“Great property, great location the only problem was the stairs are a bit challenging for people with mobility issues because they are quite steep.”

Whilst we managed I think it should be included in the description. That was the only negative and I would go there again.

The property

Florence Cottage is a beautiful, three-storey property in the popular village of Hinderwell, in the North York Moors National Park.

Ideal for a small family, this property is in a fantastic location close to local amenities and a great base from which to explore the area.

On the ground floor, the spacious lounge is the perfect spot to get together after an adventure packed day; cosy up and watch a film by the fire or enjoy reading a book by the large bay window for a moments peace and quiet.

The light cream and wood effect kitchen has everything you’d need so pop the kettle on and enjoy a brew in the morning and sit down together as a family around the dining table later on in the day, to enjoy your evening meal.

The handy utility room is a blessing for walkers, cyclists and dog owners – the extra space gives you plenty of room to store all of your gear, boots and coats after a day exploring the nearby moors and coast.

The main bedroom is on the first floor of the property - featuring a double bed and matching pine furniture, this room is spacious and boasts a pretty light blue décor.

The modern and sleek bathroom, with its light grey tiles and white units, is ideal whether you fancy a quick morning shower or want to relax and unwind in a long, hot bath.

As we venture to the second floor, there is twin bedroom and a separate sitting area, with a television, sofa and extra storage making this the perfect property for families looking for that little extra space.

Hinderwell is a charming village, nestled between Runswick Bay and Staithes in the North York Moors National Park, making it the ideal location for a relaxing getaway.

The local town has many amenities including a range of local pubs, fish and chip shops, tennis courts, village hall and a church.

Near to many coastal walking routes, Hinderwell is an ideal base for walking holidays, but venture further afield and you have access to popular seaside hot-spots and attractions – Take a short drive to Whitby and explore the cobbled streets, famous Abbey and Dracula connections, visit Port Mulgrave Beach and hunt fossils in the beautiful harbour bays, discover local history and head to the Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum or the Zetland Museum where you can discover the oldest lifeboat in the world.

With so much to see and do in North Yorkshire, Florence Cottage offers you a comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding areas.
