Willow Property 29 The Parade is a charming cottage located on The Bay, a popular holiday village in Filey, Yorkshire. This holiday home, perched on the lovely East Riding of Yorkshire's shores, offers the ideal combination of coast and country, with plenty of sights to see and attractions to visit on your doorstep.

Head inside the property to be welcomed by the living/dining area, where you can lounge on the leather sofa and watch your favourite TV shows on the Smart TV. Gather with your loved ones to enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner which has been rustled up with the help of the kitchen's fantastic range of appliances. The ground level is completed with a well-designed cloakroom with both a basin and a WC, the ideal area to freshen up in after an action-packed day down by the seaside. Ascend the curved staircase to the first floor at the end of the day to relax in one of the two tastefully decorated bedrooms, which include a double and a twin; both bedrooms have a plenty of storage for your belongings. A superb, family bathroom across the hall with a huge tub and overhead shower lets you start your day with a refreshing rinse or a lengthy and restful soak.

Take a short plunge in the on-site swimming pool or play a fast game of tennis with your friends. Pack your bucket and space and take them down to The Bay Beach for some fun in the sun or change into your most comfortable walking gear and embark on a breath-taking hike along the extraordinary RSPB Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast. Spend the day in the adjacent town of Filey, where you can play a round of golf at the local club or visit the Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park to see exotic wildlife. Take the train to Scarborough, a renowned coastal town known for Terror Tower, The Secret Garden, and the enthralling historic fortress of Scarborough Castle.

There is also the fascinating SEA LIFE Scarborough and the exhilarating Alpamare waterpark, along with the North Bay Heritage Railway and the Rotunda Museum, which provide entertainment for the entire family. Or try your hand at water sports such as sailing or surfing or just settle down in a deck chair with a good book and enjoy the sunshine.

THE COBLE LANDING Lined with boats and kiosks selling coffee, tea, seaside snacks and even those ever-popular bacon sandwiches, The Coble Landing is a must to enjoy the views before a walk along the spacious promenade, dotted with coastal themed sculptures.

THE FILEY BRIGG You can walk to the tip of this narrow rock peninsular during low tide and maybe see a seal, sunbathing on the rocks.

The cliff top above The Brigg forms part of the Country Park, which is popular with picnickers, birdwatchers and hang-gliders and is the start of The Wolds Way.

FILEY MUSEUM A past winner of Discover Yorkshire Coast’s Small Attraction of the Year award, is housed in a building dating from 1696, and is crammed with fascinating memorabilia, including an extensive photographic archive.

DALBY FOREST Cyclists can enjoy a challenge at Dalby Forest, or perhaps follow some of the Tour De Yorkshire route and tackle the famous Cote De Harwood Dale or just pedal village to village along the idyllic country roads of the nearby Wolds and admire the views made famous by leading artist David Hockney.

BEMPTON CLIFFS Bird Lovers will love the nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs to see the 250,000 guillemots, gannets and puffins who flock there to raise their young between April and August.

It is a haven for birds and animals, including an important colony of great-crested newts and has an interesting Visitor Centre.

STEPHEN JOSEPH THEATRE Scarborough is 20 minutes north of Filey where theatre goers can enjoy the world premieres of Alan Ayckbourn plays plus Scarborough Open Air Theatre attracts many world-class artists – recent concerts have included Britney Spears, The Beach Boys, Little Mix and Tom Jones! RESTAURANTS Filey has a number of restaurants including many renowned fish and chip eateries, good local inns, English, Chinese and India restaurants.

There are charming tea rooms to enjoy the gentle pleasure of taking afternoon tea SHOPPING Boasting splendid Edwardian architecture, Filey is home to many quirky shops – while away an afternoon browsing and collecting souvenirs.
