Nestled on the coast in Whitby is this fantastic semi-detached cottage, Over Esk.

Residing near the River Esk and boasting easy access to beachfront attractions, Over Esk is a charming dwelling for a family of four's seaside getaway. This home-from-home provides you with on-street parking.

Enter the home to be enveloped into a charming open-plan living/dining room, the open-concept of the room makes it a light and airy space for you to unwind in.

The sitting area is equipped for relaxation, with ample seating available for you to curl up on; switch on the TV and electric fire to enjoy a peaceful evening.

Continue through to the kitchen to find a wealth of appliances, where the chef of the group can rustle up home-cooked meals, to be enjoyed at the dining area with your loved ones.

In the evening, head to bed in a double room upstairs, a space that benefits from tasteful decor and views out to Whitby Abbey.

The snug twin room is located nearby, with pretty, nautical finishes.

The shower room is only down the corridor, featuring a shower over bath to wash the day away in.

Outside, enjoy alfresco dining on the decking or sunbathe on the loungers as your furry friends stretch their legs. Your amenities are at your doorstep in Whitby, with a selection of pubs, eateries and independent shops waiting to be explored.

Venture down to the beachfront and paddle in the waters, or walk your furry friends up to the famed Whitby Abbey; the Whitby and Captain Cook Museums also await, where you cna immerse yourself in maritime history.

Robin Hood's Bay is a great spot for the family, with a children's playground featuring sea views and the fascinating Robin Hood's Bay Museum, along with a fabulous restaurant, the Fish Box.

Venture further south to resort town of Scarborough and board the Scarborough North Bay Railway to run through the coastal scenery, or take the little one for a thrilling time at SEA LIFE or Alpamare UK.

Be sure to walk the Cleveland Way path to discover more coastal activities, or head further inland to the North York Moors National Park and get back to nature.
