    The kitchen is well equipped with more than enough items for dining in. The house is decorated and furnished in an eclectic style and the location is great for walking, sightseeing and shopping. The owner provided comprehensive information for using the equipment and good local knowledge for places to visit etc. we particularly appreciated the amount of items in the welcome pack, bread, milk, butter, biscuits, donuts, drinks, fizz, beers, even sweets and Easter eggs for the kids. The property

Highview is a spacious seafront holiday home resting in the coastal town of Scarborough and within easy reach of the North York Moors National Park. This wonderful retreat is the perfect family base to celebrate a special occasion or for a traditional coastal getaway to this stunning region of Yorkshire. Take the opportunity to visit York, Leeds, Whitby, Beverly and other cities, towns and villages in the region. The striking blue exterior is a wonderful contrast to the period and characterful features that await you inside, as well as carefully selected furnishings and everything you could possibly need to enjoy a week-long break. Be welcomed into the formal dining room, where seating for up to 12 guests sits in front of the bay window, offering far-reaching views of the surroundings to enjoy as you tuck into your meals. Prepare such meals within the well-equipped kitchen, which is spacious enough for a couple of budding chefs to whip up home-cooked meals for the entire family, along with a dishwasher and washing machine for easy clean ups. Venture up the staircase to relax in the sitting room, where you can tune into the TV or get lost in a book to pass the time during a rainy evening. Alternatively, if you seek a moment's peace and quiet away from the rest of the group, head to the second floor where a lovely snug room awaits with a small collection of books, TV and seating. As the evening draws to a close, be spoiled for choice by the sleeping accommodation that awaits you with five bedrooms situated across the three top floors to choose from.

Designed to ensure a flexible sleeping arrangement for up to twelve people. During a balmy morning, you and your loved ones can look forward to soaking up the sunshine on the patio area or catch the final glimpses of sunshine with a glass of wine. Scarborough comes with everything you could possibly need, including a selection of shops for picking up the essentials, as well as several eateries to suit all tastes, whether it be fish and chip shops, fine dining seafood or traditional pub grub! During the summer months, head down to the beaches of North Bay and South Bay to soak up the sun or try your hand at boating in Peasholm Park. For the more adventurous there is Surfing and Kayaking in the local area. There are established hikes for all levels of walkers. If you are visiting with younger guests, they will be delighted to make a splash at the Alpamare Waterpark and the Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuary. Highview promises a refreshing getaway for the whole family to enjoy this coastal part of Yorkshire.

Popular since Victorian times, the vibrant seaside town of Scarborough retains many of its original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its historic castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two superb stretches of beautiful, golden sandy beaches, popular with families and small children. There are a number of child friendly activities and many excellent visitor attractions for grown-ups too, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music. Scarborough is a great location for outdoor activities, with golf courses, lovely coastal walks along the Cleveland Way, stunning cycle routes such as the old railway to Whitby, beautiful sailing and championship quality surfing.
