This is a lovely property, tastefully furnished, with the advantage of a fabulous hot tub, outside space and private parking in a superb location in Whitby. A lovely period property, an ideal holiday property for all the family or for a group of friends with the advantage of outside space with a wonderful hot tub - perfect to relax in under the stars after a long walk or a day on the beach - plus a gas BBQ and private parking. This spacious house is within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, beach and harbour of Whitby.

The location was fantastic and encouraged us to walk into town each day

The location was peaceful. The hot tub meant our evenings were relaxed before sitting down to chill out and watch TV. The hot tub was clean. Everything had been thought of that could be needed which made the stay feel home from home. Cooking was a pleasure as the kitchen was brilliant therefore we could be together and enjoy the cooking. We have spent many holidays in Whitby and have stayed in various accommodations but this was certainly the best.

Ground Floor
The house opens to a welcoming reception hall with coat stand, from which leads the sitting room and the good-size kitchen/diner.

The sitting room has an open fire, plus a TV/DVD, a book collection and a charming retro-style music centre with CD and record player - there's also a collection of vinyl records to enjoy. With comfortable seating, this is a perfect place to relax after a day's sightseeing and in the cooler months, why not light the fire and cosy up?

The smart kitchen is well-equipped and spacious with a large range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, fridge/freezer and TV. There is also a lovely dining area with doors leading to the rear.

The ground floor also has a shower room off the kitchen - perfect for when you come off Whitby's sandy beach - with shower, WC and hand wash basin.
First Floor
One the first floor are three bedroom; there is a large master bedroom with king size bed, TV, wardrobe and dressing table, plus an en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, WC and hand wash basin.

There is second double bedroom with a brass bed and TV and a twin bedroom, with two full size single beds, decorated with accents of duck egg blue.

The house bathroom is stylish with a wonderful, deep, free-standing bath with shower attachment, WC and hand wash basin.
Double doors that lead to the courtyard garden which has a wonderful hot tub and BBQ.

Lovely cottage in a really great location. The cottage was really spacious and very well equipped. Really nice large rooms throughout equipped with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was great and got a lot of use. In terms of location it is great as out of town but a comfortable walk into the centre so great for access to local shops, bars and restaurants. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely go back.
Mr Bodley
Great cottage, great location. Very clean and well presented. We would revisit.
Mrs Henderson
The cottage was amazing, it was extremely well equipped, very comfortable and a great location.
Mrs Minors
Generally all was fine, but the back garden/yard was considerably smaller than I expected. You can BBQ, but there’s no room to eat outside. However, the hot tub was very welcome to come back to after a long walk.
Mr Snare
A very good week in Linskill Cottage that was located well for exploring both Whitby and the surrounding areas along the East Coast. Comfortable beds and house was large enough to accommodate our family of 4. The hot tub was a lovely addition after being out daily to unwind in the evening and destress. There were a few cobwebs in the kitchen area that were a little disappointing to find but all in all the cleanliness of the house for its size was reasonable. We would definitely return as we enjoyed our week at the property.

It shoud be pointed out that the property is not suitable for those with walking difficulties/mobility issues unless they are prepared to drive or get a taxi. The property is a 15 minute walk downhill to the bridge across the river, I could never have walked back up, it was a case of drive or have a taxi. Available parking in Whitby is a longish walk from the main areas.
Mrs Hill
2 out of the three bedrooms are very small and there is only a wardrobe in the master bedroom so if accommodation was shared by 3 couples would be very cramped - especially the third bedroom as the door doesn't even open properly as is blocked by the bed.
Mrs Rimington
Loverly house great location would definitely stay again
Mrs Chapman
Really great holiday and lovely house. Only downside we had was being unable to use the hot tub for 3 days due to unserviceability. This was one of the main selling points of the house when booked for our grandchildren. I understand how/when items break but when the gentleman arrived to fix the day after reporting he stated that he thought this should have been sorted by now as he had been out several times!
Mr Johnston
Had a lovely break, beds very comfortable, nice quiet location but also close to everything.
Mrs Butcher
Overall nice property but several things need attention to make this a 5 star property as listed. Firstly the door to the main bathroom doesn't close at all as it is warped, downstairs bathroom doesn't lock, paint/arcetrave peeling off wall directly about bed in main bedroom, ensuite toilet cistern sticks on intermittently. Cleanliness in ensuite could be better, walls dirty and grout mouldy. Only 3 normal sized glass tumblers in kitchen, which don't match . Disappointed no welcome pack as advertised, reason is stated as due to covid but not sure how this is relevant since items are wrapped and shop bought?! Positives were hot tub which looked very new and was great, also good location. If the above issues were addressed we'd stay again but as it currently stands we wouldn't unfortunately.
Mrs Holmes
The cottage was very nice. We were disappointed that the racks on the barbeque were left dirty and the bins were full from the previous visitors. Also we did ring and query the hot tub as it looked very murky and scumy. We were told someone local would call but they didn't and we were not happy to use it. The hot tub was one of the reasons for booking that particular property so we were not pleased. Visitors should be made aware of the last time the water was tested so that they can be confident it is safe to use.
Mr Grewcock
All highly satisfactory and will book again! Good information available within the guest folder at the property.
Curley Party
The welcome pack is very thoughtful, very generous and was greatly appreciated by us all! Cottage is spacious and comfortable and is in walking distance of lots of local amenities. The children particularly loved Pannetts Park, less than 5 minutes' walk away. Private, off road parking is a fantastic bonus in Whitby! This is our 5th Easter break in Whitby and we will definitely be back next year, all being well!
Hewitt Party
We arrived for our honeymoon early December and were immediately impressed with Linskill Cottage. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the office staff and enjoyed receiving a goodie bag full of local treats. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Linskill Cottage has excellent facilities beyond what you'd expect from a holiday cottage, which all made our stay extra special.
The Richards
Excellent stay for our honeymoon. Thank you.
Richards Party
We always have an excellent cottage when we book with Yorkshire Coastal Cottages - each one different but with its own unique charm.
Black Party
Fantastic location - a haven of tranquility inside, yet only 10 yards from the hustle and bustle of the main street.
Proctor Party
Overall everything was wonderful and we had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect.
Moore Party
We had a brilliant time in Whitby as always. First time in Linskill Cottage but defnitely not the last. The GNMR to Goathland was a great day out and kids loved crabbing in the harbour. Can't wait to return next year!
McLaren Party
We had a great family holiday. Stunning house in a fabulous location, very lucky with the weather and sad to be going home.
The Priestley Family
