    “Have recently returned from our holiday in Hares Hill Lodge at Allerston.”

    The property was warm and comfortable and the facilities were first class, with even dog treats and bedding provided, although that wasn’t used as we always take a crate for our dog and for which there was ample space. We cannot give any feedback on the cooking facilities as we ate out each day and only having limited meals at the lodge. The owners Scott and Nicole could not do enough to make any stay pleasant and a well stocked welcome pack was a nice bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ...

The beautiful village of Thornton-le-Dale lies just two miles to the east of Pickering within The North York Moors National Park and the Dalby Forest. This is an idyllic location at the head of a beautiful valley and is a walkers, bikers and nature lovers paradise. Scarborough and Whitby are 13 and 20 miles away and offer all the amenities and facilities of two of the country's best coastal resorts. York and Castle Howard are about an hours drive away and offer all the history and culture that any holiday would need.
