Albany House is an elegant Georgian semi-detached town house arranged on upper ground, first and second floors, with gravelled private forecourt garden and private parking to the rear. The house is located on the junction of Silver Street and The Paddock, although entering the postcode – YO21 3BX – into your SatNav may direct you to Wellington Terrace, a little further up Silver Street!
The house is within a short walk of the many attractions of the town, including the harbour, the town centre and the beach at West Cliff.
Please park in the dedicated space to the rear of the house. There is room for two medium sized cars in tandem – just about! If two families are sharing the property, and both have large estate cars, it may be better to leave one car on the unrestricted parking areas on the streets near West Cliff.
This is a Georgian town house, and sadly, cannot be adapted to provide easy disabled access. There are six steps up to the front door, and it is arranged over three floors.
The front door opens to an entrance vestibule giving access to an elegant reception hall, off which are the drawing room, dining kitchen and small utility room.
An elegant room with two three seater settees, two arm chairs and window seats, together with coffee table, console table and bookcase. The book case contains a collection of novels, autobiographies etc, a collection of DVD’s and various board games and jigsaw puzzles. The entertainment centre includes a 42in plasma TV, DVD and VCR player.
Kitchen & Dining Room
The kitchen is fully equipped with 5-ring range cooker, fridge, freezer, dish washer, kettle, microwave oven, toaster etc. There are ample granite work surfaces and crockery and cooking utensils for 8, who can comfortably be seated around the farmhouse table on fitted benches and upholstered chairs. There is also a flat screen TV with remote control.
The small utility room contains an automatic washing machine and condensing tumble drier, with a further supply of light bulbs and toilet rolls. The room also contains the ironing board, iron and vacuum cleaner. The room also houses the central heating boiler. The heating comes on twice a day, but can be adjusted to your requirements, with hot water constantly available. The thermostat for the central heating is located on the hall wall adjacent to the utility room.

A lovely room with twin brass single beds, bedside cabinet and armoire. Dormer window offering superb harbour and abbey views, and second window to the side.
Let as a single room, but with chrome standard double bed, elegant dressing table with mirror and wardrobe. Velux to front and window to side.

This is approached over a steep fixed ladder style staircase ( younger children must be supervised when entering or leaving). The den contains a number of beanbag seats, TV with Wii console and a collection of toys and games.
Each bedroom is supplied with a hair drier, towels and quality linen and duvets.
