Ideal location for York centre, just a few minutes walk to the shops, restaurants, and pubs. Lovely accommodation, very clean, excellent throughout, very well presented. Comfortable and very quiet. Would highly recommend.

“The location is excellent.”

We never used the car from when we first arrived to leaving. The area feels very safe. The property is well designed and the kitchen delightful, however as all the main rooms are at the back we found it surprisingly dark. The sun only reaches the patio for a short while in the morning. In hot weather, of course it would be a welcome cool spot. We slept on the second floor to be close to the bathroom. There is more than enough storage space between the bedrooms and little dressing room. We found the bed less than comfortable. A mattress topper might help. We found it very easy to walk to the many sites, restaurants and bars and thoroughly enjoyed reaquainting ourselves with this historic city with the help of the comprehensive information in the welcome pack.

“Brilliant house with a fantastic location so close to the main part of the city, with good parking.”

The house was very well looked after and had most of what we where looking for in a city holiday. The only points which where slightly negative, was the shower floor on the first floor was extremely slippery, and we had to find a show mat in the shops, also the bed on the first floor was not designed for anyone over 6 foot tall, which made sleeping difficult due to foot board. Apart from these concerns we would love to stay again in the future.

“Absolutely great.”

Fantastic location, very clean. Just one very minor thing, our bedroom door had a very loud squeak. Having to go downstairs to the toilet during the night we had to open the door very quick so as not to wake others. The owner of the house was very nice, even messaged us when we arrived. We would definitely stay again. Great.

“We enjoyed our stay but thought it would benefit from a few things 1 A good light to read by in the living area.”

2 A bath mat in the top ensuite as the bath could be slippery when showering. 3 A better WiFi connection as four nights out of our stay we could not use catch up on the smart TV as it kept stopping and repeating itself. Other than that every thing else was great and it is in a very good location for exploring York. Would happily return.

You literally are right in the centre of York, we never once used the car. The house is comfortable, very quiet and an ideal base to explore the many attractions that York has to offer. We really enjoyed our evening walks, in the beautiful city of York.
