“This was our first stay in this particular holiday let but not our first visit to the caravan site it is situated on, so we knew what to expect, ie a car is required to explore the area, and the site itself has limited amenities.”

The caravan itself was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The place would benefit from some fans for the Summer months, as we visited during a very hot spell (luckily we'd checked ahead and brought our own). The caravan itself was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The place would benefit from some fans for the Summer months, as we visited during a very hot spell (luckily we'd checked ahead and brought our own). The biggest disappointment was the hot tub, which for the first four nights of our six night stay we barely used to it being quite dirty. We later found out that they had been awaiting a new filter which was installed whilst we were out on the fifth day of our visit, and what a difference that made! We actually persuaded my 78 year old Mum to venture in, whereas prior to it having this maintenance, she had flatly refused to do so. Such a shame as this was something we had all been looking forward to! Another lowlight was some grumpy old man, unsure whether a resident or guest (the park is largely residential) who came barreling down to us one evening to ask in no uncertain terms for us to stop our dog from barking. In fact our dog had been fast asleep and the barking was coming from another unit. Rude! May seem like a minor incident but it upset us considerably at the time, not what you want or expect on holiday! Whilst there are some lovely places to visit in the area, such as Filey, Scarborough and Whitby, it's unlikely we would return to this accommodation or any other on the Snooty Fox caravan site.
