Get set for an incredible year with these 2023 events in North Yorkshire…

Easter in Yorkshire

Easter Sunday 2023 falls on Sunday 9th April, which means the four-day weekend kicks off from Good Friday on the 7th. There’s a whole lot of fun to be had with North Yorkshire Easter events, including plenty of family days out.

Try the Easter Adventure at Stockeld Park or climb Brimham Rocks for an Easter egg hunt. There are also fairy trails at Newby Hall or the delectable York Chocolate Festival, so check back regularly for dates in the calendar.

Whitby Goth Weekend

There are a lot of things that Yorkshire has given the world, but perhaps none so spooky as Whitby Goth Weekend. Celebrating literary greats like Bram Stoker and his Dracula, the weekend sees thousands of revellers dressing up and heading to the seaside town.

Here you’ll catch the Bizarre Bazaar Alternative Market and enjoy alternative music. It happens twice a year, so pop these year’s dates in your calendar: Friday 28th to Sunday 30th April and Friday 27th to Sunday 29th October.

Bridlington Kite Festival

There’s nothing like the Yorkshire coast for flying a kite – and Bridlington Kite Festival always delivers. This year’s event takes place between Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May 2023, from 10am to 5pm.

Some of the largest kites in the world will take to the skies of the Bridlington clifftops, with a kaleidoscope of colours floating about Sewerby Fields. If you know your kites, expect to see flying frogs, snakes, lizards and dragons, as well as large inflatables. You can even rent your own kite for a flying session before heading down to the beach.
