The property

21 Eskdaleside is a pleasant three-storey house in Sleights, North Yorkshire, with off-road parking for five cars, an enclosed garden, and a hot tub that turns the outside space into a real highlight for group getaways.

From the moment you arrive, there’s a sense of room to unpack, settle, and begin shaping the days ahead, whether you’ve come as extended family, friends travelling together, or a mix of both.

The kitchen/diner sets an easy pace for self-catering, from first cups of tea to dinners that stretch into the evening.

Close by, the sitting room invites everyone to gather, with the woodburning stove creating a flicker of warmth while the TV takes care of entertainment after a day out.

If some of the group fancy their own corner, the snug provides a handy second lounge for quieter chats or a bit of downtime.

For lively moments, a table tennis match can quickly become the centre of the evening, adding a playful edge to rainy afternoons or post-walk wind-downs.

Sleeping arrangements are spread across the floors and designed for flexibility, making it well-suited to mixed-age parties.

With a ground-floor shower room and bathrooms on the upper levels, getting ready for the day feels straightforward, while the freestanding baths offer an indulgent option for those who prefer a long soak.

Outside, the enclosed garden is made for time together, with a lawn and patio for sunny pauses, outdoor furniture for drinks and snacks, and a summer house that adds an extra place to retreat to with a book.

The hot tub rounds things off beautifully, and two well-behaved pets are welcome to come along for the holiday too.

A shop is close by and the pub is an easy walk, so essentials are never far.

For days out, Whitby is ideal for wandering its atmospheric streets, climbing the one hundred and ninety-nine steps, and spending time around the harbour.

Goathland is noted for its heritage railway and moorland walks, while Pickering offers independent shops, historic sites, and access to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Bring every adventure back to 21 Eskdaleside.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £750.

Though quiet, Sleights boasts a pub, a fish and chip shop, an antique shop, a butcher's, a bakery, a hairdressers, a Post Office within a Spar shop. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway terminus is a few minutes’ drive with steam trains coming through Sleights, together with regular public transport to and from the nearby port of Whitby. Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
