The place was spotlessly clean and had a really nice relaxing feel. The kitchen had everything you needed and being open plan meant that you could still relax whilst preparing meals. The outside space was much bigger than expected and totally enclosed and, being blessed with the weather, we really enjoyed having the door open in the knowledge our dog was completely safe. Something very important to us.
The location was fantastic. We wanted somewhere quiet yet accessible and this was the perfect place. The views of the countryside and sea in the distance from the courtyard and drive are beautiful and all you can hear is birdsong and sheep in the surrounding fields. It feels wonderfully rural, yet within a few minutes, you are on the way to Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Scarborough (all within 20 mins) and many other local coastal areas, like Ravenscar and Hayburn Wyke (within 10 mins).
The owners are lovely people who are on hand, but don't disturb you, other than to give you a warm welcome.
We rarely go back to places as there are so many to visit, but this is somewhere we would definitely revisit and have already recommended to others.
