Lovely cottage with seaside theme in great location close to the centre of Filey and the beach!
Well stocked kitchen and welcome pack was a lovely touch! Lovely and clean, however some of the cutlery/plates etc needed washing before use as were strict/had dried food on them. Comfy beds. Board games, books and toys were all a lovely touch! :-) However the cottage seems to have some issues with damp as can see evidence of this in several places - paint peeling off the ceiling upstairs and flakes falling onto the landing too! Not a major issue but clothes when leaving smelt fusty and damp after being stored in the wardrobe/drawers of double bedroom. Also would be useful to show a photo of the stairs on the listing - steep staircase which has small square landing (approx 1m squared) with 3 other mini staircases going off this to 2 bedrooms and the bathroom - doors open directly onto steps. We were staying with young children so not ideal safety wise with this set up and may not be the best for elderly/others who struggle to mobilise/balance. Parking also quite tricky as have to find a space nearby on the street somewhere and cannot always park that close to the property. However, we still had a lovely stay despite the things mentioned above but feel would benefit from a bit of maintenance in terms of seeming damp and maybe a bit more info in the listing re stairs and parking.
Lovely cottage, perfect base for a family holiday by the sea.
Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Great location and parking was no problem right outside the property. The welcome basket was a lovely touch too, thank you!
Lovely little cottage, just right on the edge of the town centre and near pubs and restaurants.
Weather was great and one of the best stays in lovely Filey for a while.
