The property

A character, mid-terrace, stone cottage 20 minutes walk from the centre of Whitby.

With original character features, this Whitby cottage is ideal for families and friends to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday and explore the stunning scenery of the North York Moors National Park.

The rooms are furnished to a contemporary style with a good-sized living area with a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area with a cube dining table and stools, as well as a sitting area with comfy sofas and an electric fire; a great place to relax in front of after a day out and about exploring the area.

There are three bedrooms, two of which have Velux windows, as well as a family bathroom with a Velux window.

To the outside is a small patio garden with plenty of seating making it an ideal place to enjoy some alfresco dining or enjoy a glass of something chilled.

A few minutes walk brings you to the local pub and shop, whilst just a 20 minute walk takes you down to the harbour and all the amenities of this quaint seaside town of Whitby.

Stroll around the quirky, narrow streets and cobbled market place, or climb the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey, with its interesting visitors centre.

There are an abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and cocktail bars to entice you and the renowned fish and chips are a must.

The surrounding North York Moors and the pretty coastal villages, such as Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay are well worth visiting, as is a trip on the renowned steam railway from Grosmont.

Fortunatus is a delightful Whitby cottage, perfect for a wonderful family holiday at any time of the year.
