    “We had a four night stay here in February half term and had a fantastic time.”

    The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival, with a lovely little welcome pack. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need and gone the extra mile with some extra touches like face flannels and toiletries as well - we felt really welcome here. The property is outside of the main tourist area, in a row of houses that is a mixture of residential properties and holiday homes. The neighbours were all very friendly and welcoming. There is a supermarket nearby. It took us about ...

The property is outside of the main tourist area, in a row of houses that is a mixture of residential properties and holiday homes. The neighbours were all very friendly and welcoming. There is a supermarket nearby. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the West Cliff with two children, so probably quicker for those without, then it’s a lovely walk along the sea front and into the main town. We hardly used the car. Whitby is beautiful, similar to York but by the sea, and Robin Hoods Bay is a short drive away and really lovely. Would recommend this cottage as a reasonably priced, warm and welcoming place to stay in easy reach of all the attractions.
