“We have just had a lovely few nights at Seascape Cottage with our dog.”

The cottage has been very tastefully restored and is very comfortable. The only complaint is the parking. It is very tight to park a 4x4, reversing into the designated parking spot and avoiding all the wheelie bins lined up. The grassed area towards the gates was also very long, making it difficult to close the gates to keep the dog safe. The description states parking for two cars but does not mention how tight the access is, and I really don’t know how two cars would fit on the parking ...

Other than the parking, we enjoyed our stay.

Hi Avril, thank you for your feedback on your stay I’m happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. I have looked into the parking situation, our welcome booklet, that is sent to all guests with the check in info clearly says that there is parking for one car on the block paved area, and mentions that it is tight and you can use the nearby Co op car park if you’re not comfortable with the parking provided. I have a 4x4 so appreciate it is tight hence mentioning it and offering an alternative. On looking further into this I realised you booked via a third party booking site who do state that there is parking for 2 cars. This is an admin error on their part which has now been resolved thanks to you highlighting it. With regards to the grass, you are totally right. Although this grass area is no man’s land in terms of ownership, I do maintain it for our guests. It appears our gardener hasn’t been going and cutting the grass and I was unaware due to always using the front entrance. I struggled today to open the gates but it has been strimmed and tidied today. I do apologise about these issues and am disappointed that it stopped you fully enjoying your stay. We are extremely proud of our high review score but you have highlighted some issues which I have now rectified and will continue to monitor and whilst I can’t make the lane wider I can make sure guests are not misled about the parking situation. Thank you for booking your stay with us. Kindest Regards Sam Property Owner
