Potter Hill Cottage

A lovely property.

Smartly and tastefully furnished, with thoughtful touches such as the nightlights. All utilities were modern and well maintained. The owner provided prompt and friendly communications and instructions. We stayed there for 3 nights and were very happy with our stay.

Exactly as described.

Very well maintained. Great location.

We had a lovely stay at Potter Hill Cottage.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable in a fantastic location. Thank you ♥️

Another stay at this very well positioned and thought out property.

Plenty of space for 5 people. Great location for exploring North Yorkshire. We appreciated the fans during this hot spell! The mattress in the attic room felt less comfortable this time and could do with being replaced. A black out blind would really help with sleep in this room too. Overall we had another lovely holiday in Pickering.

Absolutely stunning Cottage very comfortable and clean in a picturesque village with its stone built houses and 1930's Steam train staion shops and pubs all within a couple of minutes walk village market on Mondays is a must.

Would highly recommend this Cottage and the location is adjacent to the North York Moors

Exceptionally clean!

Very comfortable, welcome basket contents a very pleasant surprise. We cannot fault the accommodation!

Settee's a bit on the low side for older people

Had a lovely stay at Potters Hill Cottage Had everything you needed Absolutely spotless Central for town centre and railway station And would defnitely return Thankyou again Mel&Irene

The cottage was lovely, probably the best one we have ever stayed in.

It was extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated. The location is great, only a few minutes walk into the town centre. We managed to park near the property each day. Don't hesitate to book.

The first thing we said as we walked in was "this is like a home from home".

Central to main area of Pickering. Easy to park within short distance. Spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome pack. Comfortable furnishings and beds. Well equipped kitchen. We would highly recommend Potter Hill Cottage to anyone visiting the area. We would choose to come back next time we visit the area.

A beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Everything has been thought of, from the welcome basket to the dishwasher tablets! Good communication with the owners who were polite and accommodating. Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again if we are back in the area :)

Absolutely lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and a super little welcome hamper too.

Great value for money too. Would definitely recommend and can see why it is so popular. A tiny suggestion, a simple hand blender /stick in the kitchen would be a great addition, just for smoothies/shakes. But the absence didn’t spoil our stay at all, I could have brought my own after all! Pickering is well placed for visiting both the moors and coast. Spice 4U Indian restaurant and The Sun in highly recommended.

This is the fifth time of using this cottage, and as usual it did not disappoint.

The only unfortunate thing is that it is already booked for our next trip north.

Wonderful stay, excellently equipped, can't fault!

The cottage was so lovely we booked again for next year before we’d even left Pickering!

Everything is so thoughtfully and carefully set up and organised, from top to toe, and so comfortable, with great communication and a basket of goodies to welcome us too! It genuinely felt like a home from home from the first seconds we arrived and we thoroughly enjoyed our break.

We had a wonderful stay at Potter Hill Cottage.

The property was immaculate. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, cosy and we didn't want to leave. It had everything you needed and the location was perfect. We will definitely be returning.

Where to begin from walking in the door we were blown away how gorgeous the cottage is, the pictures look good but reality was so much better.

So comfortable and cosy and very well presented. From receiving texts to a lovely welcome basket I can’t thank Mel & Irene enough. Location is perfect too, so close to everything. When it came to leaving we really didn’t want too. We have absolutely no complaints and will definitely be back

A perfect cottage within easy walking distance of Pickering’s beautiful town centre with its unique shops and great restaurants.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and all furnishings, appliances and utensils high-end. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just arrived back from two lovely weeks in Pickering.

Potter Hill Cottage was very comfortable and clean, everything was provided. Really enjoyed our stay there. Would certainly return. The welcome basket of goodies was a lovely gesture on arrival. Great fish & chips shop just up the road, would recommend and short walk into Pickering and Steam railway.

Potter Hill cottage is a gorgeous well kept cottage right in the heart of Pickering , it is very comfortable and well equipped everything you could need loved our hoilday, would highly recommend.

Another lovely stay in Potter Hill Cottage.

Would highly recommend.

Beautiful comfortable cottage, very clean and an unexpected welcome pack made for an excellent short stay.

Ideally situated for Pickering town centre and for travelling further afield in North / East Yorks

This is our fourth stay in this cottage, one of the best in Pickering.

Within a short walk of the town, clean and well equipped. The owners ensure basic requirements like kitchen roll and hand wash, so you don’t have to shop the minute you arrive. In fact the only think left to worry about is the weather.

We found this property very comfortable & done to a high standard & we felt the owner thought of everything from, dishwasher tablets to a sewing kit.

We enjoyed it that much we have already rebooked for next year

We have stayed once before and knew when returning everything would be spotlessly clean.

Every effort has been made to provide what guests need. Beds and bed linen are of a high quality as indeed are everything in the cottage. A real home from home.

Our second visit and can highly recommend.

This cottage was amazing, it had everything we needed and more.

It was an excellent location for the NYMR trains and town centre. I could have quite happily stayed permanently.

Potter Hill Cottage was absolutely fabulous, clean, cozy and comfortable.

We chose Pickering as a base to explore North Yorkshire for a few days, lovely Fish and Chip shop opposite which we had one night with the bottle of Prosecco we were left, along with crisps and biscuits ( we didn’t eat them all on the same day), our dog Harry loved his stay and settled like it was home from home, we would not hesitate to stay again every little touch was well thought about, parking was first come first serve but we always managed to park

Excellent property, clean, comfortable and set in a lovely town, handy for amenities, sight seeing and just chilling out.

Many thanks to owners for letting us share.

Potter Hill Cottage is an extremely comfortable, well presented property.

It is ideally situated and parking outside was never an issue. We would definitely stay here again should we holiday in Pickering.

After several visits to 61potters Hill we are never disappointed so much so we have booked again for later this year.

Thanks again to Mel and Irene who are perfect hosts

Amazing cottage, Mel and Irene kept us informed of when the cottage was available on the day of arrival and waiting for us was a welcome pack including some bubbly.

Don't follow sat nav but the directions on site. We never had any problems parking parked outside front door every day during our stay. Can't praise it enough 5 star.

Absolutely amazing place to stay.

The pictures do not show the actual size of this property. All rooms are larger. Very high standard. Fantastic location. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely property in a great location.

Wow!

This cottage is absolute perfection. beautiful fresh decor, lovely furnishings and immaculately clean. We had an amazing welcome pack and the cottage was so warm and cosy when we arrived! The location was fab… we will definitely be booking again as there is no point in looking at other cottages as there can’t be anything nicer that potter hill.

Incredible cottage has everything you need ,shops nearby ,pubs nearby and lots to do and places near enough to visit.

Our 2nd visit in 2years ,stopped here the same week ( Christmas week) back in 2022. Liked the new edition of the rechargeable torches on the first landing so you could go up the stairs to the next level. No hesitation in going back for a third time just love it.

Lovely, comfortable and with everything we needed for our stay.

Really well located, less than 5 minutes walk from the shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants in the town centre. We’ve stayed in Pickering several times before and this is our new favourite cottage in the area!

Potter hill cottage was warm and welcoming when we arrived on a damp foggy afternoon.

The property was immaculate, and had everything we needed.

A beautiful homely cottage.

Very clean and modern and very comfortable. Will be booking again and the best cottage I have stayed in Picketing.

Our third time here and we have booked for next December.

The house is homely and central, so why would you go else where.

Potter cottage is a comfortable exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated holiday home in a convenient part of the town.

The cottage was very well appointed and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. We were greeted on arrival by a super welcome pack. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage, immaculately clean.

very well equipped. Thankyou for generous welcome pack.ideally situated to explore North Yorkshire moors and coast.would definitely return.

This was our first time staying in Yorkshire and we could not have chosen a more beautiful cottage, in the most centralised location to enjoy all of Yorkshire.

A cosy, well equipped cottage with helpful, courteous owners who helped us wherever they could.

Convenient for all facilities and amenities in the town.

The cottage was beautifully presented and in a lovely position in Pickering, close to all the facilities - the shops, pubs and NYMR.

The welcome basket left by Mel and Irene was a lovely touch.

We have stayed at quite a few cottages with Sykes and this we found was so good my wife said this is how I want my house.

Having said that, the cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and inviting, we had our young granddaughter with us and having the high chair and stairgate were a welcome bonus along with the travel cot. We had a great week visiting places around the area. Top marks for your lovely cottage.

This is our second stay at Potter Hill Cottage and we love it.

The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable, it has everything you could possibly need it really is home from home. On street parking and every day we got parked outside the cottage. Only a short walk into the centre of Pickering with lovely shops, pubs and restaurants and a great base for exploring with so many nice places close by. The welcome hamper was a lovely thoughts and the hosts kept in touch checking everything was ok. We will definitely return and couldn't recommend this cottage enough.

We loved our stay in Potter Hill Cottage and would thoroughly recommend it.

The cottage is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and furnished and decorated to a very high standard. The location is brilliant, a short walk to the town centre, Steam railway and Pickering Castle. We enjoyed visiting nearby York and Dalby Forest.

Accommodation was very clean and comfortable and location was great

Really lovely cottage , spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Excellent location for local bars , restaurants and the brilliant steam railway station. Will definitely come back again

Really spacious, pretty cottage and well located for trips to Dalby Forest, Filey beach and the local towns.

Everything we needed was provided. No problems parking either. Thank you, we even saw the meteor shower from the garden!

An absolutely beautiful cottage.

Immaculately clean and all the comforts of home. The owners were always on standby should we need anything, which we didn't as everything we needed was in the accommodation. Only a 5 minute walk into the town centre, pub around the corner and supermarkets also a 5 minute walk. Would definitely go again and highly recommend this stunning little cottage.

Outstanding cottage, thank you so much.

We spent 4 days at the cottage and OMG we were not disappointed. The home was immaculately clean and a gorgeous welcome basket made us feel welcome. Everything we could need and more available and the beds extremely comfortable. Nice to be able to sit in the patio garden and location very peaceful. On street parking but we never had any issues parking. The owners texted to say we could check in early and also not to rush with the check out, so thank you for that. Already looking to rebook.

Absolutely beautiful holiday home.

There were 5 of us and found the house very comfortable and immaculately clean. Everything that you could possibly need was provided. Lovely welcome basket on our arrival. Such attention to detail and very well cared for. The house was ready before 4 and they kindly messaged us to let us know. Location is fantastic. Short walk (5 mins) to all amenities and the beautiful centre of Pickering. Hope to be back!

The cottage is absolutely lovely, the owners have obviously Invested a lot of time, thought and money with everything we needed.

The decoration, facilities and fittings are all of a very high standard. The location is excellent with a pub, chip shop and the town within walking distance. We always managed to park close the property. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful, spacious cottage in a great location near to the town centre, street parking was never an issue.

Cottage was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely recommend.

Very good location, easy to park.

Top floor could be difficult if you are less mobile. Lovely stay. Lovely basket when arrived with goodies. Minor thought would be a cafetiere. Nice holiday.

We arrived to the cottage and what a wonderful surprise.

The pictures don't do it justice, although they are accurate they don't show how roomy those beautiful cottage really is. We have stayed in Pickering for 12 years sometimes twice a year and this is the best yet. Will be a delight to rebook. Vicky, Graeme and Bella.

Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean everything you need provided.

Perfect!

We will definitely be back!

The cottage was amazing will definitely book again just a shame we couldn’t stay longer.

A lovely and enjoyable week as usual we are never disappointed Thank you.

Myself, my wife and our Spaniel Jarvis stayed here from the 8th March 2024.

We have stayed in many cottages across the country. Your cottage has been the best we have stayed in. The attention to detail, the quality of the furnishings, and the ambience of the cottage is brilliant. We arrived late on a Friday night. We were welcomed by a warm front room, with a welcome basket. We immediately felt at home. We spent a lot of days exploring the local area, however we really enjoyed coming back to your cottage to relax, make some lovely food in your well equipped kitchen and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere you have created. We both work very hard in our lives and this was a lovely haven of peace. Thank you Mel and Irene, you literally have the best rental property in Yorkshire. We will definitely be booking again. For other Potential guests: Russell’s bakery in the market place is stunning. Lovely produce and amazing cakes!! Nosh, they do lovely food, from breakfast through to lunch, using local produce where they can. My wife is coeliac and we have managed to negotiate this well in Pickering. Capplemans is a fish and chip restaurant that caters for coeliacs and gluten free diners. It’s collection only, but it’s a 5 minute walk from the cottage. It’s worth it! Previous guests have mentioned the on street parking issues. We managed to park on the street, not necessarily in the same spot, but not far at all. Thanks again!! We will be back soon!!

Beautiful cottage and location

We stay in a quite a few properties and I have to say that Potter Hill Cottage was one of the best.

Great communications from the off, very clean, well equipped, warm, everything just worked really well. Also a great location just off of Pickering town centre, with a top pub just around the corner! No dedicated parking, but with a bit of common sense and effort, everyone was happy. We'd love to return to the area, so Potter Hill Cottage will be our first port of call when we do.

Wonderful cottage.

We had a lovely stay at Potter Hill cottage. It is clear to see that Mel and Irene haven't just created another holiday let but a real home from home. They have really thought of everything with added little extra touches. Great location, warm and immacutely clean. Simply put - just perfect. Thank you.

We have loved staying at No.

61.A beautiful house in a great location, easy access to town, but quiet. It has everything you need,a mixture of traditional and modern fittings, all of the highest quality, and immaculately clean.Thank you for the welcome basket, would definitely recommend 5*

Beautiful cottage, very warm and cosy, very clean with everything you could possibly need, would highly recommend

Lovely cottage, thoughtful welcome basket with goodies in.

Definitely would stay again.

Five stars simply isn't enough for this beautiful property, by far the best holiday cottage we have had, would not hesitate to recommend.

This was the first time at Potter Hill, and we have already booked to return next December, I think that says it all.

Very nicely decorated, warm, cosy and furnished. We have stayed at a number of places in Pickering but this has become a firm favourite.

We have had several lovely stays at No61 and we are not disappointed.

Thanks Mel and Irene

Having stopped at 3 other cottages next to the train station over the past 3 years and been a bit disappointed we decided to look at other cottages in Pickering.

We quickly found potter hill and read the reviews sounded amazing so booked for 3rd November. owner contacted me to say cottage was available early at 2,30 which was nice, opening the door to the cottage we couldn't believe how well presented it was spotlessly clean throughout, cottage was lovely and warm very nice welcome hamper and milk in the fridge. kitchen was amazing everything you could possibly need all pots and pans including 2 frying pans spotless like new , cooker looked as if had never been used I cannot praise the cleanliness of this cottage enough, little things like kitchen foil, baking paper, wash tabs for the washer and tabs for dish washer , upstairs really nice shower very comfortable bed, towels and bedding lovely and fresh, As described in the description of the cottage stairs are a bit steep but after using them a couple of times you get used to them I would highly recommend potter hill cottage and cannot wait until we can come back A very big thank you to Mel and Irene for letting us use your beautiful cottage

September 8th 2023 This was a lovely cottage.

It was very clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The owners had obviously put a great deal of thought in providing everything a holiday maker would need. The cottage was ideally situated just five minutes away from two big supermarkets and also near transport links. We actually didn't use our car all week prefering to use our bus passes to travel to the places we wished to visit. We were sorry to not meet the owners during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend family and friends to stay there..

We had a wonderful stay at Potter Hill.

It was clean and comfortable and we felt at home. The welcome basket was a lovely extra which was much enjoyed and appreciated! The owners checked in with us on the day of arrival and leaving to make sure everything was OK. Could not fault our experience at all and would return.

This was our first stay at Potter Hill Cottage but won't be our last!

It was very clean, very comfortable and very well equipped with everything you might need being provided, as well as a generous welcome pack and milk in the fridge. All the furniture was of a good quality and it felt more like a home than a holiday cottage. It is obvious that the owners have put a lot of effort into making this cottage perfect for holidays. The location was excellent as well - being a short walk into the centre of Pickering and an even shorter walk to the Sun Inn - excellent real ales and the very good Potter Hill Fish and Chip shop. All in all - highly recommended!

The cottage was beautiful and ideally located to visit the moors, Whitby, Scarborough and the many English heritage abbeys and castles in the area.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well stocked with everything you could think of and lots of little things easily forgotten from home. They even provided three fans to help keep us cool! We had a welcome text when we arrived and the owners messaged us on the day of departure saying we didn't have to rush out. Not intrusive but we knew the owners were there if we needed. The local area had a pub, fish and chip shop and a supermarket all within a very short walking distance. The local community was very friendly. The whole holiday was just perfect. Thanks to the owners for everything!

The house was in immaculate condition, quality bedding and towels - indeed, quality throughout!

The galley kitchen is extremely well designe, lwith all appliances to hand and light floods in through the window and the ewroof window. The bedrooms were beautifully furnished and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom, likewise, was very well presented. Overall, a beautifully presented and exremely comfortable cottage.

This was a delightful ,well maintained cosy cottage,we really enjoyed are stay.

Ideally situated for exploring this area of North Yorkshire. On arrival there was a welcoming pack of goodies which was a nice touch.Would most certainly recommend this little cottage.

Well equipped to a high standard, decor modern.

The property was spotlessly clean throughout. A little gem so close to the centre of Pickering. It was good to find a holiday cottage that was true to all the photos. Thankyou for the welcome pack which went down a treat.

Absolutely brilliant, beautiful house.

Lovely and clean and inviting. Would absolutely recommend without a doubt. Absolute gem

Lovely clean comfortable cottage close to amenities would recommend.

Had a lovely stay the cottage was nice and clean and was nice and warm when we arrived There was a lovely welcome basket for us which was very much appreciated.

It was a pity we had to leave a day early due to the inclement weather but not a lot anyone can do about that and we would definitely come back to Potter hill cottage and recommend anyone to stay there many thanks Phil

Lovely cottage just a short walk into the centre of Pickering.

Walks from the door to the castle and beyond. The cottage was very well equipped and felt more like a home than a let. My daughter loves her own little room and the night lights were a nice touch. The courtyard was large enough for our small dog to have a sniff around and we loved how dog friendly Pickering is. Highly recommend Nosh, Feast and the Black Swan for food and drink with your pooch. We managed to park right outside no problem.

Very clean comfortable good location.

Like home from home. Very warm and cosy .

Potter Hill Cottage is beautifully decorated while still being cosy and inviting.

It has everything we needed for the perfect self-catering holiday. The location is great, just a short walk to the shops and plenty of nearby open spaces for walking our dog. The parking is on-street but we never had a problem finding a spot near the Cottage. Communication with the owners was easy and they responded quickly to any queries we had. We loved staying in Potter Hill Cottage and will definitely look to see if it's available for our next visit to Pickering.

We had a lovely stay at Potter Hill Cottage.

The owners were so kind and accommodating for us as we stayed there with our baby. Would not hesitate to recommend and hope to visit again in the future ! Perfectly situated to explore the coast as well as other lovely places like York and Malton.

We had a lovely stay at Potter Hill Cottage.

The cottage was really warm and cozy as well as being absolutely immaculate and well equipped, well done to the turn around team. I’ve never seen such a neat and tidy kitchen in a holiday let. Everything close at hand in Pickering and all very dog friendly. We had a few lovely meals in neighbouring village pubs. We rented it for two of us and the dog but our kids in their twenties came for the weekend and were jealous that we got to stay all week. Lovely days out at Scarborough, Whitby and Filey even in January. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful property in a perfect location, a short walk away from the town.

Very clean , comfortable accommodation. Warm and spacious and a well equipped kitchen. Beautiful welcome basket . The most comfortable beds I've ever stayed in , great shower and facilities. A highly recommended property - would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to family or friends. Managed to park daily outside the property and excellent communication from the property owners. There were no negatives to report from our stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our new year visit - thank you.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in ,was lovely to arrive on a cold wet evening and to be greeted with a clean and warm cottage and great welcoming pack ,on top of that a great location for many trips out over the week we were there.

Hats off to the changeover crew for getting the cottage ready and warm for our arrival. Would use Sykes holiday cottages again.

There is nothing but good to say about this property.

Warm, cosy, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Everything is thought of and the kitchen is especially well equipped. I looked forward to coming back after a day exploring and will definitely return. Perfect!!!

Had a fantastic weekend at Potter hill.

Spotlessly clean beds very comfortable, shower excellent. Lovely to have wine and treats on arrival. Appreciated. Would definitely return and recommend.

Thank you for the welcome basket and milk.

The fans for each bedroom were a welcome addition. Could maybe do with a few more pegs for the washing line but otherwise there was plenty of everything. Great location, a few occasions when we couldn’t park outside but we used a nearby street so all fine. Perfect for exploring Pickering itself and the North Yorkshire Moors & coast.

Lovely cottage.

Ideally situated. Very clean and really nice welcome pack provided

Placed in lovely quiet area.

Lots of amenities nearby. Property was really nice and clean.

We loved the property and its close proximity to the town .

The furnishings are pretty the beds very comfortable with good quality bed linen . The kitchen has everything required ( although we ate out ) We were delighted with the overall experience of our stay.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at potter hill cottage The house is beautiful, comfortable, clean and convenient to local amenities.

Pickering is a lovely town surrounded by gorgeous countryside.

Very very nice clean warm & comfortable cottage, very well equipped with everything you need, short stroll into lovely town wonderful dog walking as far as you wish to go, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quality

Lovely cottage and spotlessly clean.

Very spacious, fantastic shower and well kitted out kitchen. Nice, short walk to the steam railway and town. Welcome basket and milk was a nice touch. We were very lucky with the weather but a clothes airer would be useful for when it's raining. We would stay again and will recommend to others.

Excellent house in quiet location with gorgeous bathroom and shower.

The whole house was spotlessly clean, modern and inviting. Lovely new kitchen with all essentials was another bonus. A very nice base to explore the forests with our cocker. We will definitely be back as we love Pickering. Highly recommended is the chip shop 30 metres up the road and spice 4U if one prefers a curry.

Fantastic base for our weekend break with two young children.

Well equipped, couldnt have wished for anything more

This tastefully renovated house was a very comfortable and cosy retreat during a wet and windy week in February.

Parking is on street but we never had problems finding a space. The chippy at the end of the road is excellent. Pickering is a lovely little town, perfectly situated for visits to the moors, York, Whitby and the coast. Would definitely recommend.

Had a fabulous week in a lovely and clean cottage in a great location.

Decorated to a very high standard. Felt like home. Plenty of places to eat and drink. We love walking and the location had plenty of good walks with lovely scenery. The owners made us feel like part of their family. Would highly recommend.

Mel and Irene have a wonderful property don't let the stairs put anyone off my late disabled wife was OK with them caant wait to return but please don't try to book my weeks trev and victoria

This cottage was stunning, and warm and cosy also the gift basket was really thoughtful, We really enjoyed our stay, The only thing that was a little disappointing was the surrounding area I feel it’s more for younger families but would definitely recommend this cottage.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location.

Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous place to say.

..there is nothing you need that they havent catered for with children and pets. Thank you very much!

Great place, really well presented, stones throw from everywhere, thoroughly recommend!

!

What a fantastic cottage!

The pictures make the cottage look amazing but it is even better in real life. When we arrived, there was a welcome pack which was over and above our expectations - milk, biscuits, crisps, treats for our dog, even a bottle of wine- a lovely touch that we didn't expect. The beds were really comfortable too. Location-wise, it was perfect for us. We had a fantastic holiday and we will definitely return - we would love to stay here again. Thank you Potter Hill Cottage!

Amazing cottage, sparklingly clean, very comfortable, every attention to detail catered for.

Would highly recommend staying here. Will definitely be booking potter Hill cottage again. Thank you.

Lovely cottage , helpful owners we had a great time thank you

What a absolute gem of a cottage!

Everything you could need has been thought of. Smart clean and fresh in appearance, wonderful location for exploring. Really had a fabulous time we will be back.

Absolutely stunning little cottage.

Not kidding, you would have thought the entire place had just been redecorated the week before our stay. Beautifully finished & immaculately clean. Only downside was that we weren't there longer to fully appreciate it. Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

From the moment we walked through the door we were blown away with this beautiful cottage!

They thought of everything beyond our expectations and would not hesitate in going back. Thank you so much

We had a fantastic week in this lovely cottage, it was like home from home with everything that you could need.

It had a lovely welcome hamper which was greatly appreciated as well as milk in the fridge! It was a short walk into Pickering with lovely shops, cafes and pubs. We found it a great base for visiting Scarborough, Whitby and York all our favourite places. The only downside was the parking unfortunatly our car got hit outside on our last night, this does not reflect the cottage at all as we loved it but just to be aware it is a very narrow street with double sided parking.

Probally the worst sykes holiday ever but even sykes can't organise the weather the property was superb as was the owners and I would recommend it to anyone but not the weeks I want!

whilst the warning of the stairs was good as a disabled person I cooped OK so please don't be put off yet again 5 *+ property

The beds were a bit springy for us but that is a personal preference.

We couldn’t find any egg cups and apart from that very small detail it was very well provided in every way top marks

The cottage at potter hill was at a very high standard of cleanliness.

The cottage was in an area close to all amenities and a brilliant location for exploring.. Would recommend to anyone who loves walking especially with a dog.

The cottage is in a really good location and is very clean and well kept, could not fault it.

We would definitely recommend it and hopefully stay again in the near future

Lovely clean and well presented cottage.

Kitchen well equipped. Lovely bedrooms. Great to beable to walk into the pretty town and within walking distance of supermarkets-- Lidl and Co op. Quite a good base to visit other places eg; York, Whitby, Scarborough Only downside is no designated parking. Would recommend and would visit again.

A beautiful cottage- I wanted to live there!

Property could do with one more toilet with sleeping 5 but other than that we had a lovely stay and the cottage was spotless on arrival.
