Mr Wadsworth
A lovely property with great facilities, we especially enjoyed the tennis court and pool. Only down sides were as our stay was during a heatwave it was so hot we had to have all doors and windows open to try and cool it down. As a result, we were inundated with flies as it is on a working farm. Also, the floor boards upstairs are extremely noisy and if you are sleeping in one of the downstairs rooms it is very load when anybody moves upstairs. Otherwise, a lovely stay and a lovely location.
Miss Deavall
Superb place to stay. Beautiful accommodation with everything you need. Excellent facilities and super safe for children to play. Recommend.
Mrs Park
An excellent place to stay. Clean, modern, quality fixtures and fittings. Best size pool we’ve had in a holiday let in this country . Welcome pack on arrival. This is a working farm and there were some flies but fly paper and spray coped with this very slight annoyance. Would definitely stay here again.
Mr Toth
This is the best property we have rented over the last 40 years. The comfort, cleanliness and the whole setting are fantastic. The old barn could be suitable for wheelchairs if there were ramps to go over the two steps outside. We really enjoyed our stay and wish to thank the housekeeper for her perfect management of the whole place.
Mrs Harrington
Had an amazing time ! Everything was perfect !
Ms butler
A very relaxing holiday home with excellent facilities. We really enjoyed the pool which is a good length for an indoor pool. Cleaning products left for our use in the kitchen and bathrooms were very much appreciated and we especially enjoyed the Prosecco and chocolates. We will definitely be returning.
Mrs Tatum
The old barn has everything a family could ever need or want. Beautiful location it’s rural and peaceful, though as a working farm, there will be some noise from sheep and tractors, but that didn’t bother us at all. The swimming pool was a gift for the teenagers (15 to 18 y.o.). They loved it and made a pleasant change not seeing them head down looking at their mobile phones. 3 things to note, internet connection is going to be weak at times with poor signal/reception so factor that in, the location is rural so no popping to the shop for a loaf of bread or milk (though it was a lovely surprise to receive welcome eggs, milk, box of chocs and Prosecco). Lastly, as a farm, there are more flies that you would see normally which was a pity as we had good weather and it made me think twice about opening windows and french doors. Overall though, would I go back? 100% yes. Beautiful old barn we had a relaxing week reading, playing board games or spending the evening just talking to one another. During the day off to places such as Whitby, York and Filey etc. lovely!
Mrs Mais
Fantastic holiday home. Really well equipt and comfortable with superb facilities. Location is remote so there's no popping out for milk but it's very peaceful.
Mrs ward

Mrs Joyce
We cannot fault the property. It was a fantastic place to stay. We asked for help with a few things by email and by phone in the run up to our stay and didn’t receive any response from yourselves which is not acceptable.
Mrs Gordon
We would just like to say how amazing The Old Barn was, although we forgot to write in the visitor book! The place was immaculate and had absolutely everything in it that we needed. We will certainly be returning, and will highly recommend to our friends and family!

The Smiths - Denmark
We stayed at The Old Barn after being let down by the collapse of Monarch. The group consisted of two families totalling 6 people and were looking for all the things we would have had whilst on our original booked holiday - the feeling of luxury and, very importantly, a pool. This holiday had it all. It was superb. On arriving we were greeted with a welcome basket of different items of local groceries. The Old Barn was extremely clean and tidy and had everything we would need; if were intending to cook....NOT!...we were on our hols. We still talk now of how lucky we were to find this as a last minute holiday and are intending to return. All cottages are beautiful and all different. Would be a fabulous place for a large family get together. A great holiday!!!
The Brannens and Cawtes families

William Oules - aged 4, part of the Oules Party
Another fabulous weekend in this amazing house - so welcoming and the facilities are just perfect.
Alison, Rob, Lynda, Sue, Dave, Margaret, Wendy and Rob
Our stay at The Old Barn was perfect - plenty of space for our extended family. The children absolutely loved the swimming pool which is a real bonus. All of the facilities are to such a high standard. There is also plenty to do locally without driving too far - from the beach at Filey to fish and chips in Whitby. The hamper on arrival is one of the best we have ever had when staying in cottages. Thank you.
