It took 4 hours and quite a bit of research. Unfortunately due to family emergency some of the family were not able to enjoy as we had to return after first night. We had expected it to be filled and heated and to be able to use it the first night but this was not the case.
House was not as clean as reviews suggested (hair in shower/rubbish under sofa).
Not walkable to pub - should make this clear.
Also toilet roll left on day 1 not sufficient if we had all stayed the 4 nights. We think the ...

Good evening Mr Walker, I am saddened to read your review. Firstly, we had not been asked by Sykes to fill & heat the hot tub for your arrival, however, had you called me on the number provided I would have immediately rectified this either by refund or filling the hot tub. Regarding the cleanliness, I apologise if you found anything but we have never had a poor review regarding cleanliness & are only ever complimented on it, again had you called I would have rectified this. When booking you can check the location & find out distance to local pubs etc. on the advertising it states the pub is 2.5 miles away, that may or may not be within walking distance for you but it is clearly stated. Finally, you are provided with 1 toilet roll in each bathroom to get you started, after that it is up to you as we are self catering & regarding letting ourselves in to replenish I can guarantee you this DID NOT happen. I have never let myself into a guests accommodation without their prior agreement!!!
It has taken you nearly 2 weeks to write a review despite you stating how poor everything was & at no point did you make contact with me albeit my number being largely displayed in the cottage & asking you to contact me should you need anything. I stand by my service & my beautiful cottage.
