklington, Driffield, Malton, Beverley,York & Coastal areas within a short scenic drive. A very well equipped & stunning kitchen, Wifi was excellent. Great communication with the owners. Loved the Decor its to our taste, And designed perfectly well. Would we stop again...YES if ever we need another tranquil escape to Yorkshire. Full credit to the owners on such a stunning property. x

Wonderful little hideaway, spotlessly clean and very cozy with a lovely owner - had a slight issue with the fire alarm and the owner arrived within 10 minutes to fix it!

Plenty of supplies provided (even the small things like sandwich bags and tinfoil). Lovely base for travelling, pub and chip shop in the village but also plenty of places to visit within 30 minutes drive of the area, had a fantastic time here!

The property was lovely, nice and clean, with everything provided.

The location was nice and quiet. The only problem was the shower which provided very little water, making it less than enjoyable.

Very clean and comfortable property.

Good communication regarding keys and tips for local area. Recommended to others.

Had a lovely weeks holiday is this gorgeous cottage, which was very comfy, clean and well equipped.

A great base for the Wolds and lovely surrounding area. Wetwang has a family run pub ‘Victoria inn’, which serves really tasty food at a good price. There’s also a good chippy in the village. Thank you Keith and Tracy, and for the welcome goodies, especially the gorgeous biscuits.

Beautiful, relaxing property, extremely comfortable with everything needed for your stay.

Adjacent parking spot to the property. Very peaceful, ideal location to use as a base with the advantage of an award winning Fish & Chip shop 2 minutes away, along with a quite decent pub 5 minutes walk away, serving decent food and some very nice real ales. A couple of local residents also sell the most fabulous Free Range eggs from the door too.

Fantastic place to stay , the best cottage we have stayed at , a big credit to the owners .

This charming converted barn is a lovely property.

We stayed the latter part of November is was cosy & warm. From Wetwang we had easy access to the coast, York city & Pickering. We would definitely return.

The best equiped and prepared cottage we have stayed in.

We had a really great time

We really enjoyed our stay in Woods Garth.

The cottage was very well equipped, good wifi, and cleaned to a high standard. Communication with the owner was easy and the key collection was very well organised. The location is well placed for visiting many places in East and North Yorkshire. Great find and a great stay.

The owner was friendly and helpful.

The house had everything we needed and was in a quiet spot in the village. It was ideally situated and easy to get to York, Bridlington and Skipsea. I would definitely recommend this property.

Loved the cottage it had everything we could possibly need and more.

It was extremely clean and comfortable. Great location to enjoy countryside walks, the beeches and York city.

The cottage is lovely very clean tidy and well maintained everything you need has been supplied by the owners.

it is in very quiet setting

A lovely cottage where we could really relax.

1 Woods Garth was absolutely perfect, during the week we stayed in the cottage there was not one thing that we needed that was not already there.

Wetwang is a great base to be when touring the area, lots of places to see and great countryside to drive through.

A fabulous cottage, very clean and had everything we possibly could have needed.

The kitchen and bathroom were both very modern and the rest of the cottage had a lovely homely feeling. It was in a great spot, central to places like Bridlington, Flamingoland, Helmsley and York. We had a great time and agreed it was probably the nicest cottage we'd stayed in. We're looking forward to booking again in the near future.

Lovely, cosy, well equipped cottage in a quiet little close with friendly neighbours.

Located in a tiny village with nothing but two pubs and a fish and chip shop (which must be popular as there were queues outside everyday). Centrally located and an ideal base for exploring various places in Yorkshire.

1 Woods Garth is an excellent cottage in a peaceful village location.

The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable and the owners are both friendly and helpful. The area is perfect for walking, cycling and generally exploring with lots to see and do. We particularly enjoyed spending the day at Sledmere House, seeing all the seabirds at Bempton Cliffs and visiting the beach and lighthouse Flamborough Head. Its a great cottage in a lovely area and we are looking forward to visiting the Yorkshire Wolds again in the future.

The cottage was absolutely fantastic!

It was exceptionally well furnished, clean, comfortable, equipped and definitely exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended :-)

The house was well equipped and the decor and artifacts were excellent.

We will be back if in the area

It's a real home from home.

Fabulous decor & furnishings. It's a pocket sized palace. Wonderful time had by the family. Had everything we needed & some nice touches (tea, coffee, milk etc. All supplied on arrival). Keith was friendly & only a phone call away if needed. Already planning our next visit.

Lovely cottage.

Well equipped and spotless. Would definitely recommend to others.

It’s been an amazing experience, would recommend to all my friends and family

We had an excellent stay at Woods Garth, comfortable, clean and tastefully furnished cottage.

Comfort clean the only thing that let us down was the rain .

Just place to go site seeing the lovely scenery and places of interest

Very lovely cottage and well equipped with everything.

After a day out We looked forward to returning . Owners have made it home from home with nice decor and comfortable furniture. Very nice location for visiting the area.

Peaceful location but excellent for visiting York, coastal resorts and the many heritage sites in this area.

The cottage was cosy, comfortable, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully well-equipped. An absolute gem!

A great holiday from beginning to end.

Easy straightforward booking and a beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean cottage in a great location. It was a joy to return to each day after exploring all Yorkshire has to offer. Hopefully we will be back.

The cottage was genuinely perfect.

The attention to detail is was most impressive, there was every kitchen utensil you could want, more than ample storage and lots of extras such as games, books, OS maps, dvd’s and CDs. Another bonus was that both local pubs were very welcoming and both are within a short walking distance.

Charming cottage with everything you need.

Beautifully maintained & decorated a credit to the owners. Bearing no reflection on the cottage I think Sykes Cottages should point out that there isn't any public transport in Wetwang, if you wish to explore the surrounding towns you really do need transport.

The week was fantastic.

The cottage was very homely just perfect. It was very clean. The kitchen is lovely and big and brilliant for cooking in. The welcome pack was lovely. A nice relaxing holiday will definitely be booking here again.

The cottage was well equipped and the furnishings were all of a high standard.

The village felt secluded but it was only short journey to lots of places of interest. I would definitely recommend.

The Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Wetwang is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds, with plenty of good walking. The Robert Fuller Gallery at Thixendale close by is well worth a visit.

This cottage was beautiful very clean and had everthing we needed to make our stay comfortable .

we would definately go back again

This cottage is fantastic.

It is very clean, comfortable and warm, and has everything you need. We highly recommend it as a great place to stay.
