“Destiny Rose was perfect for our party, 4 Adults and a dog.”

Lots of space, really comfy beds and everything we could possibly want or need in the kitchen. Even the dining chairs were comfy, we sat at the table and played games one night, it was great fun. The free parking for 2 cars is a bonus. It’s a fair walk to the centre of Whitby, but we liked that. A very enjoyable stay.

Heading straight through to the dining room, with seating for six, antique furniture with a selection of books, games and DVDs, this is the perfect place to gather for meals together, or to just sit quietly in a chair and enjoy a good book.

The contemporary country-style kitchen is beautifully styled with a stunning wooden beamed ceiling and exposed wooden flooring, with all the appliances and amenities you could wish for during your stay, even a wide range if specialty teas which can be enjoyed at the small breakfast bar with seating for two.

A ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower is a great way to prepare for each day and a convenient utility room with useful dog flap into the enclosed courtyard, completes the layout of this floor of the property.

Upstairs, you will find three spacious bedrooms, two super-kings, one with wooden flooring and one with grey carpet, both with large windows allowing in plenty of light and lots of storage space, while the third single with trundle bedroom is ideal for younger guests, complete with storage and a bedside table with lamp for a spot of reading before bedtime.

The large white family bathroom suite with grey tiled flooring is spacious and bright, with a bath and shower over, so you can choose between a relaxing soak and a quick rinse to prepare for the day.

Whitby Beach is the main attraction in the summer, with its striking and colourful beach huts lining the sand and two lighthouses stood at either side of the harbour, perfect for a day of laying on the sand or taking a dip in the sea, or just for a stroll along the coast.

Further afield, you can venture along the coast in either direction and find beaches, coastal resorts and plenty of things to do; Scarborough and Filey are south of Whitby, both known for their sandy beaches, with Scarborough Castle and Peasholm Park the must-visit attractions.

The post-industrial town of Middlesbrough is to the north, with an art gallery and museum, as well as great shopping and a range of eateries, bars and pubs.
