Blue Peter @ Engine Shed

This is such a beautiful place to stay, especially if you love steam locomotives like myself.

The host was lovely and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and I would consider the whole property as luxurious. Everything I needed and more. Hopefully be back soon.

This was our second stay at Blue Peter.

We found it to be clean, comfortable and spacious. The engine sheds is a quiet location yet in the centre of Whitby and a convenient place to stay for all that Whitby has to offer. The parking space provided with the property was a real bonus.

Fabulous accommodatio situated a short stroll from the centre of Whitby. Nice to have a welcome pack and Jo was extremely helpful.

Lovely place in a great location for exploring Whitby.

Overall very high standard of facilities and has pretty much everything you could need for a stay. Only slight issues we found were that the bed was very creaky / makes a lot of noise when moving/ turning etc and we also noticed on the last night when there was a bit of wind outside that a lot of the doors seem to have a slight movement in them so kept making noise - as if the latches were a bit too small for the holes so allowed for slight movement. This seemed to be the case on many of the internal doors as well as the front door. Apart from that it was a lovely few days away and we have a great time and would certainly re-visit in the future.

Lovely apartment, so nice we immediately booked again for next year.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and sofa/ chairs. There were a couple of problems as the oven wasn't working and one of the breakfast bar stools was broken. A handyman came round within half an hour and fixed the oven and when we came back from our walk the bar stools had been replaced which was excellent service. Housekeeping staff were really helpful.

The accommodation was very clean.

It was conveniently located in the heart of Whitby and very quiet. The secure and undercover parking was a bonus, as parking in Whitby can be difficult. In fact we didn't use our car for the duration of our four night break. We enjoyed seeing and being up close to the various trains, heritage and modern, that passed by the Engine Shed.

..what more do you need. Oh yes...a steam engine stops outside.. fantastic. The property was as expected due to the accurate description and photos on the website.

Loved watching the trains. We have to say a massive thank you to the maintenance man and Jo and Ash who went above and beyond to ensure our property was OK to stay in after an unfortunate plumbing incident the day before our arrival led to a leak in the bathroom and hall. Jo and Ash couldn’t have been more helpful and when we arrived to start our holiday, the apartment was immaculate and you wouldn’t have known there had been a problem. Thanks too for the starter pack, goodies and flowers - a lovely touch.

This was my second visit to these apartments the first being in January 2020 and the standards remain top notch.

The apartment has everything you could possibly need, only a five minute walk from the town centre and apart from a small slope out of the apartments all on the level. The finish is 1st class with top range fixtures and fittings. If you know Whitby you’ll know parking can be a nightmare and add significant costs to your holiday so the secure parking provided is a huge bonus. A mention also to Jo and her housekeeping team who keep the apartments spotlessly clean.

What a lovely apartment!

We were very comfortable here. The bed was very firm but that suited us although I can understand why some might feel it is too firm. We found the kitchen well stocked for our needs and the lounge was very comfortable. The bar stools will need updating in the near future though and a lamp in the lounge would be great. The whole apartment was very well decorated and very clean and we would definitely recommend and will come back. The location was excellent and we loved watching the trains come in and out. The latest train was gone by 10.30pm and the earliest was about 8.30am so we were not disturbed by them. Thanks for a wonderful stay

Excellent location close to all Whitby has to offer 5 minutes and your right in the middle of the fun Watching the trains was great fun from our room and the facilities in our apartment were superb , everything we needed in the kitchen and the little extras were much appreciated and a bonus Excellent WiFi and perfect size TV Car park in the shed was a great bonus and easy to access All in all a wonderful fun stay in a quirky location , perfect for the train enthusiast Definitely recommend a ride on the NYMR steam train to Pickering Perhaps the only thing I would change were the pillows , a little too hard for us

Very clean and comfortable everything you need to cater for yourself is available the welcome starter pack of essentials to start you off was very welcome and appreciated.

A lovely holiday property which we found fascinating and the bit of history in welcome information was interesting.Will definitely book again.The garage to park our car was an added bonus very much appreciated to.On the whole 10 out of 10 we had a wonderful stay.

A well situated apartment.

Very modern with a unique view of the railway traffic. Comfortable and adequately fitted with every day equipment. Greeted by the house keeping team who were pleased to answer any questions. We would book again.

Third time at the Engine Shed and it won't be the last - beautifully restored building, tastefully decorated and furnished.

Secure private parking so close to the centre of Whitby - what more could you ask for?

This is the fourth time we have stayed in Blue Peter and on entry we noticed a change in the care of the property from previous years, it smelt fresher and was at a more comfortable temperature i.

e. not too hot. We were welcomed by the housekeeper as nothing seemed to be too much trouble and at the end of the week wanted to know if we had a good week which we did.

We were impressed by the standard of furnishings, the cleanliness and the all round feeling of welcome .

Of course the trains!! Will definitely be back.

Overall a very enjoyable stay however we felt a couple of things let it down.

On arrival a plate and frying pan was not cleaned properly and was still greasy. We felt the welcome pack needs to be friendlier, and whilst we appreciate the owners may have had some negative comments about the original windows in the past, we felt the tone needed to be alot friendlier. Overall a wonderful stay so thank you!

We absolutely loved our week’s stay in Blue Peter.

It was exceptionally well equipped, warm and welcoming, a real home away from home. The flowers were a sweet touch, as was the welcome pack of basics. We did meet a member of the housekeeping team and she was really friendly. We found the bed really comfortable (we do like ours quite firm) and the powerful walk in shower with its rainwater head was brilliant. It was lovely having the view of Whitby Abbey from the bedroom window. Having a secure parking space was a real bonus and the apartments are only a short walk into the heart of Whitby. Close to Whitby Station trains were far from being a disturbance, and we eagerly looked forward to the arrival of the vintage steam (and diesel) trains, stopping almost opposite our windows - precisely why we had chosen The Engine Shed for our stay. We would strongly recommend these apartments and will look forward to returning ourselves.

Despite being so close to the railway ( no trains through the night) it was calm and quiet.

Good to have spacious undercover secure garage with EV chargers if needed. We had no reason to contact maintenance so cant comment on this. 300metres walk to supermarket, trains, bus terminal, pizza/ indian takeaway, restaurants,bars, cafes ,shops on a flat road.. lovely beaches and harbour. Will be back.

Very easy stained had to use dishwasher at end of week to remove stains 2 why a full size dishwasher for two people apartment 3 the shower was missing some grout which will lead to water ingress 4 extractor fan in shower room not working other wise ok ps great idea with the garage well thought out conversion

Couldn’t fault anything. The parking and car charging were a big plus. Absolutely loved the trains being so close . Such a lovely comfortable and unique place to stay . There was everything you could need and so close to the town . So glad I found it and now want to stay in more unusual places and come back again definitely. Thank you so much.

5 Star We treat Whitby as a second home and last year we discovered the Engine Shed where we stayed in Repton. This year we booked Blue Peter which is a duplicate on the floor below. The apartment is perfect for two. Everything about it is quality, from the appliances in the well equipped kitchen, the bedroom with plenty of storage and a huge bed to the bathroom with a great shower. The indoor secure parking is a massive bonus as, especially at this time of year in Whitby getting a parking space can be a nightmare. It's just a short walk into the town centre. I recommended the Engine Shed to friends and colleagues constantly. Can't wait to return next year! Oh yes and the 1:1 model railway is so entertaining :)

We had an absolutely brilliant 5 days in Whitby staying in the Blue Peter Shed apartment.

We loved the accommodation and watching the trains regularly go by. The town with its many beautiful walks, Abbey, views, beaches, cafes and restaurants kept us very busy. The only negatives on our part were the guests in the room above us sounded as though they were tap dancing in clogs and the wifi constantly dipped in and out which meant watching tv on demand virtually impossible during the evenings. That said we still had a wonderful time in Whitby.

Kitchen clock needed new battery husbands pet hate.

... Otherwise outstanding accommodation and well maintained close to town and local amenities with a parking space. Jo was very accommodating with early entrance to the property. Cleaning staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Loved the trains going past the windows even though steam trains where not working the weekend we stayed.

We were very pleased with every aspect of the apartment .

The owners of the apartment , emailed me , to say that they had found some items of clothing in the draw and would I like them to post them to me . I was most grateful to them for this . Would fully recommend .it was Just a small walk to the town , plus no worries about parking . The only thing that could be a negative is if you have mobility issues , as to be aware that there are several flights of stairs to the apartment

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at the engine shed which was a lovely apartment.

Our only issue was being kept awake from 11pm til 4am from a very inconsiderate resident playing loud music throughout the night. This meant we completely lost a day as we needed to catch up with sleep the next day x returned home very tired. We did report this to the housekeeper, Jo who was very apologetic x dealt with the issue, we really couldn't fault her support x understood this incident was out of her control. Also received a call from Sykes to reassure us they had spoken to individual concerned. Just felt a little disappointed that no offer of compensation was provided given the cost we paid for the 2 nights which was approx £540.

This was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and very clean.

A the model railway outside was a definite plus. Well worth a visit

Had a great stay but a few things I could of done with more pans ie frying pan it was small and there is only one.

There was supposed to be a remote for the heating we never found it looked everywhere. No cleaning stuff ie Surface Steriliser for counter tops

Well positioned for Whitby town centre, A great place to stay, well equipped and really comfortable.

The secure parking is an excellent addition. Very secure building with coded access. A great place for Railway enthusiasts and holiday makers alike.

Fabulous property- we had a wonderful break.

Holidayed in Whitby before and parking was a nightmare- the secure on site garage was a real bonus.The apartment was beautifully designed and furnished. Great to see the steam trains pull up inches away- the feature giant glass walls showed the original stone of the old engine shed and made it very quiet- simply didn’t hear any trains at night. Children would love it- and the glossy kitchen with feature lighting. Super shower and extra long heated towel rail. Lots of well thought out little touches make this a holiday home from home - like the rotating armchair by the window and the big tv in bedroom and another in lounge. We stayed in Blue Peter - ideal for two and far from cramped. And the location is ideal - in the centre of Whitby with the Abbey visible in its Halloween purple red lighting at night from the window. Extremely good value for what was on offer- wish we had booked longer.

A great apartment which is spotlessly clean and well maintained.

A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Being into steam railways it really is the only place to stay for us. We have stayed now 3 times and will definitely be returning next time we come to Whitby. Its central location and secure parking is a bonus. The staff that we met cleaning the apartments were very friendly and helpful a credit to the company. Plus we love Whitby a perfect combination.

Wonderful property - clean, modern, well equipped.

Perfect position in Whitby and parking a bonus. Major problem with rock hard pillows on the bed. Do not understand why they have to be so uncomfortable. Obviously a problem noted before. I would seriously consider replacing or providing softer pillows. Everyone needs a decent night's sleep and just not possible with current arrangement.

Really enjoyed our week at The Engine Shed.

Only suggestion would be to have a few more kitchen implements - eg Kitchen Scissors - for when you are cooking there. But we had a great week, thank you.

The accommodation could not be faulted.

Our only criticism was that the information did not highlight that the ground floor apartments are not suitable for the disabled. My wife who has to use a wheelchair struggled up and down the stairs all week. Whether it was my fault for misreading this situation or not I feel that this must be pointed out more clearly on the website.

This was our first stay in Whitby.

We looked at loads of properties and to be honest if this property wasn’t reduced we probably wouldn’t have given it a second look. So glad that it was and we did because it was perfect. It ticked all the right boxes. Location was amazing. Within walking distance to everywhere, easy to access with a car. Had all the amenities we needed. Very spacious and clean. The water was lovely and hot all the time. The car park was great and secure, which for my husband and his pride and joy was an absolute must. Being so close to the trains was spectacular. The only criticism we have (and this is only because of our preferences) is that the mattress was too hard. The bed itself was huge. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to our friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Blue Peter and found it really well equipped, clean and comfortable.

. There was one thing which we found missing and that was a table lamp. It seemed a shame to have to have the kitchen lights on when one lamp in the living area would gave been sufficient.

A fantastic week in a beautifully laid out, well equipped and spacious apartment.

It was great to be able to open the patio doors while having a bite to eat and look directly at a lovingly restored steam engine, Ideally located to be in the town centre or on the beach in a few minutes and without the hassle of trying to find somewhere to park. We look forward to returning soon.

A very well appointed apartment in a great location.

Convenient for Whitby town centre with excellent and convenient car parking. We were very happy with all the facilities provided and would happily recommend it to others. In fact, our visit was following a personal recommendation from a friend. The only adverse comment is that external signage could be a little clearer, perhaps a sign nearer the entrance door. It was raining when we arrived, and I was not sure whether i was trying to access the correct door. My fault, I input the wrong code, but not helpful when getting wet! Needless to say, once sorted, everything worked perfectly try thereafter.

.. Great location.. Especially if you like steam trains. Didn't need the car for the duration of our stay. Great facilities; quiet ( other than the odd train... Not complaining here) ; fish n chips; whats not to like. Only negative comment would be the bed... OMG was it hard!! The carpet was softer.. That said, we'd definitely stay again.

Accommodation was perfect, Blue Peter, cannot fault it, beautiful kitchen, comfortable lounge and a gorgeous big bed.

Complimentary arrival bag, consisted of the necessities after a long drive, thank you ! Steam trains passing were a joy to see and hear. The only concern having spoken to a couple of other guests was the parking, although we managed to park in the secure parking garage which houses about 10 cars and one car just outside garage, it is on a first come basis and if you don’t manage to get parked you can park on the road or near the Co Op, which if you’re told parking is available you shouldn’t have to park elsewhere. The owners should consider when booking to highlight your parking bay, as the parking bays are numbered and if guests arrive in two cars, then one of them should park elsewhere. Also if you have a disabled guest, they need to park at the accommodation, not elsewhere. If you do get the short straw, we was considering parking at the top of the driveway in front of the bin cupboard, which no doubt would annoy the other guests, but just a thought. Other than the parking, it was perfect and no doubt we will return, thank you.

there was a gate with a very rusty bolt we were unable to move , so could have been there but no signage. otherwise more than excellent and worth every penny

What a amazing holiday cottage.

The booking experience was brilliant, very reassuring for us older generation ( not all of us are au fait with booking over the internet) the position of the cottage was excellent, central for everything and the shortest of walks to all major attractions. It was wonderful to know our car was securely garaged and probably saved us a lot of money not having to pay parking fees. The accommodation was top quality, everything had been thought of we wanted for nothing.The welcome pack was a lovely touch and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoyed the trains and we would definitely book again. We have already been promoting to family and friends what a wonderful place it was to stay. The only downside was an extremely hard bed.

All very clean and new looking - very nicely appointed.

Location is excellent, a short walk to the harbour and town. The ground floor garage worked well keeping the car secure and cool. Overall we had a lovely holiday and would stay again. We did see a mouse that must have come in from the railway. Would have liked to have some better pillows - they were a bit hard and flat.

The accomodation is first rate and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Spotlessly clean, modern facilities, comfortable accomodation and a superb secure undercover garage which is a massive bonus in Whitby. We knew this as we booked but of course there is no outside area to sit as you are right on the railway track so I have marked facilities down a little but that is only to reflect the obvious. Actually though, my wife has little interest in trains but was the first to run to the window when one past, its intoxicating. The owner spotted that a previous guest had taken some of the instructions from the room and personally came to our room to replace them without being asked. You cant get better service than that. A fabulous interesting place to stay within a three minute walk to the centre. Brilliant. We will book again.

We had a delightful stay. Such a good idea to convert the engine shed into apartments. Conveniently located for everything Whitby. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable and had everything we might need. Parking is easy and secure. Really appreciated the lovely welcome pack. We enjoyed watching the trains from the windows although no steam trains from Whitby so my husband had to manage staring at diesel engines. But a train ride to pickering satisfied his stream train watching requirements. Not suitable if you want to sit outside as no outside area. Overall a great stay.

Absolutely loved the spacious Blue Peter property.

Beautifully presented, well equipped and spotlessly clean. So exciting to be so close to the trains and tracks. Feature window was fabulous. So happy to receive the fresh flowers and the welcome pack, very thoughtful indeed. Sad that the holiday is now over. Will definitely revisit this property and area. The booking/travel/arrival/departure was extremely simple. Left feeling very refreshed, a great holiday.

Property is brilliant, it is well equipped and situated near the centre.

It is only a short walk to the centre and many restaurants (Trenchers and Magpie are great for fish and chips).

Wonderful stay in an amazing property, very well located.

My only niggle is I found the pillows very hard, and the soft pillow was very flat. Will definitely book again.

Really nice modern apartment in ideal location (5 mins walk to Whitby town centre).

Very clean and all the facilities you would expect for a comfortable stay including lovely bed, nice cooker, microwave and fridge while the fact there is a washing machine mean't we travelled with half the amount of clothes we usually would. Nice TV's and comfortable furniture, would recommend highly to anyone although one little tip I'd give having read other feedback, if you don't want to be woken by trains running outside your window don't book a room next to a railway station.

Blue Peter apartment was not available when we arrived on the Friday due to a water leak.

Fortunately, we were moved to Tornado apartment, but we then had to move back to Blue Peter on the Monday. Both apartments were very good. The only issues with both being the beds ware very hard. My wife found it very difficult to sleep as she has arthritis. The station platform lights were on all night which made the bedrooms very bright. The location dot on the map is the wrong side of the railway in the middle of the long stay car park.

The Blue Peter is very well appointed and close to Whitby centre.

Lovely to see the trains pass. However, the bed was so hard we left 2 days early due to lack of sleep and backache. Also noting the fire escape situation was a bit dubious and the bars at the window felt like a prison room at times. Understand its a listed building and maybe that could not be helped.

The generic emails from Sykes contained conflicting facts eg arrival/departure times and the need to refer to details in info on the property which sometimes wasn’t there was rather tedious.

There seemed to be overemphasis on ensuring we understood we would have to pay for any problems and this started to grate after a while. The cottage was as described but there should be a warning about the early morning trains at 0613h.

We were recommended to the Engine Shed and it met all the comments we had been given.

This is a return trip so we knew what to expect.

Very clean and comfortable, duvet would benefit from a protector. One dishwasher tab was a bit mean and no bin bags. Didn’t find anything about recycling extremely important so we left it separate. Even a recycling bin outside would help and bike racks in the car park.

Lovely apartment with the added extra of infrequent trains running past right outside the window ( first train is at 6.

15 am). We weren't too disturbed by this because the place is well soundproofed. Bed was huge and comfortable. Small welcome pack of bread, milk, biscuits, tea, coffee and jams was nice. Parking was secure albeit a bit tight. My only niggle was that the “simple, basic” kitchen equipment had no instructions which meant that I couldn't work out how to use the cooker which was neither simple or basic. In terms if covid there was hand gel in the main lobby to use on entry and exit and tv remotes were in plastic cases for easy cleaning. Windows were open on arrival so the place was aired. All in all very good.

The Engine Shed accommodation was a very enjoyable and unique experience.

Really cool seeing steam engines directly outside your window which was not as noisy as we had expected and with only a limited number of services each day was a fun part of the overall experience.

Blue Peter is a wonderful apartment set within the Engine Shed at Whitby.

The place is beautifully furnished and has lovely bed linen and towels. The bed is huge and comfortable. The car park is a huge bonus. Loved our stay, will be back.

Only thing missing to make this the perfect stay would have been some outside space to enjoy my morning coffee.

But overall apartment was fabulous!

Was like staying in a new home . It's central to everything in Whitby , So the car could be left in garage provided . We never had any problems at all , there was a lovely welcome pack to see you through your opening day . The kitchen had every utensil needed to cook all your meals if needed . Everything was sparkling clean even more important during the covid19 period . Hand sanitizer as you walk through the main door . Everything as been thought of . Would recommend to anyone

Brilliant time had by all.

Beautiful place very modern spacious and comfortable in a charming sympathetic renovation keeping original external stone work.

Bathroom and kitchen done to high specification. Bed was mega hotel size bit too firm but just a matter of preference. Garage parking was an added bonus and security for apartments really good. We were on lower floor so views limited but place so stylish and airy you did not notice. Welcome pack very nice. Loved the biscuits so bought more to take home. All in all a great place to stay and enjoy Whitby.

Finished to very high quality.

The Blue Peter room was more impressive than the photographs portrayed.

The apartment was spacious, modern, highly equipped, well furnished, comfortable & the 'extra' touches of bread, milk, biscuits, tea & coffee, along with the fresh tulips made the stay even more memorable. The apartment is in very easy reach of Whitby town centre by foot & the superb car parking facilities on site meant the car was always on hand if needed if going further. Would highly recommend stopping in any of the apartments within The Engine Shed.

A beautifully restored building - obviously everything virtually brand new but still exceeded our expectations.

A little feedback for the owners please (hopefully constructive and not meant to be negative) - the bedroom would benefit from a black out blind as the lights from the car park directly opposite are on all night and shine directly into the bedroom. We would have loved to try out the coffee maker but no instructions were provided and therefore we were unable to enjoy it - ditto the electric oven - we did manage to fathom out the oven eventually but as gas oven users at home this was no mean feat! It may also benefit future users to know that the apartment benefits from a washer/dryer (think it only mentions washing machine) - as the weather was very wet we found this invaluable. Also to mention a small freezer. We only had to ring Sykes' office once to double check the entry codes as recent reviews stated issues, but we were dealt with in a very professional and friendly manner. Note: We have already booked an apartment on the upper floor for next year we enjoyed it so much - thank you!!! An excellent review on Trip Advisor will also follow!!!

We have rented out our own property for several years and think we are very exacting about properties we rent.

The Engine Shed in Whitby is beautifully equipped and finished and excellently maintained. The attention to detail is second to none and, given it's unusual and exclusive setting makes a wonderful Whitby experience.

We stayed in the Blue Peter apartment in Whitby which was all that we could have wished for and really enjoyed our stay, that was the good part, getting access to the property was a joke.

When we arrived we followed th instructions give on our documentation entering the code 1920 several times with no joy I telephoned the help number and waited approx 15 mins with no response, by this time a guest who was staying in the same building let us in using a different code to one we were given. We then again followed the instructions as per documentation and tried to access the key safe for the room key using the code 1920, as per the instructions and once again after trying to contact Sykes office was left waiting for a responce, fortunately a lady called Helen who appeared to been the caretaker was in the building and got us access the room by giving us the correct code. All I can say is that the administration at the Syes office is a joke bordering on incompetence, so if you book one of these properties and receive documentation with codes 1920 for both access and key safe I suggest you contact Sykes and ask for clarification

I think that gaining entry to the property could have been easier with more information.

This is a very well-thought through development with state of the art furnishings, cleverly fitted into the old stone railway shed and retaining its window grilles.

Despite its proximity to the "1:1 scale model of a railway" it was almost silent, and even with the french windows open it was not usually noisy. It is perfectly situated for the centre of Whitby and the Coop supermarket. Every item of kitchenware that could possibly be needed was supplied, and there was a thoughtful welcome pack of bread, butter and other essentials. Furniture, fittings and work surfaces were new and robustly built. There were few downsides. I found the bed and sofa were rather hard, and was unable to get the smart radiators to emit heat, but I had my trusty hot water bottle. It was not clear which parking space I should use. I happened to meet the owner who said I should ignore the numbers because two spaces were reserved for electric cars to charge, but nevertheless I found a snippy note on my windscreen to tell me I was in someone else's space. Perhaps the listing could say "first come, first served" or similar? I would definitely consider staying here again.

There was no mention of the fridge with freezer compartment or the fact that there was a hairdryer on the accommodation listing which would be useful for other guests.

We were also able to leave our car in the private parking area. We had a lovely stay in a great apartment and would recommend it - well worth a visit, we will be back!

The apartment was just amazing everything about it was first class, The welcome pack and the lovely roses was s lovely touch so thoughtful.

The apartments have been converted to a very high standard, you will not be disappointed .

WOW, WOW, WOW!

The engine shed at Whitby are amazing we couldn't have asked for anything more. Although I do have two little moans, (sorry) firstly when we arrived we put the code into the door which didn't work! We were given the code 1920 for the outside door, if it wasn't for another guest coming we'd have not got in. I think it's quite important that the right information is given prior to getting there. The only other thing is the pillows on the bed, both very hard and quite difficult and uncomfortable to sleep on, maybe have two kinds to choose from, one soft one firm. Apart from that the apartment exceeded our expectations and was an a pleasure to stay in, we will definitely be booking to go back. Thank you.

Cottage excellent and very high quality, owner very helpful and personable, also prompt to rectify a small issue with the heating system.

I would be happy to recommend the apartment and the complex. Service from Sykes very disappointing- initially given access info on wrong apartment, only rectified after I contacted Sykes twice. At no time did Sykes contact me. When I arrived I found the revised access code for the front entrance was incorrect, fortunately someone else staying in the complex arrived and let me in. Sykes seem unable to give even basic information accurately, as a result it is very unlikely I would use them again.

The apartment was way beyond expectations, it was brand new, great facilities and furnishings, a great welcome pack and even roses.

It was very clean, fantastically furnished and well equipped. I would not hesitate to recommend the engine shed and indeed Whitby, which was also lovely. There was even charging points in the 8ndoor car park... excellent!!!
