What guests are saying
Was a little concerned once we had booked this cottage having then read the reviews.
We contacted Sykes Holidays about the television and requested the owner either repaired the television or purchased a new one. A new one had been purchased for our stay which was great. In terms of the cleaning, I cannot fault the kitchen - oven, fridge freezer, fridge and the bathroom however when we moved the sofas to check we had not left anything when vacating, there was an awful lot of dirt, a dried piece of banana and someone's homework underneath them! This is a shame as it only takes a few seconds to pull them out and hoover underneath them. The property was very warm and heating was perfect and new. We were pleased to have a dishwasher and washing machine and tumble drier as this was not advertised as features within the property. Beds were SUPER comfy and linen excellent. Showers were extremely powerful and plenty of hot water. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but location was lovely, so we didn't worry too much.
Lovely place to stay right in the centre of everything.
Could do with a little tlc. The gate had a fork to open and close it. The chairs by table all need tightening up. The TV screen has gone so colour isn't right. But that's really all would recommend it to others.
The place was unclean when we arrived - there was paper snd rubbish left underneath the cupboards, the shower hose has a hole in it- sprayed everywhere - cobwebs in every corner of the room and the floor was sticky and dirty - the back door didn’t have a latch on it - overall 4/10 won’t be coming again.
I know it’s a rental but the place needs some TLC
