Above & Beyond

This is our 3rd visit to Above & Beyond and we found it as pleasant as ever.

We parked the car on arrival on the Monday and did not use it again until leaving on the Friday. We walked or used the bus (which stops just outside the apartments).

A beautiful apartment in an ideal location to enjoy everything that Whitby (and beyond) has to offer.

The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and absolutely immaculate. The balcony was an added bonus to enjoy the beautiful Bank Holiday weather. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here - we will definitely be back.

This is a lovely apartment, a short walk from town.

A dedicated parking space made things easier. If you don't want to walk down the hill and back in to town for necessities, there is a shop along upgang lane and a chinese takeaway, there is also a Chinese restaurant in the Metropole hotel.

Second visit, just perfectly placed.

Will be booking again.

We found the apartment very comfortable and extremely well furnished and fitted.

It provides a good location for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area with many eateries close by accessible on foot. Private secure parking and bus stop outside means you don't have to drive and direct bus routes to Scarborough and Guisborough afford an opportunity to look around as you want. Saltburn is well worth a visit.

Above and beyond, it really was!

We had a wonderful time, the appartment was great, very clean and comfortable. We loved the leather reclining sofas and the bed was sooo comfortable! Parking was easy and this is such a big plus as its usually very difficult in Whitby. Its the perfect location for town and coast. Many thanks for the welcome pack, much appreciated. The car parking facility was very difficult but the owner will know this It is quite difficult to contact Sykes Holidays by telephone However we keep going to this apartment which speaks for itself I would highly recommend it.

It is very comfortable and well equipped. The secure carparking is a big plus as parking can be difficult in Whitby.

This property is delightful - modern, clean, comfortable and convenient for walking to and from Whitby.

It was also very peaceful. Having a private parking space was a bonus. We liked the security too. We have already recommended the apartment to family and friends and would happily return there ourselves. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful property exactly as described.

Welcome pack was a really nice touch and much appreciated. The property was perfect for our family with the living spaces all really clean and furnished to a good standard. The kitchen has verything you could need for cooking meals and breakfast time. The car parking space is a real benefit, it was as described and a tight space, but I got skoda superb estate car parked in the space. Once parked it remained there for the stay as there was so much to do in Whitby which is only a 15 minute walk away. The family loved staying here and we'd happily recommend it and stay again if we visit Whitby.

We had a really lovely stay in Above & Beyond, from comfort to equipment everything is thoughtfully provided, even a nice welcome pack!

The property is centrally located, for visiting local areas like Sandsend, Saltburn if you want a short drive or just going locally into the town or beach which can easily be reached on foot on by car or open top bus (bus stop just outside) Thank you for a lovely break, we'll be back.

Unfortunately the cleaner hadn't been.

Issued resolved by Sykes sending in a couple of young ladies. Contacted Yorkshire Holidays at 15:30 Cleaners arrived at 16:00 approx finished by 17:00

Above & Beyond is a beautiful apartment and contains everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The secure parking is a bonus, in somewhere like Whitby, where there is not a lot of parking. We did not use our car whilst we were there but walked and used the open top bus on one day.

A really beautiful property, spotlessly clean and well maintained.

A real home-from-home, everything we needed was there. Lovely, comfortable seating and beds, plenty of storage, great views and location. Above and Beyond was everything we'd hoped for - booked again before we left.

Lovely clean apartment with nice decor.

Very comfortable. Great having the balcony. We were lucky to have good weather and used it often. Also good having a private parking place. One of nicest places we have stayed in. Five minutes down to the shops and a short walk to West Cliff and the Leisure centre in the other direction. If we return to Whitby we will certainly book Above and Beyond.

Very comfortable and convenient apartment.

Would recommend to family and friends. Thankyou for biscuits etc would have appreciated a small carton of milk for a cuppa on arrival. Secure parking a bonus but a bit of a squeeze.

We had a fabulous weekend at this apartment.

It was stylish, spotless and very comfortable. We loved everything about it especially eating breakfast on the balcony. We are booking for next year but for a week this time. The car parking space is a real bonus too in Whitby. We would highly recommend to anyone.

The apartment is excellent and we would definitely return.

Very comfortable bed and excellent shower. The location beside Pannett Park is great for walking into town or up onto West Cliff. It was lovely sitting in the lounge looking out across the balcony at the April weather. (NB Although the website says the second bedroom is two twin beds, they can be zip linked together to make a larger double.)

Very clean and comfortable flat, with everything we needed for our holiday.

Good location for accessing the town and the beaches - 5 minutes walk away. There is a dedicated parking space and a bus stop right outside the door, handy for trips further up the coast to Runswick. Staithes and Saltburn.

EXCELLENT ,The property was in immaculate condition, in a very desirable location ,it had everything we needed,The location was so good there were 2 bus stops immediately outside the property,one to the town and one towards Sandsend,walking to town was very easy with various routes available, Would definitely return to this place again.

Beds in twin bedroom are only 2ft 6ins wide.

OK for children but not suitable for large adult. Heated towel rail in one bathroom does not function. Only four coat-hangers in one of the bedroom wardrobes . Overall the apartment and its location are good.

The apartment was lovely,well located we never moved the car due to everything being walkable.

Everything was clean,comfortable and had everything we needed.

We can honestly say that this was the best accommodation we have stayed in, could not fault anything.

It is certainly a credit to its owner and does as it says on the tin, that is goes "ABOVE and BEYOND".

This is a very comfortable clean apartment with good facilities .

Well placed for access to the centre of Whitby and the old railway line for a good walk . Would certainly stay here again .

An excellent apartment in an ideal location, just a short walk from Whitby.

The property was very clean and well equipped, with a nice view of the Abbey from the bedroom and the North York moors from the living room (despite the Esso station across the road). The terrace would be a nice place to sit outside during a warmer time of year. A second front door key would have been useful for the larger groups. Thank you.

Lovely accommodation in a great location to access all that Whitby and the surrounding area has to offer.

Had everything that we could need and the little welcome basket was a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable and weather was even good enough for us to be able to use the balcony. There was only the two of us, but there's plenty of room for 4. Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking to stay in Whitby.
