“A lovely characterful cottage providing accommodation to a very high standard, perfectly maintained and scrupulously clean.”

The owners seem to have thought of everything, from a welcome pack of cake, chocolates, tea, coffee and milk, through to extra birdseed for our feathered friends using the feeders outside the kitchen window. The owners seem to have thought of everything, from a welcome pack of cake, chocolates, tea, coffee and milk, through to extra birdseed for our feathered friends using the feeders outside the kitchen window. Beck Cottage has a great location, only a short level walk to the pubs, restaurants and shops in Pickering, and with the added bonus of a great view of the steam trains running into and out of the station. During our week we managed to squeeze in two days out on the railway, visits to Helmsley, Whitby, Thornton-le-Dale and Scarborough, and took in a Pickering FC home game. There's so much to do and see in the area that a week is never enough. We were sad when it was time to leave Beck Cottage and would gladly return anytime.
