“We, like others, loved the cottage- a beautifully converted stone barn set with a lovely sun trap front garden & a well planted mature back garden both are securely surrounded with wooden fence & hedging along with cattle wire fencing.”

Our two Labradors loved it, room to run around & secure. As others mentioned- yes the metal gates (4 in total) are of a wider gap design- 100mm/4” between bars so owners of smaller dogs would need to monitor at all times! Quality of fittings is great - particularly the bathroom & kitchen as well as the bedrooms. Everything you’ll need is there, they even swapped the Prosecco for white wine in the welcome package as we don’t drink fizzy! Bath was, shower was spot on & a great Bluetooth ...

Bath was, shower was spot on & a great Bluetooth HIB mirror in there too to allow you to play music off your phone should you want. Our only negative was the height of the tv in the lounge - it’s set too high up on the wall in a smallish room with a chesterfield type of settee so you end up looking up with no neck support- we found this very uncomfortable! Had it been on the side unit it would have been fine & we found that if we had been a party of 4 it would have been a little tight in the lounge together if all adults. But the rest of the cottage is more than capable of catering for four. Beware the very muddy track up & around to Gormire lake, great once you get there but the fields tend to hold the rain along the tracks - wellies are a must as it’s VERY muddy as the guide on the kitchen notice board says. The Wi-Fi issues stated in other reviews seems to have been sorted- we had adequate service throughout although conflicting info on notice board to connect- one said ‘The Old Dairy’ for the network & ‘DAIRY’ and *** as the password Another was same network with moonstone as password! We found the only network was ‘DAIRY’ & password to be ‘Dairy’ plus the last bit stated
