Blending traditional charm with thoughtful touches, it offers an appealing retreat for families or small groups eager to experience the beauty and tranquillity of this celebrated region.

Stepping inside, the living/diner immediately sets a warm tone, where the open-fire becomes a natural gathering point after days spent exploring.

Whether you’re sharing meals, playing games, or simply enjoying the flicker of the flames, the space encourages slow, enjoyable moments together.

The kitchen, equipped with a TV, provides a relaxed environment for preparing meals, from leisurely breakfasts to simple evening dishes enjoyed after a day outdoors.

The first floor hosts a double bedroom and a twin room, each offering a calm place to unwind, while the bathroom’s freestanding bath and walk-in shower provide a refreshing way to begin or end your day.

Outside, the garden’s lawn and patio offer a peaceful spot to enjoy the fresh moorland breeze, perhaps with a drink in hand as the landscape shifts with the changing light.

Glaisdale’s location makes it easy to explore the wider area.

Venture to Whitby for its historic abbey, bustling harbour, and sandy beach, perfect for families seeking seaside adventures.

Visit Goathland, where scenic walking routes and the heritage railway offer a blend of nature and nostalgia that appeals to those who enjoy the outdoors.

About the location

GLAISDALE

Whitby 9 miles; Pickering 21 miles.

A peaceful village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, Glaisdale is set amongst beautiful countryside in the heart of the Esk Valley. The village itself has a post office in the general store, an excellent butcher (famed for his pork pies) and one hotel/pub, with restaurant. Further afield, Whitby and the coast are just 9 miles away whilst the quaint moorland villages of Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham and Thornton Dale and the market town of Pickering are all within easy touring distance. For something a little quieter, why not take a trip to the less-discover gem of Saltburn by the Sea, a charming, Victorian seaside resort. The terminus of the North York Moors Railway is at nearby Grosmont, inviting you to take a steam railway ride back in history through beautiful moorland scenery.
