Description

Seashells at Runswick Lodge is a welcoming, dog‑friendly ground‑floor apartment nestled in Runswick Bay, ideal for families or friends looking to unwind within the North York Moors National Park, with the beach close by and the bonus of a private patio.

On arrival, off‑road parking for one car makes settling in straightforward before stepping inside through a well‑kept communal entrance hall, which leads into the apartment itself.

Inside, the living and dining space is finished in calming blue tones, with two comfortable sofas and coastal‑themed framed artwork creating an inviting place to relax together after time spent outdoors, while French doors open out to the private patio and shared grassed garden, allowing natural light and fresh sea air to flow through and encouraging easy mornings and unhurried evenings.

The kitchen sits close at hand, thoughtfully arranged for the keen cook of the group, whether that’s preparing a quick breakfast before heading out or gathering back later to enjoy a relaxed supper.

Sleeping accommodation is arranged across three bedrooms, each finished with subtle nautical touches that reflect the nearby coastline, one king size, one double room offering restful retreats for adults and a bunk room well suited to children, making the apartment a flexible option for mixed groups.

The bathroom provides a practical yet welcoming space to unwind, ideal for washing away sandy feet or enjoying a long soak after a day spent walking.

Outside, the private patio offers a peaceful spot for morning coffee or a quiet evening pause, while the shared garden beyond adds a welcome sense of openness around the apartment.

Set within the North York Moors National Park, there is an abundance of natural beauty to uncover; lace up your hiking boots and explore winding coastal paths, sweeping moorland trails and quiet countryside routes that reward every step.

Take a trip to Staithes Museum to uncover fascinating artefacts, learn about the village’s rich maritime heritage and discover the connections to Captain Cook that helped shape this region, or make the short drive to Whitby Abbey, dramatically perched on the clifftop, where striking Gothic ruins, sweeping sea views and atmospheric surroundings form an unforgettable backdrop overlooking the town below.

After an action‑filled day in North Yorkshire, return to Seashells at Runswick Lodge and unwind.

What guests are saying

Lovely apartment, clean and cosy!

In a brilliant position, very handy for everywhere and would highly recommend! Only criticism would be if all the bedrooms were full of people it would be a serious overload for the bathroom. Could be a problem, but still a lovely apartment!!
