About

Layout

The Nook, a cottage in Whitby, North Yorkshire, is perched on a hill overlooking the town's bustling streets. For a family and their canine companions, this delightful home has a family-friendly and pet-friendly layout with a lovely yard that is ideal for relaxing in the evenings. When you arrive at the cottage, walk the steps up into the courtyard and enter your new idyllic dwelling.

The kitchen offers a washing machine where you can wash your sand-covered clothes and beach towels before using the electric oven and gas burner to cook a delicious supper for your loved ones. Next, head to the living/dining area where you may have dinner together as a family and talk about the adventures that lie ahead while you sit on the sofa in front of the electric fireplace and enjoy the comforting heat. There is a bunk room on the ground floor that is suitable for both adults and children, as well as a double room with sleigh beds and an open and breezy décor when you're ready for some well-deserved shuteye, ensuring family-friendly sleeping arrangements. One of the two remaining bedrooms has an abundance of natural light and views of Whitby's rooftops through its Velux windows. In the morning, take a revitalising shower or indulgent bath in the bathroom before heading out to the courtyard to enjoy your coffee.

Make the most of your time at The Nook by exploring the surrounding region; Whitby Abbey, which stands over the town, is just a short distance away. In addition to the 199 Steps, which are a short distance from the home, you can spend a day on the golden sand beach or stop for some fish and chips before returning to the property to enjoy the spectacular views of the area. Just a short drive away, Scarborough offers another beautiful beach and an abundance of restaurants to keep you going.

The Scarborough Sea Life Centre, a magnificent aquarium that's fun for all ages, and the Rotunda Museum are two great options for history fans. For families with small children, Flamingo Land Resort is just a picturesque drive away and offers a wide variety of rides and activities to keep the kids entertained. With the North York Moors National Park just a short distance away, walkers and cyclists may explore some of Yorkshire's most magnificent landscapes while on this journey. Regardless of the weather, The Nook is an ideal location for a family-friendly getaway to North Yorkshire.
