“We recently stayed at this accommodation in Whitby and unfortunately came away feeling quite disappointed.”

The positives are that the location is excellent. It is situated directly opposite Pannett Park and only around a 5–10 minute walk from Whitby town centre and the harbour, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The flat also has modern furnishings, and the bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows and thick, warm duvets. The positives are that the location is excellent. It is situated directly opposite Pannett Park and only around a 5–10 minute walk from Whitby town centre and the harbour, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The flat also has modern furnishings, and the bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows and thick, warm duvets. The bedding had clearly been changed before our arrival, and the bin bags in each room had been replaced. However, cleanliness was a major issue. There were bits of dirt and debris on the floors throughout the property, along with small insects crawling around the living room. My fluffy bed socks were ruined from walking around on the unclean floors. We found spiders and cobwebs in the bath which had to be cleaned before use, and there were also dead moths on the floor. Arrival was frustrating as we struggled to gain access to the flat. The entry code system was difficult to use and even after phoning the contact number provided in the email, we still had problems. Eventually, we managed to force the door open ourselves. There were also safety concerns. The carpet on the third stair was loose and not fitted properly, creating a potential trip hazard. While the furniture appears modern at first glance, much of it is looking quite worn and tatty. For the price paid, I would expect a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. The location is great, but the issues with cleanliness, access, and general upkeep significantly affected our stay. I have photos of the loose stair carpet and the condition of the floors to support these concerns.
