My son,my dog and myself had a lovely relaxing holiday in chalet 1.

We took an inflatable bed for my son to sleep on . We moved the furniture around to fit a double inflatable mattress to fit beside the double bed and still had enough room without having to deflate it every day.My dog had her own bed which also fitted in . We found something to do every day and didn't really have to travel far in the car to get to the places that we visited.We went to Eden camp,Malton,and Scarborough,also we found a retail park in Scarborough and enjoyed some retail therapy.There are plenty of dog friendly pubs that served nice food and they were all very welcoming and the food was nice,and reasonably priced too. The surrounding countryside was beautiful.We were allowed to walk the dog in all the fields around the Snooty Fox,it was perfect.On our return we enjoyed time in the hot tub which was lovely and totally private.I would definitely recommend the site to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.All the staff were lovely .

The chalet was perfect. The location was the reason for booking. Peace and tranquility. Everything was great. And the hot tub was amazing. The staff even provided us with a bottle of bubbly and decorations to celebrate the occasion. Absolute lovely weekend.

Only thing that stopped it getting 5 star was the mattress, was really uncomfortable.

Other than that, great place to stay. Staff are friendly, room was clean and the facilities are great too.

This chalet was absolutely beautiful and amazing to stay at with my dog, the facilities of the holiday park was very accessible and very accommodating having supplies like an air fryer, heater fan, toaster, patio area, hot tub etc.

The views of the valleys and hilltops were amazing especially when the sun was rising in the mornings was so beautiful to witness. Highly recommend you stay here a few nights

The chalet was not fully advertised, there was no mention of the lack of kitchen facilities.

We only found out on arrival that there is only a microwave, kettle and toaster, no cooker or hob in sight so no way of cooking up something simple. We like to travel and see the sights and so are out for most of the day, often arriving late, being out in the middle of nowhere with no food options was not good. On site pub/entertainment was only open for one day during our week long stay.

Stayed in chalet 1, more like hotel room really but was fine, staff really friendly, had lovely stay, small things really but the bed wasn't the comfiest, and because you only have the bed to sit on was but ov issue.

Tv bit small from distance you had to watch it from, we probably wouldn't return but only because we had dog with us, ideally need enclosed area for him , nothing really spoiled our stay lovely and peaceful, had days out in Scarborough and filey.

A really lovely place to stay overall.

The chalet is well set up and has a cosy feel. The kitchenette is small but functional, with an air fryer, kettle, and microwave provided. There’s no hob or oven, so you do need to get a bit creative with meals. One downside was the lack of basic utensils like a spatula or tongs—it made cooking a bit tricky (and slightly hazardous when using the air fryer!). It’s also worth bringing air fryer liners and essentials like dish sponges. These are small things, but they make a big difference—especially as there are no nearby shops if you’re planning a relaxed, stay-in weekend. The highlight was definitely the hot tub right outside the door. The surrounding privacy fence makes a huge difference and really sets this place apart—a great touch. The en suite bathroom was clean and well presented. The hot water took a little while to come through, but once it did, it was absolutely fine. I do have to mention the bed—it wasn’t very sturdy and felt quite low quality, almost like sleeping on a cardboard box at times. It’s probably fine for a teenager’s first double bed, but for two adults it didn’t feel particularly supportive. It wasn’t so much about comfort as the lack of stability. A heater is provided and was definitely needed—it made a big difference to the overall comfort. Self check-in was seamless and really convenient, allowing us to arrive whenever suited us. There is a reception on site, but we didn’t need to use it. We didn’t make use of the on-site facilities like the bar or play area, but they looked good from what we could see. All in all, a really nice spot and somewhere we’d happily return to with a few small improvements.

During our stay, we had a very disappointing experience due to interactions with on-site management.

We felt we were wrongly challenged regarding the number of occupants in the chalet, despite only myself and my 10‑year‑old son staying there. The night she accused me of having people in the chalet was a night when I had to return home for a family matter. She accused us of using the hot tub as a swimming pool and said a complaint had been made regarding my son running past a chalet to go to the park, bearing in mind we were in the far corner and the only way to get out was to pass by the rest of the chalets in the row. She came to put her complaint to me while she was on her phone the whole time, scrolling, and never once looked at me. We left on the Tuesday afternoon instead of the Friday, as we were made to feel unwelcome. She said she had people coming into the next‑door chalet later on that day, and she implied that she would be keeping an eye on us. My mum booked the property on our behalf. She has stayed in this accommodation two times previously, and she said she won’t stay here again.

It would have been good if there had been an outlook u basically look out ur door/window in to a fence.

Would have preferred if the chalet and hot tub were one complete unit A bit remote for us so unlikely to return.

My hubby, me and Hunter (our dog) had a wonderful 3 night stay here.

We had been sent all the details by e mail with access codes. There's a sign at the entrance saying for visitors to go to reception, I sent the hubby in. We didn't need to do that but the lovely friendly lady in reception showed us to our chalet. Chalet 1 at the Snooty Fox had everything we needed. There's a mini fridge, which was bigger than expected, toaster, microwave, and airfryer. It was spotless and the complimentary tea, coffee. Sugar and biscuits were just what needed after the journey. The bed was comfy and the tv is ideal for watching in bed We had a walk around the site with the dog, everyone was friendly, and Hunter got so much attention. We didn't visit the pub as it's cash only, we didn't have any the first night and forgot to get some the second night. The hot tub was just what we needed after a day of walking. The Snooty Fox is an ideal base to visit nearby places. We had a brilliant stay and we would definitely stay again and this time we will make sure we have some money to spend in the pub

Great stay at chalet 1, hot tub was a big thumbs up from us.

Excellent location, attractions within a short driving distance. Chalet was clean. Downsides to chalet 1 was that the WiFi did not work, even when we reached out to the contact number this still wasn’t able to be resolved. Bed was quite low and uncomfortable but was manageable for a short stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay there and found our chalet very comfortable and what we needed.

Very clean and presentable. Also located in a very nice spot. Everything was well maintained including the grounds. But if I could make some suggestions that would improve it. The bed was very low and found it challenging to get in and out of. Also the mattress wasn’t very comfortable you could feel the springs through the mattress. Also would suggest putting in a two seater couch instead of a single little chair as you don’t want to be lying on the bed all the time especially on days you can’t go out much due to bad weather. We would definitely book there again as we loved our stay there.

A great little base for a trip to the coast.

Small but cosy & an added touch of luxury with the hot tub. We had a few daddy long legs lurking in the bath tub when we arrived but everything else was clean, the mattress isn’t the greatest and you can feel the springs but we slept ok for the two nights we were there. Overall, I can’t fault it for the price, we would return

Had a lovely stay in June for 7 nights.

The chalet was clean and adequate for our needs, there was plenty of hot water and a small heater if we needed it, the only downside was it was dark in the chalet all day due to the high fence of the hot tub area being in front of the window which meant putting the light on. The chalet would also benefit from a small wardrobe instead of the hanging rail that's there, the other chalets have wardrobes so its not impossible. The hot tub are was lovely and private the hot tub was great and there's no complaints there. The area is great for getting out and about and only 20 minutes from the coast. We would definitely recommend and return in the future.

We both had a lovely relaxing few days, felt very comfortable and secure.

Perfect little chalet for a weekend break.

Clean, cosy and lovely vibe. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Hot tub and decking area were amazing, nice and private from the other chalets so felt relaxed and comfortable for the entirety of our stay.

The property was beautiful.

The hot tub was well maintained. Only reason for the 4* was that there was no hob to enable making meals instead of eating out most of the time, and the bed wasn’t that comfortable but I’ve been to places where the bed was a lot worse. The air fryer was helpful as at least we could cook a breakfast bap.

Chalet 1 is brilliant.

It is modern and was very clean and the private hot-tub area is perfect too. However, the double bed is very uncomfortable as it was very thin and too hard. This was the only thing that ruined our stay as the bed was so bad we didnt get alot of sleep during our stay. If the matress was replaced with a comfier one our stay would have been faultless.

Lovely stay just the bed felt like we was sleeping on the floor.

But after saying that had a great few days would go again

We paid for a 2 night stay with Hot Tub , however because the hot tub had been refilled it wasn't warm enough to use until 20:30 on the Friday, really not good enough when that is why we paid to stay here, its a shame as the rest of the facilities were good.

To say you wouldn't want to use an unclean tub is correct but if you need to drop and refill it then do it early or fill with warm water so that it's ready for your guests to use when they arrive

Hi, everything was great until we were awakened by shouting and banging on a nearby chalet on Thursday (19/10/23) at 3 a.

m., unfortunately this went on for some time so we got very little sleep. When we arrived for our break we were told that the onsite pub was only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday so when we arrived back on the Wednesday afternoon after a day out, there were people stood outside the pub drinking. This obviously went on for a long time and was the reason for being awoken at 3 a.m. We will not be using Sykes again unless we are assured this was a one off occurrence.

I was pleased with the amenities.

They supplied a welcome drinks pack, which included tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. Basic kitchen facilities, mini fridge, microwave, toaster and an air fryer was surprisingly sufficient. Due to the bad weather the internet was not working the first day we arrived. The weather also limited usage of the hot tub, a cover over the tub would have been beneficial.

This was a really lovely stay, there were just a couple of points that were disappointing, but not bad on the grand scheme of things.

I read all the fine print, need to take oven gloves etc, with that brought food, upon arrival there is no oven so some food was wasted that couldn't fit in the microwave. It wasn't so bad we just took a trip to the coast instead to eat. Although there was a TV, no channels worked, it had Netflix and Prime, also didn't seem to work either (I could have been using it wrong but there was nothing to suggest how to do it right) Although these were niggles it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. The staff were lovely and I would definitely go back again.

Wouldn’t be for young couples but if your looking for a nice quite retreat then this is the place.

Accommodation looks fairly new and fresh. Bartender very bubbly, polite and very helpful. Dressing gowns provided for hot tub use. Bad points - Toilet roll holder was hanging off and silicone around shower glass coming off, few bug squashed marks on the walls.

We had a very enjoyable stay, the only reason we gave 4 stars and not 5 was purely the bed could of been more comfortable and the kitchen could do with a hob, but the description was spot on, and the place was immaculate, the small garden was very clean and the Hot tub was lovely at the end of the day.

The bar was nice with friendly staff, the whole site was very clean and tidy. Would definitely go back.and recommend to others.

Lovely secluded place with beautiful views.

Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. Hot tub was fantastic. Has all you need for a weekend away. Kettle, toaster, plates , cups, glasses, cutlery and even a tin opener. Excellent little bar on site which was welcoming by all. Would highly recommend for a weekend break

Beautiful little chalet clean fresh and modern loved the fact that the hot tub was private only down fall was needed somewhere to hang towels as it was raining but we improvised Will definitely will be returning

We enjoyed our stay, but did have a few concerns with the property.

Firstly was the cleanliness, the floors were unclean, and we found part of a false nail on the bathroom floor. Also the bedding was dark and thus we were unable to tell how clean it was. Also all of our towels were damp on arrival, and so were the additional towels we requested. On arrival we checked the hot tub and were disappointed to find it was not clean nor hot. We were informed that it had been drained and cleaned that morning and that the cleaner had forgotten to turn it on. This meant we were unable to use it all day. We have been offered a £40 refund for this. There were flies in the hot tub which someone removed with a net, and there was also sediment at the bottom which we were told would be picked up by the filter, however this remained there over the days. When the hot tub was heated the next day it was very overfilled, so water spilled over the edges when we tried to get in. The room itself was nicely presented, as was the patio area, but the cleanliness and issues with the hot tub left us feeling quite disappointed.

We thought the chalet was great, clean, modern, and well-equipped for our visit, also loved the hot tub.

The privacy was good and the site was very clean, tidy, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to use as a base to explore the area which has some great walks for us and the pooch.

Absolutely loved every minute of a really brilliant holiday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chalet 1 on the Snooty fox site.

It was a little confusing on arrival as it wasn't clear where we needed to go to find the chalet however another guest pointed us in the right direction. The chalet was clean and had ample amenities. We were provided with a kettle, microwave, toaster, cutlery for two, a tin bottle opener, bin bags and a dustpan and brush. There was also washing up liquid, tea and coffee, hand wash and hand cream and a tea towel which was great. The fridge was very small, a two pint of milk couldn't stand upright, and were it not for the fact we visited in January and could chill stuff outside it would have been a real pain. The staff provided plenty of towels and even brought us some fresh ones during our stay. The room was warm and the TV had freeview. The wifi wasn't great, however our phone signal was good. We could have done with some coat pegs as we had to put coats on the chair. I also struggled to find the bins to dispose of our rubbish and didn't see any recycling stations, this could have been an oversight but the lack of recycling was disappointing. The hot tub was clean, maintained and within a private area which was a really nice touch as you didn't feel overlooked. The site was well kept but quite empty and the bar was only open Fri-Sun. The location was good for catching a bus to Scarborough which out of season was only £2 for a single ticket and came hourly. There was a lovely pub which served hearty, well cooked and delicious meals in West Heslerston which is just 5 minutes drive down the road. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend the site for a short break for adults.

Overall it was a great stay.

It was clean, modern and a nice little chalet. Close enough to Scarborough etc and less than 1 hour to Whitby which was nice. It was easy to access the site with the key code pad and we could come and go as we wished. The only criticisms are that the bed was really uncomfortable. We could feel the wooden slats through the mattress. Secondly we wanted to use the hot tub one night, but the smoke and smell from the open fire inside the main building was too overpowering to be able to sit out in the hot tub. It would be helpful to have lights outside of the site so that the sign can be seen in the dark, as this made it difficult to find.

We had a fantastic weekend and will definitely be coming back!

The room was clean, modern and well designed. The staff on site were fantastic, extremely friendly. Especially frank in the pub and sue. The site its self was very clean and tidy. Honestly these guys were awesome. 100% would go again!

Overall we had the most lovely stay at Chalet 1, lovely location for all surrounding areas and many places to visit withing 30 minute drive.

We would definitely stay again. Few issues we had were the gate not fully closing to the Hot Tub area from the outside, the Chalet could have done with a few more essentials like a brush or hoover to keep on top of cleaning as we were there for a week. Maybe a suggestion to add a mid week spruce for longer stays? And it would have been nice to have something other than the bed to sit on in the evening for comfort. But apart from that it was great!

Ideally need cooking facilities as very little options to eat out in local area.

Alot of dog hair left in the room from a previous visit and floor needed a sweep. Also hair and bugs in some of the draws. Hot tub was great though

We stay in chalet 1 when we arrived it was lovely and clean the room was beautifully decorated and the added bonus of toilet roll tea coffee and sugar satchets washing up liquid was a bonus the hot tub was perfect to come back to after a day of sightseeing couldn't fault staying here only down side was the site club wasn't open during the week only weekends we will definitely come back but for a weekend we met Sam the owner and her staff and friendly and helpful

Had a lovely 3 night mid week stay at these lovely New chalets.

Had a couple of teething problems that were resolved immediately. Perfect for a couples who want a modern, clean place to stay. Private hottub area. Perfect that you can take your dog with you too. Couple of dog friendly pubs just a couple of miles down the road in two different villages that do lovely food . Club house onsite is open I believe on a Friday and Saturday at present. Can't wait to return in July .

The overall property was clean and well set out, hot tub was great.

I would suggest you don't advertise smart TV and WiFi as you cannot use WIFI or the features of the TV also fridge is a mini fridge and not much fitted in and it smelt quite bad. Toilet roll holder wasn't fixed to the wall was hanging off. Needed a brush and dust pan. But other than that we had a great time, great site, lovely bar although it was only open the day before we came back. Definately would recommend and we would use again....

We loved our stay.

It was clean, fresh and must have just been recently renovated which meant it was sleek and very modern. The hot tub was well kept and we loved how we had our private area to enjoy the hot tub and relax to watch the stars. We'd highly recommend anyone to stay and we'll be back in the future! The only thing I'd say that needing improvement is having WiFi on site to access smart TV functions.
