4 Maypole Green

This was our 4th stay at Maypole Green .

We love the cottage & the location which is within walking distance to Robin Hoods Bay & walking routes on the Cindertrack & Cleveland way. The cottage is spotlessly clean , beautifully decorated & very comfortable with everything you need for a break away . There is a sea view from every window . We will definitely be back !!

Lovely cottage.

Lovely views . The only fault for me was the bed on the top floor was very creeky and everytime one of us moved it disturbed the other. Apart from this we had a great stay. Very modern property.

We had an awesome stay again in Maypole it’s a really lovely place to stay.

All the rooms are spacious and lovely decorated with a homely feel. We love the different walks to the beach from the cottage some longer than others but if you have a dog they will love them all. This cottage is one of my favourites when we stay in Robin hoods bay we park the car right outside the cottage on arrival and its there till we leave.

The cottage was lovely and had everything we could want except egg cups.

The only thing that was confusing was, we couldn't locate the garden area outside. There was a space by the bins for parking but the only garden seemed to be for another property. Other than that it was very very good

This was our second stay at Maypole Green& once again we had a great 5day break in a fabulous quiet location .

The cottage had everything we needed even a view of the sea ! It is spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen . The bedrooms are beautiful ( although we only used one ) with nice linen & towels. The bathrooms are clean & spacious with lovely shower with lashings of hot water. Locally there are great pubs & cafes & easy access from the cottage to the local beach , coastal walks & nearby bus stop to travel to Whitby etc. We will definitely return .

Very clean too. Fylingthorpe is a great location with easier access than nearby Robin Hoods Bay - Thank you for a great stay - we will be back.

Absolutely loved this property!

Stunning views, super cosy, quiet area, plenty of space to relax & the nicest bed linen which was welcomed after a day exploring. Gorgeous scenic walks from the door, fully equipped kitchen & a welcome basket of proper Yorkshire tea & biscuits was a nice touch! Stayed here as a 4 but would not hesitate staying again just as a couple.

A very comfortable, clean cottage with glorious views to the sea - especially at sunrise!

A very calm environment. the cottage is an easily walkable distance to Robin Hood's Bay and the beach, though if you don't fancy the uphill slog back, there's plenty of parking there too. Clifftop walking/running routes all the way north to Whitby and along the Cleveland Way to the south. A fabulous location.

We arrived at the property to find it hadn't been cleaned.

I would like to stress this was NOT the owners fault. Sykes had not given them the details for this booking. However the owner very promptly arranged a cleaner, and all was sorted. The owner was above and beyond helpful, and we all loved staying in her beautiful cottage. We had a very restful 4 days, and the facilities at the cottage were amazing. We would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends. The whole area was fabulous. The break that we all needed!!!!

Had a lovely stay, accommodation was clean, modern and in a perfect location.

Lots of surrounding walks to do. We stayed with our two children who both enjoyed a double bed to themselves! Walked into robin hoods bay every day for dinner. There is no garden but there’s a park and green next door and we were rarely in so was not a problem for us! Netflix on the tv was an added bonus too. Managed to see the Aurora from the top bedroom which was an added unexpected experience to our stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Property lovely and clean and well equipped.

It does say garden but there isn’t one which wasn’t a problem for us but perhaps this should be taken off the listing TV in all bedrooms as well as lounge area. Had to reprogram the lounge area TV when we arrived as it was connected via Wi-Fi but managed to sort it Overall good value for money.

Absolutely stunning property, located in a lovely quiet setting, a great location in general.

Overall we were just amazed at the cleanliness, decor and comfort provided. Great views of the sea and roaming hillsides,I can't recommend this property enough. We will definitely book again!

We had a fantastic stay at Maypole green .

We loved the cottage which was spotlessly clean , modern & warm . The bedrooms were all tastefully decorated & bathrooms modern with excellent showers & plenty of hot water . It had absolutely everything we needed for our weeks stay. The boot room in the hall was great for walking boots & bags . Netflix on the TV was an added bonus . Local pubs are all great with lovely food & drinks . Small shop & butchers close by . Easy access to Cinder Track , Cleveland way & Beach . Would definitely return . Thankyou

Fantastic property!

It was modern yet cosy and had everything we could possibly need. The owners left a wonderful welcome gift and made contact incase we needed them. Location was spot on with the pub and shop a short distance and perfect for a stroll into Robin Hood’s Bay. Loved it!

The property is lovely and the sea views absolutely stunning.

The property is well equipped and spacious. We really enjoyed our visit.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and in a great location.

There were however a few things that let it down slightly. The top floor bedroom radiator wasn’t working till we realized that it needed bleeding …which we did and thankfully it warmed the room on the third night. The crockery and cutlery were in short supply as were the complete lack of serving dishes and spoons …not very elegant or easy serving a curry from a saucepan with a desert spoon. The seating arrangements for four was adequate but six would gave been impossible. Instructions for the electrical appliances would have been helpful too.

Property was well appointed, nicely decorated, very clean and very cosy.

We really enjoyed our stay. A few things need attention which we will detail in email.

Situated in the lovely village of Fylingthorpe, an easy 1 mile walk into Robin Hood's Bay. Within easy reach of many places, Whitby, Goathland, Staithes Runswick among others, all visited and many more. Hope to return in the not too distant future.

Fantastic property everything you would need.

Situated perfect for Whitby Scarborough and Robin Hood bay.

We loved our stay at maypole green, it was perfect for our family (2 adults & 2 children 8 & 5).

The views of Robin Hood’s Bay were beautiful & we loved walking there; it was nice not having to use the car! The cottage was well equipped and very clean. We would definitely return here again, thank you!

Beautiful holiday home, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house had everything we needed for a short break away. Every room was spotlessly clean, kitchen well equipped, shower was lovely, beds very comfortable.

Great location and contained all we needed for a short holiday(except a teapot)!

Lovely cottage in an area we love.

Clever design and use of space, some minor niggles- some hair around on main bathroom floor including around the back of the toilet seat, no dishwasher, appears to accommodate six, we only took four, just as well as the dining table only accommodates four and limited storage space for clothing in the middle bedrooms. None of the above stopped us from having a wonderful time in our favourite holiday location and we always use Sykes for our initial holiday search.

What a lovely property, very clean and well set out.

The bedrooms are nice and spacious too. The views from all of the rooms are outstanding. We loved watching the sun go down over the sea with a glass of wine, perfect. Our family had a great holiday and we will definitely be staying again.

What a wonderful place Maypole Green is.

Located in walking distance to Robin Hood Bay and a short drive to Whitby. We came as a family and it was enjoyed by everyone. The house was spacious, had everything you would need and cleaned to a very high standard, which I can be very picky about. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love this area of the Yorkshire coast we found this property in the perfect place, the property itself was amazing,very modern and spotlessly clean I would recommend it to anyone,the owner s of this property should be very proud.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Maypole View.

The property is tastefully decorated and the views are exceptional. The beds are very comfortable it’s was like a home from home. And Netflix on all the tvs, amazing.

This is an excellent property presented to a high standard- immaculately clean and furnished to a good standard- bedrooms are spacious and the tvs an added bonus.

You park on the street directly outside. Beautiful views- could do with some pint glasses and blackout blinds.
