Very welcoming, quiet and peaceful.

Scarborough and Whitby 20 mins away in car. Beautiful scenery and silence. Total bliss.

I'm so disappointed.

We booked two nights for my birthday and we experienced two rude members of staff in that time. The bed was so uncomfortable that my husband slept on the floor. The chalet was dirty and needs redecorating. The hot tub was dirty and had cloudy water. Despite it being "pet friendly" there is no where designated for dogs to run or toilet. There were no dog water bowls on site either. The lighting in the chalet was awful and gave me a headache as its so stark. The fact that you have to strip your own bed before you leave is simply ridiculous!! I saved up for this break as I'm on a low income and I'm so disappointed in what we experienced, we will never holiday with your firm again.

Great few days away would recommend anyone to stay in the chalet especially with private hot tub great views and surroundings and ony a 20 min drive to Scarborough or Filey.

Had a lovely three day break here Could not find any fault and I have worked in hospitality myself They have thought about everything,bed was so comfortable,maybe some curtains at the window as the daylight shone in through the blind but not a necessity at all Thank you we will definitely return as it was in a perfect location for quiet and chill after coastal visits

Had everything you needed apart from a hob and oven.

and a plug to charge your phone usb point.hot tube was a nice experience.not anywhere to take your dog for a walk apart from round the park.overall it was a nice place to stay will be going back thank you for having us

We stayed in chalet 2 and we absolutely loved it.

The chalet is so cosy and lovely it gave us the wow factor. The hot tub was amazing and was topped up and checked daily. I booked the holiday for my partners 30th birthday and we had an amazing holiday

We stayed from the 31st of December 2025 until the 3rd of January 2026.

Good points: - good air fryer provided - hot tub which we used regularly - onsite bar with pool table - spacious room for two people - well decorated and furnished Bad points: - reception never open when we passed - very hard bed which has left us both with back ache a couple of days after returning - dog hairs and white stains on the bottom bed sheet (we did attempt multiple times to email the site about these cleanliness issues however as the wifi was so temperamental we were unable to do so, management not apparent on site to directly talk to) - smart TV advertised but could not use due to the wifi being down after our first night - terrible shower pressure - very thin walls which meant we were awoken by our neighbours early each morning - we only found out via reviews that there are no cooking facilities in the kitchen bar the air fryer, toaster and microwave so be aware of this and plan ahead

Did realise how basic it really is.

Not even an iron or hair dryer. For food you had to travel to a pub the Ham and Cheese pub was really good and allowed dogs. For what I spent on food for me and my granddaughter we could have booked a better place with a lot more going on and have a kitchen. Everyone that was arriving was shocked to see how basic it really was. Would I recommend sorry but not a chance. Gillian

Excellent stay , very comfortable and very clean , Hot tub was excellent and private.

Would definitely recommend and will stay again. Easy access and plenty to do around the area.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the chalet and hot tub but the bed was way too hard and it rather spoilt it for us.

Not good when you can’t get a good nights sleep. Staff were all friendly and it was nice and quiet.

Had a lovely, relaxing stay in Chalet 2, there is a couple of negatives but I’m a positive chap so will always focus on them.

The Chalet was clean and very presentable with everything that we needed as a base, the location is great as you are in easy reach to Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby amongst other places. The hot tub essentially made my holiday having never been in one before. Dog friendly is always a plus, would like to thank the pool lady who was fantastic from are first meeting, she is certainly an asset to the Snooty Fox. Will definitely book again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay ,, but think chalet would benefit from having a two seater sofa ,as we ended up sitting on bed all week obviously space is limited .

think the bathroom could be made into a shower room instead of having a bath that would free up room.

Our stay was very nice but the only let down was the double bed was so uncomfortable we had to purchase a mattress topper , plus the couple that came to stay Friday we're in and out all night smoking and the smell was horrible and all the cigarettes were left out side on the floor , we do have photos of it if needed, as I thought it was no smoking

Although clean and very useable the chalet is very basic.

Extremely limited kitchenette, you’d struggle to cook anything. All very clean however. Hot tub was nice, you have to cross a small walkway to get to it. Remember to use your key code at the barrier, it’s a small pad on the right hand side. We didn’t see it so I popped into the reception and staff were extremely unfriendly sadly. Only other negative is the walls between the chalets are extremely thin so was quite noisy. However a good base for the area.

Room very clean hot tub tub only at 32 degree on day of arrival must have only been put it on that morning we did use it as we paid for a chalet with an hot tub but it felt cold so didn't say in long , Saturday it was up to temperature 40 degrees much better apart from that the weekend was great we would go back again

The only thing that spoilt it for us mattress was very hard other than that it was perfect thank you

The instructions you are emailed on how to collect your keys is great.

We got in nice and easy in no time at all completely independently. The accommodation was lovely and clean, very spacious. The bed was super comfy and loved the added touch of tea and coffee. I do however think that it should be mentioned on the listing that the property came with a toaster and air fryer. Also I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a long tall wall mirror. The Wi-Fi was a little temperamental but wasn’t too much of an issue. The hot tub is a lovely added touch but wasn’t a fan of the grated fence around top of the wall as people walking up the main stairs to get to there chalet could see you. Also on departure we could not find a industrial bin in order to put all our rubbish in. Overall chalet 2 is fantastic. I would definitely stay again

Lovely chalet, just big enough for 2 and a dog.

Clean and well presented. Hot tub available if needed, but not our thing so didn't use it. Area is close enough to all major towns, but out of the way enough to be peaceful. Some lovely local pubs and inns for great food, suggest the ham and cheese for a great meal and very reasonable. Robin hood bay for a short visit and Whitby coast and town is stunning. York is also beautiful. In all a lovely area and really glad we chose the chalet. Many Thanks for a memorable stay. Nikki Roger and Cumberland.

Excellent stay with you, only problem we had was our Neighbour in Chalet no3 they were constantly out by there door with there window open, both of them smoked one was vaping and the other one was using something other than cigarettes going of the horrid smell.

It would of been appreciated if they had moved away from the door area, I can only say it would of been better if there was a no smoking area along the front of the lodges away from the Hot tubs and doors . Many thanks for a great holiday break .

Lovely stay, don’t actually have any faults to report, wifi was abit temperamental but other then that everything was grand!

The shower doesn't get hot or even warm The bed was rock hard very uncomfortable and pillows was flat and the room in general needs a good spruce up As there is pain peeling all over poorly filled holes in the walls.

The site its self there is nothing except the bar which is not great. It could be a great site with a few changes. To sum it up we Wouldn’t be back as it’s really not worth the money

The hot tub area was good.

The room was ok , just a few things needed. There was only one chair, it needed two. Although there was a microwave it didn't have any cooking dishes or bowls to use with it. The soap powder/conditioner used on the towels and dressing gowns had a very over powering smell. These are points I hope the owner will take note of. Overall it was value for money , as I can see the site is work in progress.

fabulous chalet main reason for not five stars is the teeny tiny unusable fridge !

couldnt fit much in it would maybe suggest taking the microwave out and wall mounting or on the side then a hood size undercounter fridge would fit with a small freezer compartment would be perfect! shower , fdrinks facilities are all great , strong water pressure! great Wifi all free so happy days

Unfortunately the room was not very clean when we arrived.

There were dried contact lenses on the floor and hair around the bathtub. There was also some dried food on one of the plates. Location wise this was perfect for getting to the coast and was only a short walk to a coastliner bus stop. Hot tub didn't feel very warm even though it said 40 degrees.

We really enjoyed staying at the chalet , the only things we thought could be improved was the radiator on the wall in the room didn't work even though we had another one it was a bit chilly.

The bathroom one wasn't warm enough to dry the towels . We realise the hot tub is set at a temperature but it didn't seem warm enough and maybe a cover over the hot tub would be good incase of rain.

Very clean site.

The chalet 2 was clean and the hot tub was also checked everyday. We would recommend this place to friends and family and will return in the future. Close drive to york. Scarborough. Whitby. And others near the east coast.

Lovely romantic chalet, staff very friendly.

Room clean and tidy, hot tub great. Nice escape. Would not book again as had to pay twice for it, due to Sykes Holiday Cottage loosing my booking, then accidentally refunding the payment. Sykes not at all helpful by demanding that I have to pay again whilst my initial payment would take up to ten working days to be refunded.

Hot tub was cleaned day of arrival so took a few hours to be at a good temperature, pub onsite was lovely, staff and other holiday makers were welcoming.

Good base for places like york and scarborough

The location is good to explore the area, however it is not stated that the onsite bar is only open on weekends which was a huge disappointment.

We stayed in chalet 2 the bed is not fit for purpose and should be thrown out and replaced with a new one. A very uncomfortable night trying to sleep on this worn out thing. On a positive note ....Frank who ran the on site Bar was very helpful and gave excellent advice on visiting different sites in the area, a very helpful and nice chap. I

Maybe provide a bigger fridge.

Roadside lighting would be handy as when it was dark we struggled to find the place other than that the stay was great.

Chalet is decorated beautifully and kept so clean.

Place was quite easy to find, all information was provided when we booked the property. We've not had to ask additional questions to access the place. The hot tub was up and running even before we got there, which was very nice. Information leaflets were also available and gave us a couple of ideas of places to visit and things to do, really helpful. Overall it was a great stay! Highly recommended!

The fridge was too small and not cold enough.

too many flies to be able to have windows opened. Having Wi-Fi would have been a real bonus

The chalet was very spacious and clean.

Hot tub was nice and warm although was not as private as we thought. I came with my baby which I had to pay extra for although a cot or bed for the baby was not provided.The mini fridge was very small was barely able to fit much especially because I needed to put the babies milk. The bed was not very comfortable although looked alot nicer in the picture. The best part of the chalet was definitely the bathroom, was very spacious and clean and the shower worked well.

We really enjoyed our stay!

Couldn’t have asked for anyone friendlier and couldn’t have asked for anything more. I’ve never been somewhere more peaceful and will definitely be returning.

Lovely little place, spotless!

Will be a lovely site when it’s developed fully. Only issue was the bed was not the most comfortable, and as we were in chalet 2 our hot tub area was next to the steps to the row of chalets. And the gaps in the fencing round the wall allows people to look straight in to the hot tub area as they come up the steps due to the height/gaps. This will probably be the same for the other side of the steps.. but others were very private
