Lots of crockery & cutlery. The super king in front bedroom 1st floor was lumpy & uncomfortable. Curtains need hanging back up in lounge & bedroom. Lots of missing light bulbs, dust, walls & skirting boards scruffy & dirty. Shower in 1st floor front bedroom very poor water supply, needs sealing & lots of timescale. The sofas were in a terrible state & very unappealing. Kitchen floor hasn't been mopped in a long time so we did that for them & swept back yard. There are no pretty flowers in the yard! Shame it's in a great location but for us everything needs updating as it's shabby. Cupboard doors are dirty & in need of replacing/TLC. Didn't venture up to 2nd floor as there was only 3 of us so can't comment. We had a problem with locking the sash window in the lounge on first night but the owner came to sort the next day for us no problem. Great communication from Wendy. You are expected to strip the beds & put the garden bins out & we were asked to leave by 10am at the latest which is check out time so expecting people to leave earlier is a little cheeky. The house is well positioned & easy walk for beach & town. With some TLC would be a fabulous house.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that you were unhappy with aspects of the property during your stay. I was quite surprised to read some of the points raised, as they weren’t mentioned at any time during your visit—even though I checked in to ensure everything was going smoothly. Had we been made aware, we would have done our best to resolve them promptly, just as we did with the window issue. As your booking came through just a few hours before check-in, I personally handled the changeover and can confirm that the floors were thoroughly cleaned and mopped, and the curtains were properly hung when I left the property.
