We enjoyed our stay at Arbour Retreat, it had everything we needed, it was so comfortable.

It is a lovely bungalow in a quiet residential area yet within easy reach of the town centre, beach and country park. The property is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, well maintained and equipped. This was our 4th visit here and we intend to return.

Had a fab stay at Arbour retreat, didn't want to leave clean, comfortable and cosy ideal base to get out and about.

Lovely stroll into town lots of good restaurants and shops. Loved it.

Arbour Retreat was honestly the cleanest and most well presented holiday house we have stayed in.

It was immaculate. Sharon was so helpful via text. The location is excellent. Short distance to the beach. Beautiful coastal walks nearby. Lovely quite estate which was perfect for us. Lovely little garden for our son and the dog - not overlooked due to all bungalows and sunny in the early evening. Filey is a lovely town and highly recommend Ingrams chippy. The 5 star reviews for this property are all true!

A consistently excellent property.

This was our 4th annual visit which indicates our satisfaction. It is a cosy, warm bungalow with a thoughtful owner. Our little dog enjoyed exploring the many ginnels in the locality as well as through Parish Woods and beyond. The garden is fully enclosed and the patio set was in a perfect position to benefit from the sun.

We arrived at Arbour Retreat on a cold wet day.

As soon as we opened the door the warmth was a grateful welcome. The property was immaculate, spotlessly clean and sheer quality throughout. The welcome pack was gratefully received. Tilly the Bichon was delighted too. Arbour Retreat is on a well maintained and peaceful estate. Just minutes from the beach and all amenities. Excellent communication from the owner . Thank you.

Absolutely stunning place to stay love it

The modern well equipped accommodation was to a very high standard throughout, meeting our needs perfectly and ensured we had an enjoyable week.

The provision of Christmas decoration was a thoughtful addition which was greatly appreciated.

Arbour Retreat is first class.

Exceptionally clean and very well equipped, it is ideally situated for a break in Filey. We found the accommodation very comfortable and the secure garden is very private and ideal for dogs. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this holiday bungalow.

Arbour Retreat is our favoured cottage.

Just walking in gives you a warm & cosy feeling & you instantly feel right at home with all the home comforts it has. This is the perfect retreat for relaxing on this very quiet & well kept up estate. Lots of fabulous walks right on your doorstep & such friendly Yorkshire folk about makes it so perfect. Sharon is a wonderful host making sure you have what you need & more to make your stay just great. This is not our 1st visit & it will not be our last. We love it there.

Our stay at Arbour Retreat was like a home from home.

So clean and comfortable with everything we could need for a lovely stay. Could totally recommend Arbour Retreat to everyone looking for a holiday in Filey.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and our little Westie dog loved the safe and secure garden.

It is very important to us that the garden is dog proof as our little dog thinks she is Houdini! The bungalow is immaculate and there is everything you need for a holiday stay. It’s like a home from home. Not too far away from the town centre where there are some enjoyable eateries. We were very lucky with the weather too. We have already booked for next year!

Just right for walking the Dog onto the Country Park and a nice walk into Town. Sun in rear Garden at this time of year.

Property was well maintained and very clean, location with walking distance to Filey and through the parish woods to the headland was also good.

Our 4th visit to Armour Retreat and it just seems to get better.

Lovely bungalow with all the amenities you could ever need set on lovely quiet estate. Filey about a mile away, either a short drive or a steady walk. We are coming back in 4 weeks time for some more comfort. Can't fault it.

Highly recommend this property.

This was our third visit and we have already booked for next year which says it all! The bungalow has a dog friendly enclosed garden and is ideally situated for walks through a nearby wood, beyond which there are paths towards the Country Park and Cleveland Way. The owner is extremely helpful sending useful information in advance, letting us know we could arrive early and then checking the first evening that everything was to our satisfaction. A welcome back card was a nice touch, as were the chocolates.

Arbour Retreat was spotless and very well equipped.

All instructions were clear and accurate and the bungalow was very comfortable. A short walk through the woods and over the fields took you to the cliff tops with fantastic views (even in February) or less than a five minute drive took you to the country park car park where you can access the beach. Great location and great accommodation. We have already booked for the same time next year.

Absolutely ace had everything apart from bath water not getting warm which my Mrs loves a bath apart from that fantastic stay we just booked again for next Christmas xxxx

We loved our week at Arbour Retreat, felt right at home on entering this warm & cosy cottage.

Our dog also settled in very quickly. Thank you for the welcome pack - coffee, tea, milk, chocolates & dog biscuit treats, washing up & bathroom goods - much appreciated. Plenty of room for us & her (she sleeps in a crate). Very comfy double bed, pillows a bit soft for me (my personal choice, so i always bring my own) Plenty crockery & cutlery. I loved having suitable cutlery for my use - as well as 'normal' cutlery there was also lighter, smaller, perfect for persons with arthritis. Fabulous walks right from the door step. The area of Filey is clean, vibrant & well looked after. We will be back. Thank you Sharon.

Lovely bungalow in immaculate condition and spotlessly clean.

Comfortable beds. Quiet and convenient location. Enjoyed the welcome chocolates. Comprehensive information guide emailed to us before arrival and there was also a hard copy in the information pack in the bungalow. Very helpful, caring and pleasant owner. Would be happy to return.

Fantastic stay at the Arbour retreat can not fault our stay.

I will definitely be back to stay in the very well equipped bungalow. We needed for nothing except our own food. What i thought very useful was to not have to rush to the shops to get tea and coffee and washing up liquid , cloths , soap it was a very nice touch to be able to have the basics already in the place. The lovely chocolate was a bonus and a very nice treat and the doggies biscuits to keep woody happy. The furnishings, beds are very comfortable and very clean . I met the cleaner and the owner on leaving as our pickup was late and both couldn't have been more accommodating and patient with us holding them up from getting it ready for the next visitors. Very understanding lovely people and I thankyou both for that. Used the taxis and they are very cheap, on time. Very pleasant drivers who helped out with my disabled mother and friends mobility. Any body who chooses to use the Arbour retreat will not be disappointed with their stay.

Just got home after a lovely week staying at Arbour Retreat in Filey.

The bungalow was perfect for our needs. It has everything you need, a real home from home holiday accommodation. Communication with Sharon was very good from beginning to end and in between when there was a burst water main in the area which was swiftly dealt with by Yorkshire Water as it was external in the area and they had to shut off the water to the properties in the area. Sharon immediately went to action and provided us with large bottles of water for drinking as well as a larger container filled with water for other uses! The water board did fix the issue swiftly and we didn't need the extra water but really appreciated how Sharon dealt with the issue that was completely out of her hands. The bungalow is very well maintained, very clean and comfortable. The location was very good for Filey and further exploration of the area, we had a wonderful week exploring Yorkshire. It is very welcoming to dogs too with treats for them as well as wonderful chocolate treats for us. I would highly recommend a stay at Arbour Retreat, it is a very clean, well equipped, nicely decorated and comfortable holiday home. The garden is nice and enclosed so great for the dog. Parking off road too is a bonus. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

The bungalow has been refurbished, furnished and equipped to a good standard, well above the average for holiday let's.

The property is so immaculate I could move in completely.

Sharon was super welcoming and appreciated the chocs made in my fave shop in Filey. Ideal for dogs too- a lovely enclosed little garden. Already booked again for next year as I think most guests go back again and again.

Having booked holidays with Sykes cottages for 20 years this is by far the best we have stayed in. We would definitely recommend to family and friends.

We needed somewhere to stay for a few weeks over Christmas and as soon as we walked into Arbour Retreat we knew we'd hit lucky.

The accomodation was immaculate with everything that we needed plus some lovely treats.The owner is so thoughtful and even left treats and books for our grandson. It was lovely having our weekly chat when she dropped clean linen and towels and anything else we needed. This was our first holiday to the Yorkshire coast and we could not have picked better accommodation.

The property (and welcome package!) was the best we have stayed in. Sharon forwarded by email a comprehensive list of Filey and the surrounding area together with places of interest and where to eat. Our car stayed on the drive the whole week as we used the frequent public transport. We have already booked Arbour Retreat for next September. Thank you Sharon for a wonderful and relaxing holiday.

We have stayed in a lot of cottages with Sykes and we can honestly say, that this one, is one of the best we have been to.

No wonder it is very popular and bookings go quickly, and have already booked for next year.

This was our second stay at Arbour Retreat with our dog Mylo.

The bungalow was spotlessly clean,cosy and comfortable.It has a lovely secure and secluded garden too. There are lots of nice shops just a five minutes drive from the bungalow including a Tesco supermarket.We found a takeaway called Scotts Hot Roasts that do hot roast dinners etc which we can recommend,they also provide a delivery service too. Thank you Sharon for another lovely stay and for the welcome pack,especially the chocolates. We hope to come back soon.

We had a lovely stay at Arbour Retreat.

The bungalow was very clean and well maintained. The property was fully stocked, kitchen utensils. pans, ironing board and fluffy towels. The owner had left teabags. coffee. milk and some local chocolates which was a really nice touch. The bungalow is approximately a 15 minute walk to the town centre and beach so great for car free days. Lovely walk to Filey Brigg County Park with great views along the coast. Lovely property and we would recommend a stay here.

A beautiful presented bungalow with a well maintained rear garden and a driveway which is a plus.

The owner contacted me the night of arrival to ensure everything was ok and a welcome pack was left which was appreciated . Everything in the property had been thought about even down to a towel to dry my dog.

Fabulous property which is comfortable and homely.

It has everything you could need and is very clean and well maintained. The location is lovely and quiet with great walks, the town centre and the beach all easily accessible. We just came home from the most amazing stay at Arbour Retreat.

Gorgeous house beautifully furnished in a perfect location. My 5 year old loved the enclosed garden and we struggled to get her out of the free standing bath!! Loved it so much we have booked for May and August already.

A very well equipped, clean and spacious cottage in a quiet location about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Filey and less than 5 minutes walk from bus stops for Scarborough and Bridlington.

There’s loads to do in the local area including a particularly good Treasure Trail and two town trails on the Love Exploring app. Our Filey Distillery tour was also very enjoyable. This was one of the very best Sykes cottages we’ve stayed in and we had a great week despite some dodgy weather.

The enclosed back garden was perfect for our terriers. We were however a little disappointed that there were not any cafes open. Perhaps we should have expected this for mid January, Local dog walks were limited to streets, however Filey country park and Brigg were nearby. Tesco was also nearby and handy for groceries. Overall excellent but perhaps not at this early in the year.

Arbour Retreat is the best holiday home we have stayed in.

Molly our greyhound loved the walks on the beach to Hunmanby and parish wood only a minute down the road, which takes you to the Cleveland Way and Country Park. Everything you need, and a lovely garden which is a sun trap. Not far to the town centre, with bakers and butcher's shop and Tesco's. Bull Inn at Gristhorpe allows dogs, good Sunday lunch and Molly had biscuits and drink of water. Have already booked again for next year. Thank you Sharon for texting us so that we could get in early.

My wife and I were really pleased with the decorative appearance of the property and the provision of furniture and kitchen equipment, all in very good condition and anything you could want.

Because of my medical condition dirt and dust are big no no’s but the property was spotless and warm. I’m lucky to live in a beautiful four bed bungalow but I could have happily lived at this address. Sharon the owner was readily available when texted and most obliging with advice and direction. A very enjoyable break.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable.

A 10 min walk to the town and sea front. Very quite area and easy to find. We had a problem on arrival due to a mix up in the provision of sheets/towels on the bank holiday weekend but after calling the contact for this property it was resolved quickly the same day.

Arbour Retreat was very clean and both the beds and the settee's were very comfortable , nice welcome pack of chocolates and different coffees to try , Owner texted us early to say the property had been cleaned and that we could get in earlier than stated time , much appreciated .

Property is located in a quite part of Filey approx 15minutes steady walk into town .Also handy for the bus service to Scarborough and Bridlington did not need to use car as good bus service. Would definitely stay again if coming to this area.

Lovely Easter break at Arbour Retreat!

Sharon was the perfect host and we all really appreciated the extras! The accommodation was exceptionally clean and tidy and we felt 100% comfortable. The location is very quiet and we found the local Parish Woods a lovely walk for Betty the dog! We even saw a deer! We will definitely stay again in the future!

An immaculate bungalow in a peaceful residential area within 15 mins walk to the centre of Filey.

The house was spotless, light and airey, and the beds and furnishings very comfortable. It was very easy to walk to the country park from the doorstep and bus stops for Brid or Scarborough are only 5 mins walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year. Thank you to Sharon for the welcome pack and delicious chocolates. Her communication prior to arrival with pertinent information was excellent.

It is unlikely that we will return for another holiday here as the letting cost has increased substantially to a point that it exceeds our budget.

The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen was of a high quality. The location was perfect for walking into Filey on an evening and also for exploring the coast by car. We had the benefit of some nice wether so were able to take advantage of the sunny dog secure garden. The property was perfect in every way.

We’ve had a great week in a fabulous holiday home, it’s bigger than it looks on the photos, was absolutely spotlessly clean ( not sure it could have been any cleaner ) , was so well equipped and in a great position. In fact it was everything and more , that you need for a week away . Loved all the information that Sharon sent us, specially all the dog friendly info. 20 minute walk to the beach but easier access to cliff top walks and country park via woodland paths.

Cosy and comfortable with modern furnishings and a small, suntrap of a garden, great for a sundowner or two. Quiet estate setting amongst similar properties. J & M

The Bungalow was ideal for 4 people, very clean & tidy and had all the amenities you could wish for. Excellent location on a lovely estate and ideal for trips out to Scarborough, Bridlington etc. The welcome pack was a lovely thought and we will definitely be back. A credit to the owner! 10/10

We stayed here for a short break and wasn't disappointed.

The property is on a quiet road and perfectly placed for Filey and the surrounding area. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, chocolates and dog treats were a lovely surprise. The enclosed garden is ideal for children and dogs. Highly recommend.
