    Well maintained, clean and welcoming, warm and comfortable, well appointed. Great location. Ideal for exploring York and the surrounding areas. Five minute drive to park and ride. We would fully recommend this property. We hope to return next year !

This quaint village sits in between the world-renowned Yorkshire Dales National Park and the spectacular city of York, with the east coast just over 30 miles away, this is a perfect location for a holiday of any kind. Stockton-on-the-Forest offers a popular pub serving food and a convenience store, there is also the Forest Park Golf Course. Just four miles away is the magnificent city of York, dominated by a series of striking buildings, a myriad of quirky shops, inns and cafés, as well as something to keep everybody busy including the Jorvik Viking Centre, the York Minster and the National Railway Museum. A short journey north takes you to the Howardian Hills AONB which adjoins the Yorkshire Dales, a haven for ramblers and cyclists.
