A pretty, mid-terrace cottage, sitting in the desirable seaside town of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Private gardens and parking for 2 cars. Open-plan living, outdoor space with all utilities, linen, towels and a welcome hamper included. Encompassed by the North York Moors with Robin Hood's Bay just 5.7 miles away Morse Cottage is an ideal base for any holiday maker. .

It’s in a great location, incredibly clean and there were some free chocolates and Cava when we arrived which was a great little surprise! Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in Whitby.

A holiday home by the sea, Morse Cottage is an idyllic mid-terrace dwelling to base a relaxing escape with loved ones in Yorkshire. Set over three floors, this property is wonderfully suited to friends or families looking to be at the centre of the excitement of Whitby, with an abundance of attractions on your doorstep with some rooms benefiting from Abbey views.

Guests can park up to 2 cars in front of the cottage then enter via a hallway into the open-plan living space where you will be encompassed by hues of blue and teal, reminding you of the seaside position of the cottage. Head into the kitchen which has been fitted to a high standard and comes with colourful units and sleek white worktops with all the necessary appliances for rustling up some home cooked meals. The impressive marble dining table offers an ideal area for everyone to gather, whether you're tucking into your freshly baked goods or enjoying a family-fun board game, it makes the perfect social spot. End your evenings by relaxing on one of the two blue sofas, with the television providing your entertainment for the evening as you wind down. Head up to the first and second floors to find the three sleeping spots, with a king-size on both floors, both with en-suite shower rooms, and a further twin on the first floor serviced by the family bathroom, these nautically themed rooms offer a snug spot to rest, ample storage space and crisp linens for all. A short stroll will bring you to the town centre where you can explore a wide range of attractions; take a stroll around Pannett Park before heading into the Whitby Museum to learn about the local history, or for a day out with a difference, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum is perfect for an adventure amongst the River Esk. Head to the beach for a day of sandcastle building and plenty of opportunities for watersports, or venture further afield to Robin Hood's Bay for a more tranquil waterside experience. Lovely cottage perfect location just a few minute walk out of Whitby with two car parking spaces

Even though your so close to town it was always quite. As for inside the cottage itself it was perfect, high quality furnishings had everything you could think of that you would need. As for kitchen equipment it had a lot more that most cottages we have visited to cook meals, we was never short of stuff to cook nice meals for 5 people! Would recommend this cottage highly would love to return.

Following the Covid 19 outbreak we would like to reassure all guests a thorough cleaning has been carried out at this property. As an additional measure we are adopting the use of fogging machines.
These machines comply with British Standards and are proven to be effective in killing the virus as well as other known germs




Some household products are provided to get guests started - toilet rolls, washing up liquid, kitchen paper, kitchen foil, cling film, dishwasher tablets, dish cloth, sponge, rubbish bags and some cleaning wipes/sprays. Guests will also be greeted with a welcome hamper.
For larger groups Morse Cottage may be booked with Columbo Cottage and/or Sherlock Cottage, which are neighbouring properties.

What an amazing property this is. It by far exceeded our expectations. we loved it. It was immaculate, the owners had thought of everything you could possibly need to enjoy your holiday. Even down to a coffee machine with pods. The location of it was perfect right in the heart of Whitby. We would love to return. What a gem this property is a home from home.
