Harbour cottage is a wonderful holiday home nestled on The Bay near Filey, North Yorkshire. Great for families and their four-legged friends. Shared open garden great for socialising. Filey 3 miles; Scarborough 9.5 miles.

Filey 2.8 miles. Harbour Cottage is a charming two-bedroom cottage located in Filey near Primrose Valley in North Yorkshire. Harbour Cottage is a great option for couples or a family of five, as it is both dog-friendly and located just a short drive from the beach and the Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast. The property features a great front patio with furniture, ideal for outdoor dining with a bottle of wine, and off-road communal parking for one car at the front. There is a bright and airy open-plan living space inside, with a well-equipped kitchen where you can whip up family favourites to enjoy at the dining table for five as you plan the following days itinerary, and a lovely sitting room with plush seating and a Smart TV where you can relax after a day of exploring. A cloakroom is available on the ground floor as well. Upstairs, you'll find two beautifully designed bedrooms: a double and a family room with a bunk bed and a single bed. The upstairs bathroom is well equipped for a relaxing bath or a quick freshen up under the overhead shower. Get to know your surroundings by visiting the restaurants, bars, and shops around. If you need a break from cooking, head to The John Paul Jones for a meal, The Coble for a pint of local brew, the convenience store for some necessities, or The Bay Beach for some relaxation. Filey has a greater variety of services, including the Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, the Glen Gardens, the golden sands of Filey Beach, the Filey Museum, and the famous Filey Golf Club, so if you're looking for something to do, head into town. FILEY MUSEUM A past winner of Discover Yorkshire Coast’s Small Attraction of the Year award, is housed in a building dating from 1696, and is crammed with fascinating memorabilia, including an extensive photographic archive.

DALBY FOREST Cyclists can enjoy a challenge at Dalby Forest, or perhaps follow some of the Tour De Yorkshire route and tackle the famous Cote De Harwood Dale or just pedal village to village along the idyllic country roads of the nearby Wolds and admire the views made famous by leading artist David Hockney.

BEMPTON CLIFFS Bird Lovers will love the nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs to see the 250,000 guillemots, gannets and puffins who flock there to raise their young between April and August.

It is a haven for birds and animals, including an important colony of great-crested newts and has an interesting Visitor Centre.

STEPHEN JOSEPH THEATRE Scarborough is 20 minutes north of Filey where theatre goers can enjoy the world premieres of Alan Ayckbourn plays plus Scarborough Open Air Theatre attracts many world-class artists – recent concerts have included Britney Spears, The Beach Boys, Little Mix and Tom Jones! RESTAURANTS Filey has a number of restaurants including many renowned fish and chip eateries, good local inns, English, Chinese and India restaurants.

There are charming tea rooms to enjoy the gentle pleasure of taking afternoon tea SHOPPING Boasting splendid Edwardian architecture, Filey is home to many quirky shops – while away an afternoon browsing and collecting souvenirs.
