East Newk Cottage

The house was spotlessly clean and felt lovely and homely.

The pictures do not do it justice. The location was perfect for lazy days relaxing around Flamborough, enjoying fresh air and coastal walks. Our dog didnt like the wooden stairs and needed carrying up and down. It was a nice touch having the crate in the hallway, with a towel for muddy paws We would definitely recommend this property and will book again if we visit the area

Everything one would need was there, beautiful place, very well situated to get to places.

Very clean and welcoming. Lovely welcome pack too. Even my little dog settled very quickly too. Will be looking to book again in the future.

We have just got back from our holiday at East Newk Cottage.

We felt at home in the cottage and our needs were met. Two bedrooms on the ground floor and one on the third floor, we chose the cottage because it also has two bathrooms. A nice size kitchen and dining area and a good size living room. There are some fabulous walks in the area and we often left the car at the cottage and walked to our destination. The road across from the cottage takes you to the cliffe top walk and a short distance along the main road and you are on the path to Danes Dyke, my favourite of many favourite views in Flamborough.

A beautiful cottage.

My sister and I had a fantastic midweek break at East Newk Cottage. It was the perfect layout for family or friends sharing but wanting their own privacy. Clean, comfortable and close to Flamborough and Bempton Cliffs for the seabirds and seals. Really helpful communication from the property owners too giving extra information to help us get the best out of our holiday. Would highly recommend East Newk Cottage!

Loved everything about this house - I'm so glad we chose it.

We enjoyed a week in Flamborough at the end of May and this house suited us perfectly. It was easy to find, using the instructions given and parking was perfect. The cottage is new so it is practical, clean and convenient. Everything is well laid out and immaculate. It has a large kitchen with dining area, and at the front there is a large living room that over looks fields with woodland beyond and the cliffs are easily within walking distance. The bedrooms are a decent size, a small wardrobe or some sort of hanging space would have been welcome in the master suite but it was very comfortable and a lovely room to be in. The roof windows are easy to open and close and a beautiful breeze coming off the sea cools that top storey bedroom down and makes it a real sanctuary. This is one of my favourite holiday cottages that I have ever stayed in.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, excellent location for walks along the cliffs either towards Danes dyke, Sewerby and Bridlington or towards south landing the lighthouse, north landing and thornwick bay.

Excellent facilities, clean comfortable and tasteful decor. Would highly recommend. Close to restaurants and local pubs .

Ideal cottage for two friends sharing, a floor each was a luxury!

The cottage had all mod cons and felt like a home from home. We were ideally placed to visit Flamborough Head, Bridlington, Danes Dyke and RSPB Bempton Cliffs. There is a short walk to the local pub where we had a fabulous meal. The Welcome Pack was very much appreciated. I would certainly return here.

This cottage is a 5* find, the photos don't do it justice it's so much bigger inside and really comfy and cosy, it's situation makes it easy to travel around and explore, we will definitely be visiting again.

Loved our stay, especially when it was at such short notice after being let down by another cottage in Flamborough.

Absolutely everything we needed was provided ! Nice and clean a lovely location and our dog loved it too.

Clean and tidy cottage, although there were afew issues, the double bed was so uncomfortable that my cousin slept in the single beds.

The sofas were both too low and also very uncomfortable, the blue one the cushions just slipped off as you sat on it. The livingroom also need a nest of tables, so you didn't have to get up and down from the coffee table. Some tongs in the kitchen draw would be great. Plus some plates and cups needed checking for chips

The cottage was dirty on arrival.

We had to start cleaning before we unpacked. Also I could not get phone signal, internet to let the owner know. We came home early then I contacted the owner to let her know about the issues

Lovely cosy cottage in an excellent location.

The decor is very tasteful and it was more spacious than expected with a great entrance hall with plenty of space for coats, boots etc. and a handy utility room. We also found it to be very well equipped. All in all everything we needed for a lovely week away and we would definitely return.

A proper home from home . Spotlessly clean with modern comfortable furnishings. A great homely base for the wonderful walks around Flamborough . A nice welcome pack and a good information folder with all the details of local restaurants and cafes etc . We have already recommended this property to family and friends and we would book to stay here again in the future. Perfect for our needs .

The cottage was beautiful.

Spotlessly clean and well maintained. It has everything you could need. The extras were a lovely touch - hand soap, tea, coffee, milk etc. the only issue we had was with the steps. we found them a bit slippy, quite worrying for anyone not very steady on their feet and my little dog couldn’t manage them at all so be prepared to carry your pooch up and down them. But it didn’t spoil our stay. We really enjoyed it.

The cottage was great situated in a lovely part of the country great walks great pubs great food great beaches all my experience with Sykes holiday cottage was wonderful can’t recommend Sykes holiday cottages.

Very comfortable and perfect for relaxing in after long days out. Had everything, and more! Very happy and will definitely recommend to friends. Thank you for everything.

Good accommodation, only minor things missing, hanging space in 2nd floor bedroom, a socket close to a mirror in 2nd floor bedroom and more cups to help reduce frequency of washing up.

The cottage was beautiful and the perfect location to walk to both the north and south beaches.

It’s a really short drive to Bridlington too. The rooms were perfect and very comfortable.

The cottage was beautiful and in a great location hopefully we can come again next year.

Ideally situated for local walks, with village facilities nearby.

House and facilities were excellent.

Location made it easy to get to all the local attractions. There was a good selection of Pubs/Restaurants/local Shops within easy walking distance. We had an excellent holiday.

We had a lovely holiday, the property was beautiful and had everything we needed.

Overlooking fields with horses in too. Beds were lovely and conformable. We would definitely recommend and will return in the future.
