A charming mid-terrace traditional cottage perched in Hinderwell, North Yorkshire. Woodburning stove. Near beach and coast. Open-plan. Dog-friendly. Whitby 8.9 miles.

Lovely cottage

Really well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lots of thoughtful attention to detail. Definitely home from home. Would certainly come back and recommend

Pebble House is a charming, classic mid-terrace cottage located just off the major road in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, north of Whitby. The house is suitable for families and friends who want to enjoy the magnificent blend of moorland and seaside in this attractive section of the country, and it is well-maintained and well-equipped. The spacious dining room features sumptuous seating and a good selection of books and games to keep you entertained on a rainy day. Downstairs, there is a welcoming sitting room enjoying the flickering flames of the woodburner and an archway adjoining the spacious dining room, which enjoys sumptuous seating and a decent range of books and games to keep you entertained on a drizzly day. The well-equipped galley type kitchen has access to a small back yard, and there is an enclosed gravelled area in front of the house where guests may relax and unwind while enjoying the weather. The three delightful bedrooms can be found upstairs, which include a king-size, double, and single with pull-out bed, and are spread across two floors while good flexibility to meet all needs; all are served by a stylish shower room. For added convenience, the double-bedroom on the second story is also accessible by open tread steps. Within a short walk of this delightful home are great local amenities, including a superb butcher, a local bar, a tea-room, and a village shop. Runswick Bay, a charming fishing community about one mile away, has a sandy cove with options for fossil hunting and rock pooling, which is always popular with the kids! Explore the adjacent seaside town of Whitby, rich in history, with its tiny, cobbled streets, intriguing shops, and historic abbey, or take a bracing cliff-top stroll on the Cleveland Way with spectacular coastline views. Pebble Cottage, located on the outskirts of the North York Moors, is a great location for walking, travelling, or simply exploring the charming coastal towns and villages.

Beautiful property, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need. Owner very helpful when we had a problem with TV. Will certainly book this property again.
Mrs Williams
Lovely well equipped cottage. Great base to explore North Yorkshire.
Mrs Jackson
Lovely cottage, well situated. Suspect the attic room would have been way too hot this summer. Not a complaining, just an observation. It looks a lovely room though. But for 2 plus dog it was a perfect house.
Mr Rowe
Lovely cottage in the perfect location for visiting beautiful beaches up and down the coast. Everything you could need with the exception of local amenities as neither pub in the village serves food now which was disappointing. Parking was also a slight problem and cottage felt cold. Apart from minor niggles it was everything we wanted for a lovely week away in a beautiful area of the east coast.
Mrs Brown
Amazing location. House is home from home with everything you need. It was our second visit and we will be back!
Mrs Isaac
Could not fault the property at all it had everything described in the listing. We had a great time on our stay. One thing that should be mentioned in the visitors information is that currently the Brown Cow pub does not serve food. It's not a major problem but needs to be noted.
Mr Heaford
Fabulous cottage. Lovely and clean, everything you needed. Would highly recommend.
