The property

Boasting a lovely position on the fringes of the North York Moors National Park, with access to all the seaside delights of Scarborough, is The Pheasantry.

This stone-built, attached cottage offers a superb base for you to relax and unwind with your families or friends all the while making the most of the attractions in the area.

Head into the open-plan living room via the front patio and relax on the sofa with the glow of the woodburning stove to keep you toasty and warm in winter.

Move to the dining area and enjoy a home-cooked meal prepared in the modern-style kitchen, with a pleasant outlook over the front.

Spend your down time with a spot of TV, grab a good book for a quiet read or even get out a board game and enjoy late night chats with a bottle of wine.

The ground floor is complete with a lovely shower room, while the two double bedrooms rest upstairs.

Soak your muscles in your very own hot tub to the rear of the property and indulge after a long walk on the moors.

You have access to the Forge Valley Woods National Nature Reserve, which is of course teeming with a plethora of wildlife and an opportunity to get the family out in the fresh air along the River Derwent.

Travel across to the bustling town of Scarborough and take the kids to one of the golden beaches, where you can build sandcastles and stroll along glistening shores.

Seamer is a pretty village near the coast in North Yorkshire, with a charming blend of old and new buildings adding character to the area, while the main street boasts a collection of old stone houses. You have three traditional pubs serving tasty food, a supermarket, a general store with a Post Office and a church. Spend a day being entertained by all the seaside amenities of Scarborough, which can be easily accessed by car, where you will find parks and gardens, as well as its historic castle overlooking the town. Head to either the North Bay or South Bay for an afternoo stroll of sandcastle building on the beach and later you can grab a bite to eat at one of the pubs or restaurants. You also have the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music. Coastal walks can be enjoyed along the Cleveland Way and you also have the cycle route taking you on the old railway to Whitby, where you can climb its famous 199 steps to the ruins of the abbey. You are in a wonderful position for exploring Heritage coast and the moors, a superb base for a holiday in Yorkshire.
