Probably the cleanest holiday cottage we have stayed in, spotless and such a welcoming place from the moment we opened the door with a lovely welcome pack on your arrival. Our time passed so quickly, it was sad to leave at the end of the week. #2 Crosslands is located in such a lovely location, open fields all around and many places of interest nearby with easy access to York, by local bus or nearby Park & Ride as a good way to go exploring the walks and museums/attractions around the city. What is there not to like about staying here, thank you. Oh and let's not forget Bert, we had called him Claude but then discovered his real name, often watching from his grazing area next door, along with the rabbits, hares, deer and many other animals / birds we had visit us. Oh and the dawn chorus sunrise first thing is a joy if you like going for the early morning walk at this time of year.
