Settled in the historic market town of Pickering, North Yorkshire, is this superb three-bedroom terraced cottage, Ducky's.

Ideally located just moments away from the local amenities, and within easy reach of the North York Moors National Park, Ducky's is a fantastic pet-friendly choice for couples or a family of four.

Look forward to cooking up a storm in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen, featuring a full size dishwasher and washer/dryer, ready to savour at the dining table or alfresco out in the rear garden.

The garden also features lockable bike storage.

After dinner, kick-back and relax on the plush seating in front of your favourite show on the TV, as your pooches curl up beside the crackling woodburning stove.

Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you can wash away the day with a soak in the bath or freshen up under the overhead shower, before retiring to one of three well-presented bedrooms, a king-size and two singles, all with plenty of storage for your belongings.

Explore your surroundings, where you can refuel at the end of the day at the renowned real ale pub, The Sun.

There is also Figaro's Italian Restaurant, Willowgate Bistro, or pick up essentials from the convenience store.

Within the town, you can visit the remarkable Pickering Castle with exceptional views, delve into history at the Beck Isle Museum, or hop aboard the North York Moors Steam Railway for scenic rides through the National Park or to Whitby, some of which locations you may recognise from Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.

There are a plethora of walks and cycling trails available from your new home, including the renowned Cleavland Way.

Continue onto Helmlsey, home to its own impressive castle and near to the fascinating sites of Rievaulx Abbey and the National Trust site of Rievaulx Terrace.

Further afield, you’ll find Scarborough, well-known for it’s beautiful beaches, castle, open air theatre and theme parks of Alpamare and Luna Park.

This historic market town, with its full range of amenities and traditional shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, serves as the official gateway to the beautiful North York Moors National Park, home of the Heartbeat countryside. Enjoy a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, where Harry Potter fans can even explore some of the locations used in the filming of The Philosopher’s Stone! The Beck Isle Museum is also well worth a visit, with its unique collection of black and white photography and displays of rural life. Walkers will be spoilt for choice by the rolling hills, valleys, rivers and abundant wildlife of the North York Moors, whilst the city of York and the Heritage Coast are just half an hour’s drive away. All in all, a wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday.
