“Overall very good but period 1920's house in need of some TLC.”

Peeling paint work in kitchen and outside. Whole property would benefit from a major repainting. The general standard of equipment and décor was not up to our expectations.- acceptable though it was improvements could be made. Most of the cooking utensils were well worn and some ovenware so bad you wouldn't want to use them for cooking. Could do with a major replacement of items. There was no corkscrew or bottle opener provided! Parking for 3-4 cars but ONLY in a line and so narrow ...

Parking for 3-4 cars but ONLY in a line and so narrow you have difficulty getting out. Swapping cars round very much a nuisance & no mention of this in your blurb and I feel there should be. Only one set of house keys for a property where there could be up to 14 people staying. Mentioned to on-site manager who did say he would have extra sets cut. The property had a Vertuo coffee machine rather than a standard Nespresso machine. It turned out that it was not a common standard machine but a Vertuo version and consequently we had brought the wrong capsules and only one, single complimentary Vertuo capsule was provided. This should be made clear in your marketing. Main bedroom en suite fan was on permanently which affects sleeping. The main bedroom en-suite fan ran continuously, which affected sleeping. Disgusting cobwebs & hundreds of hover flies in back porch. Not the fault of the property owners, but we were simply amazed that Scarbro' council offered NO RECYCLING at the property which is absolutely dreadful! The lack of recycling facilities was disappointing. I also feel that this one fact could have made me not book the property in the first place. Others may feel as strongly as I do and mention of this should be made in your marketing. Hot tub & games room were excellent but the cinema room above was so hot it couldn't be used TV's are pre smart & need upgrading to allow more than just Freeview & no HD. Most of the above comments are relatively minor and were liveable with but would make a huge difference to future holiday makers. With its proximity to seaside facilities and closeness to Whitby & the NY Moors, a very enjoyable holiday was had by us all.
