The property

Birch Spa is a rustic timber lodge nestled in the peaceful countryside on Woodland Lakes Holiday Park near Thirsk, Yorkshire.

With its traditional interior and family-friendly layout, it offers a practical base for those travelling with children or pets.

An on-site car park with EV charging adds convenience for guests arriving by car.

Step inside and you’ll find a single-storey space designed for ease and togetherness.

Two bedrooms provide room to settle in: a twin, and a king-size with its own en-suite, complete with bath, shower over, basin, and WC.

A second bathroom, also with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC, and hairdryer, ensures there’s space for everyone to get ready.

For those who prefer a brisk start to the day, a separate shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC is also available.

The open-plan living area forms the heart of the lodge.

The sitting room is arranged around an electric oven, with a TV ready for film nights or catching up on a favourite series.

The kitchen, equipped with a ceramic hob, grill, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, and toaster, makes meal preparation straightforward.

The dining table offers a space to gather, whether for breakfast, board games, or planning the next outing.

Outside, the balcony invites you to take in the morning air, while the enclosed decking area offers a sheltered hot tub and picnic table, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the local area.

THIRSK

Northallerton 8.6 miles; North York Moors National Park 5 miles; York 23.7 miles.

With the gateway to the North York Moors National Park to the east and Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west, the bustling town of Thirsk boasts a quaint market place, splendid Georgian buildings, and a Norman church. Here there are a selection of excellent pubs, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre, as well as independent stores to be browsed at your leisure. Visit the World of James Herriott Museum, dedicated to the life and works of the town’s own famous vet and author or explore the surrounding rolling countryside and Hambleton Hills, offering excellent walking and cycling opportunities. The town is home to the Yorkshire Vet, All Creatures Great and Small, and Thirsk Races, and there are an abundance of local walks throughout the local area, including those at Osmotherly, the Cleveland Way, and Sutton Bank. Cycling within this location is catered for with mountain biking trails and road cycling trails at Sutton Bank's Cycling Centre, Dalby Forest, and Tour de France routes, and there are further walks and cycling routes along the picturesque coast of North Yorkshire, as well as delightful locations including Whitby, Robin Hood Bay, and Staithes.
