Settled on the southern side of the River Esk and just a five minute walk to the bustling town centre of Whitby is this contemporary end-terrace, Salt Bay.

Positioned perfectly for a fun-filled stay in this popular seaside resort, within walking distance of all the main attractions and amenities, Salt Bay is an ideal choice for a family or group of four.

On entering the property up several steps, be welcomed into the stylish living/dining room where large sofas invite you to relax before the Smart TV after a busy day, or settle around the dining table to plan out the next day's adventures.

A door to the handy cloakroom can be found here, offering a handy room where you can avoid any bathroom queues, whilst the opposite direction brings you into the beautiful kitchen where a large kitchen island takes centre stage, and an array of appliances amidst the sleek units offer all you need for rustling up delicious dishes.

In the warmer months open up the bi-folding doors to the enclosed patio and relish the sunshine, bringing the outside in, with outdoor seating for alfresco dining, as well as enjoying a glass of bubbly in the luxurious hot tub which comfortably fits four people.

Head upstairs to find the lovely bedrooms, consisting of a master king-size room featuring a beautiful en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom, each with fresh, stylish decoration and plenty of storage for your things, all of which, having their own Smart TV.

When you're ready to begin exploring, first get the lay of the land by taking a walk along the river to the base of the 199 Steps before embarking on the ascent towards Whitby Abbey; from the top you can experience beautiful seascapes and views over the town, as well as marvel at the Gothic and eerie Abbey ruins, said to have been inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'.

Wander out to Whitby's East Pier and East Lighthouse before venturing into the town to find a spot for lunch, choosing from a host of restaurants, cafés, pubs and classic fish and chip shops.

Pass the Whalebone Arch or stop to get a holiday snap and set up camp on the beach if you've got warm weather, with Whitby's sandy strip backed by colourful beach huts and Whitby Pavilion.

For a memorable holiday excursion, head out on a boat trip with Whitby Whale Watching where cruises take passengers out to sea in search of whales, dolphins, seals and sea birds, it's sure to be a hit with any wildlife enthusiasts.

Enjoy a guided walk around this historic town with Whitby Storyteller Guided Walks and Tours, or head to the local museums including the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and Whitby Museum.

Walkers can delight in walks along the Cleveland Way, taking you along the beautiful coastline, whilst the disused railway line now transformed into The Cinder Track is perfect for walking and cycling as it's completely traffic free and runs all the way from Whitby down to Scarborough!

The natural beauty of the North York Moors National Park is not to be missed either, with a host of walking and cycling routes to be discovered, whilst Scarborough offers a lovely day out with its own beaches, castle, waterpark and SEA LIFE centre.
