“A great location, peaceful with lots of birdsong.”

We enjoyed having breakfast in the garden. Very comfortable bed, sofa not so much, but we were busy enjoying the cliff walks most of the time! We liked being able to walk to the cliffs along footpaths from the cottage (takes about 30 minutes), and also into Flamborough (less than 15 minutes).

Very nice cottage well placed good east coast base very clean and warm and cosy the only negative are the settee is very uncomfortable and the back yard was not fully enclosed you went to the trouble of putting chicken wire round three sides but not under the hedge hence our dog kept getting out and would not book again because of thease factors

“Lovely cottage in a nice location , however the stay was marred by an issue with the heating and WiFi ….”

.twice we had to wait in the cold for someone to come and assist in getting the heating back on ( in fairness they did turn up pretty quickly) . A further incident occurred , with the heating , on the Wednesday morning. By that time we had become fed up of having to ring to get someone out so we decided to return home a day early

“We loved our stay in Guillemot cottage in Flamborough.”

We brought our two golden retrievers and our cockapoo. It was so lovely to be able to take our three dogs away and stay in such a great property. The cottage itself was really clean and pleasant. The outside area available was perfect for our dogs and parking was good too. To top at all, Flamborough and nearby Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough had dog friendly beaches. So our dogs enjoyed themselves too.

“Perfect little cottage for two with everything provided.”

Even a Bluetooth speaker. Four poster bed and the back garden area was great. BBQ and seating provided. If you are visiting Bempton Cliffs there is a footpath straight out the back of the property that leads directly to the cliff path. Just 5 km to the RSPB reserve. A pre visit phone call to check everything was ok and asking about any special requirements was very much appreciated. Really enjoyed this stay and intent to return.

“This is one of the most beautiful holiday lets we have stayed in.”

We literally had everything and more that we could need. It was like home from home. Above and beyond for our little dog Bob. We absolutely loved everything about it and will definitely be back. “For me this was a cottage of two halves, the location was good, the area was quiet and the cottage was comfortable.”

However I fou d the cleanliness and overall appearance of the inside was not what I expected on sitting at the dining table we noticed a bog scratch a roos the top of it, you could say general wear and tear but not good, the flooring in the main kitchen, living area was lifted in placed thus causing a trip hazard for my husband who has balance problems and the walls in various places had marks on them. We were left instructions not to stop the bed which is fine and to leave any towels we had not used to one side to help the cleaners with the environment, does this mean they were to be left out for the next people? I would have touched them so hope that is not the case. Overall the cleanliness for me left a lot to be desired for the money paid.

“Although the cleanliness looked ok on arrival after settling in we could see lots of cobwebs that had obviously been there a long time, they were clinging to wall in rooms and especially bad in the beams in the bathroom.”

The bathroom floor looks vey dirty but is actually ground in dirt from past use so could do with a deep clean or replacing. The property could do with some manuals especially for the heating.

“The Cottage was lovely, very clean and spacious.”

The area was quiet and very peaceful. We only struggled with the heating, we noticed it was on and not sure at first how to turn off but my Partner worked it out. Our little doggie was comfortable too and the garden area was big enough for a morning walk for him, you just need to ensure to keep on a leash as it is not enclosed but so many places / beaches to go to for walks. We would definitely return to the cottage.

“The cottage was very well kept and in a good location.”

Easy to get to a from several location. We visited Daynes Dyke for the first time, which was a few minutes drive and we really enjoyed it. Was a nice sized garden out back and our three pooches enjoyed that. We went on some nice walks and enjoyed Flamborough, it was nice to be so close. We had absolutely no troubles with the booking or stay. Furniture is not very comfortable to lounge and watch TV in the evening and the mattress on the bed was quite hard. Furnishing looks really nice though. Regardless we would definitely stay again. Very nice, quiet and well kept cottage. Couldn't figure out how to turn the heating off, bedroom was very warm, tried ringing with no answer so just opened the window.
