Lovely comfortable appartment 3rd visit and hope to book again

This is a very modern apartment with everything you need and only a ten minute walk to the town centre.

The allocated secure parking space is a real plus. We really enjoyed our stay at the Explorers Rest over the Christmas period and the Christmas tree was a really nice thought. The host was very helpful when I made a couple of enquiries and responded very quickly, I would certainly recommend this apartment in this location if you are planning on seeing parts of the east coast ( and Whitby) we hope to stay here again in 2026 Thank you for a wonderful stay in your apartment.

Really lovely apartment.

In a great position about 8 minutes walk into Whitby. Only niggle is the amount of storage in the bedroom. Would benefit with a larger chest of drawers. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen has everything you could need.

The apartment was very clean and so comfortable.

The bed was amazing best weeks sleep me and my husband have had. Everything was so close by but not on top of you so you can leave the town and go back to peace and quiet. Underground parking was a bonus. Met a lovely maintenance guy called Peter he was so helpful and told us where everything was in the town and best places to go. Will definitely be going again next year.

Explorers Rest is a lovely modern apartment ideally situated opposite the beautiful Pannett Park which makes for a scenic walk into Whitby.

Modern, well equipped and very clean we had a wonderful holiday. We cannot fault Explorers Rest and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Such a beautiful flat, and block of flats, so clean and beautifully decorated. Lovely welcome pack. Small problem with working things out, but owner came so promptly and really nice and helpful. Great location for getting around Whitby, for the buses and taking car out.

We stayed during September and found Explorers Rest to be a lovely clean, comfortable, and well positioned apartment only a 10 minute walk into Whitby.

The secure parking was a real plus and indeed the welcome basket of treats were a lovely and thoughtful touch. Explorers Rest is certainly a 5 star property and we would most certainly return to enjoy a beautiful part of the country with the Yorkshire moors only a short drive away with many locations on the doorstep.

This apartment is really well equipped, very well situated and very comfortable.

The walls must be well insulated as we couldn't hear anything from neighbouring flats. Thoroughly recommended!

Attractive rooms, clean and beautifully decorated.

Very convenient for the museum, park and walks. It was a tremendous advantage having secure, safe parking.

..brilliant having your own parking bay in the basement car park. The apartment is totally brilliant and very comfortable..spotlessly clean...wonderful welcome pack...everything you could need for a holiday and more...we could walk various ways into town and only 5/10 minutes depending which way...nice and quiet with great double glazing...super private balcony to sit out on...great bathroom with shower...it's the small touches like a lovely large picture of Whitby on the wall opposite the kitchen sink...as we love Whitby we will return soon and this will be our accomodation next time as we highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at Explorers Rest , this is one of our favourite holiday properties in Whitby, staying there on three separate occasions in recent holidays is testament to that.

The location is great, the underground parking is also such a bonus as Whitby gets very busy and has very limited parking. The holiday property is a luxurious property in all aspects, very comfortable and excellent facilities and always spotlessly clean. The owners always make our stay very welcome with a very generous welcome pack and much information on local restaurants, bars , cafes and places to visit as well as providing important contact numbers from taxis to medical assistance if ever required. Top notch holiday apartment in our apartment in lovely location right opposite Pannet Park yet only 5 - 10 minute walk into Whitby ctre.

what an amazing place! As a young couple on their first holiday together we really wanted a home from home and that's what we got. We were amazed with the cleanliness of the flat and how amazing it smelt. We were left with everything we could wish for and more. The welcome hamper and flowers was such a lovely touch. The location was perfect with a 5 minute walk from whitby and the train station, Whitby itself is beautiful with plenty of things to do, places to eat and drink. All in all would highly highly recommend to others!

The apartment block is an easy ten minute stroll into Whitby and with the added benefit of secure underground parking it was perfect for us . Everything that we needed for a really fantastic week , the apartment owners have really considered their guests and obviously take great pride in their property, it smelt gorgeous, was spotlessly clean , comfortable bed and beautifully furnished. I loved the chair by the window , lovely view . We loved Whitby , Pannett Park , a glass of wine and a beer in The Elsinore on our way home . The Magpie Cafe was superb . Goathland , York on the Park and Ride . Scarborough, Saltburn by the Sea , I could go on and on . Disappointed we hadn't booked two weeks . Will we return , absolutely

short walk to town , had a welcome basket, which was a lovely gift. bus service excellent, so I didn't have to use the car very often or at all till I came home. The parking bay was perfect, and I already recommend it to friends .

It was equipped with everything we could possibly need and spotlessly clean. The welcome hamper was very generous, the best we have ever received in a holiday property. There is just one issue we would like to raise. That is the constant noise, mainly in the bedroom, of what we assumed to be the immersion heater. I notice previous guests have commented on it in the guest book and they thought it was a ventilation system. We couldn't find any evidence of such a system or we would also have turned it off. We got used to it after a couple of days but it did keep us awake on the first night. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay and intend to book again when we next visit Whitby. Thank you. This holiday rental was excellent.

It was very well located for all parts of Whitby on foot. The accommodation was very clean well equipped and with a large comfortable bed. I am sure we will return.

Explorers rest is everything you could need in a holiday property. The welcome basket was such a lovely welcome after a long journey.

The apartment was fantastic it had everything we needed plus more.

The garage was a bonus , the car stayed inside all week. We used local buses and did loads of walking to and from town. Whitby was always a day visit for us but the week we had was lovely. We would definitely book Explorers Rest if we were going back, and will recommend it to family and friends.

A great apartment for couples, comfortably furnished, very well maintained and a really helpful host.

It’s perfectly positioned for ease of traveling along the coast or into the moors by bus or train, leaving the car in the apartments secure parking. We had some amazing coastal and moor/dales walks and hope to go back again soon as there’s so much more to do there.
