Sea winds is a wonderful place to stay.

comfortable,beautifully furnished and welcoming. The outlook is lovely and sitting in the conservatory looking out on the garden and surrounding country side was truly enjoyable. The accommodation has everything one should need for an enjoyable stay. We would recommend. There is also plenty of places to see round and about without going too far. Just a note that it isn’t very easy to find based on the travel instructions and the road to the accommodation is very narrow . Worth it though and would return.

The cottage is well appointed and the views are beautiful from the conservatory and the front of the property.

It is a lovely cottage, well equipped and clean. Access from the road to the property is 'a little bit IFFY' but well worth the effort. We had a lovely holiday, sorry we forgot to sign the visitors book. M&M

Beautiful property, in quiet rural setting.

Lovely indoor and outdoor seating, from which you can admire the stunning views. Few minutes, along country lanes, into Robin Hood's Bay. The property, was just as advertised, with everything you need, plus little extras. I would definately recommend and hopefully come back

Spacious, cosy, well equipped with beautiful garden and conservatory.

I can happily recommend Seawinds as a wonderful , away from it all, holiday break.

Located in beautiful countryside, set in a fabulous sunny garden, Seawinds has everything you need. It is extremely well equipped with 3 large bedrooms , a sunny conservatory and a kitchen with every need catered for. The photos do not do justice to this cottage! Definitely want to return here.

The welcome pack provided was much appreciated , ( biscuits and sweet treats andYorkshire tea ) however although marmalade and jam was provided no bread and butter was provided .

The house was lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable, the setting was wonderful but it was not not a tranquil place to relax and enjoy the setting as there is a family in close proximity enjoying family life, the children enjoy their garden and the new tree house and play garden that their parents have made for the enjoyment of their family, sadly this wasn't the tranquil setting we hoped for. The photographer has been very imaginative in providing photos, the kitchen was very tired, the sofas looked lovely on the website but were covered with throws that were dated and unwelcoming. It should be mentioned that the lane to the accommodation is very long and single track

Excellent all round, this was our third stay.

Lovely property, well equiped and clean.

A very quiet location down a single track road with a few passing places, we were lucky though as only met other traffic once. Good location for Whitby and Robins Hood Bay, a little further afield Scarborough and Filey. Around half hour walk to Robins Hood Bay. A lovely view especially when washing up, made it less of a chore! Lol. We had a wonderful break, definately be back to Seawinds when visiting the area again. We would highly recommend, great quiet rural location in comfy accommodation. Thanks for the welcome pack it was most appreciated, the flowers smelt beautiful.

Had lovely stay the cottage had every thing that you would need all you needed was your clothes and food and it was a nice touch with flowers and milk and and tea and coffee the views were good also the wild life barn owl wood peckers and small birds we really loved it

I have stayed in 2 Sykes properties over the summer and both have been a very high standard. I will be disappointed if future bookings don't match up

We had a wonderful week in Seawinds.

It is a lovely house and garden in a most peaceful setting. The beds were comfy (not always the case with S/C) and the bathroom/shower excellent. The conservatory was the perfect place to enjoy the odd glass of wine each evening whilst enjoying the views of open countryside leading to Ravenscar. A perfect base to explore this marvellous area.

Ideal for short stay - once one gets used to the narrow local roads!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seawinds.

The cottage was very well equipped with all bedding, towels, cleaning equipment and even a small welcome pack. It was clean and comfortable with sea views to the front and countryside to the back. It was well placed for visiting surrounding towns and attractions. It was a 10 minute walk down to Fylinthorpe with its well stocked shop and pub and a further 10 minutes walk to Robins Hood Bay. We will definitely like to stay here again.

This years visit was our second, which speaks for itself. Very highly recommended.

A lovely cottage and very well equipped with everything provided that you could wish for.

No dishwasher but the view from the kitchen window made washing up a pleasure. Excellent facilities for recycling as well which not all properties have. Lots of information given about how things worked, hot water, bin days etc. Only gave a recommendation of 8 as it is fairly remote and up a hill from the village and Robin Hood’s Bay which not everyone would like. We loved it and walked the hill fairly frequently, using the local bus service instead of the car. We will certainly return.

Lovely rural, quiet area but not difficult to find.

Overlooking fields. Lovely living areas including conservatory and enclosed garden. Great to have stools at breakfast bar for quick snacks or the option of the dining room for meals. Comfortable beds and bedrooms-all spacious. Everything we needed and more. Really enjoyed our stay.

The house was in a wonderful & quiet location.

It was very spacious & clean. We loved the garden & views, & would very much like to stay here again sometime.

We had a wonderful week at Seawinds, enjoying the garden, which caught the sun all day and it was a great base to explore the coast from.

Absolutely fantastic cottage!

Spotless, extremely comfortable and everything we needed was there. Garden was beautiful and very peaceful...just what my family needed to rest and unwind after a few difficult months. Our 4 year old grandson loved playing in the garden and watering the plants and flowers. Conservatory was a bonus! We did not watch television all week. We sat in the conservatory each night and played board games which we haven't done for years. By far, the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in and hence a truly wonderful holiday. Thank you so much!

Fantastic cottage, peaceful, spacious, comfortable beds, clean and tidy, equipment high standard and everything you need including a tea pot which was appreciated by us, great WiFi , lovely garden with sea views, easy to get to tourist hot spots like Robin hood's bay, Whitby and Scarborough, we had a lovely week at Seawinds and would happily recommend the cottage or stay again thank you

My partner and i have stayed in cottages all over England and this cottage is definitely one of the best!

IMMACULATELY clean. plenty of utensils e.t.c. It was so lovely to sit outside in the beautiful garden with the fantastic views of the sea in the distance and fields with cows .Saw lots of birds and wildlife, Night time was wonderfully peaceful and the beds were super comfy. probably the best nights sleep we have had in months. it was great to have the use of a washer drier as we had a few very rainy days. lovely conservatory to sit in though which did not spoil our holiday. The cottage is ideally placed .We visited Whitby ,Scarborough, .Robin hoods bay and Ravenscar .Also lots of lovely walks but the cottage is so lovely some days we just stayed in and relaxed. We were very sad to leave and wished we had booked two weeks instead of one! would definitely return and do not hesitate to recommend it to anyone,

This cottage is everything you would want for a break away.

It was spotless and had all the necessary equipment you could want. We loved sitting in the conservatory in the mornings and then going and about. Its very near to Robins Hood Bay and just a short drive to Whitby and all the surrounding areas. There are many lovely places to eat and I would highly recommend the Water Wheel, the Fox and Hounds and also the Three Jolly Sailors. If you want a light bit or even a breakfast the Abbey View cafe at the Victoria Garden Centre opposite the park and ride is very good food and very reasonably priced

Thank you to you all for a lovely week at a fabulous beyond expectations week at Seawinds near Robin Hoods Bay.

Beautiful property with everything we needed and spotlessly clean on arrival the grandchildren were super excited and granny and grandad were downstairs when needing a bit of downtime the property worked really well all round. The late night walks were amazing even spotting a Badger. Would highly recommend this property.

There were 6 of us staying in the cottage and we were all delighted with the level of comfort and cleanliness A very well equipped kitchen A brilliant base to work from excellent location

This property was a real "home from home", with all the comforts to help feel relaxed and the location was very picturesque and peaceful.

Within easy reach of local amenities and coastal beauty spots such as Robin Hood's Bay and the North York Moors. Pretty garden in which to enjoy the surrounding scenery and a lovely view across the bay. Definitely somewhere we would stay again.

Views from the property were really lovely but house could do with up dating.

I thought that Seawinds was an ideal property for 4 people,lovely location, comfortable and well equipped.

My ancient parents (90s) appreciated the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. All in all, pretty good.

Seawinds is a lovely, clean and comfortable cottage.

It's a great base to explore the North Yorkshire coast and Moors. Robin Hood's Bay is a 30 minute walk through quiet country lanes. The views from both sides of the cottage are stunning. Thank you for a much-needed fab and relaxing holiday!

Accurate description, very comfortable and beautiful setting.

The cottage was one of the best that we have stayed in.

Everything that we needed was provided for. The beds were very comfortable! The layout perfect for our needs. And the bonus of seeing sheep from the front and deer from the back!!

Cant fault the place however 2 comments for improvement - It would have been nice to have a dishwasher to avoid the chore on holiday.

A welcome pack of best places for beaches, rock-pooling, crabbing, fossiling, walking sea-life and other activities that people coming to the area are there for is missing - they have them at every other place I have stayed at.

We ah da really brilliant holiday at sea winds - the sea views from the patio were a very welcome surprise!

Fabulous house with everything you need. Quiet spot with stunning views

As a three generation family we appreciated the ground floor bedroom which grandparents used, leaving the children and grandchildren to the first floor.

The enclosed garden was great for our 1 and 3 year old - the only problem there was the small drop by the trellising which we had to be careful of. We liked the inclusion of children's plastic plates, bowls and cups, though there was only one set of cutlery of a smaller size. We requested a cot and high chair at the booking stage which we read was available - I'm not sure that was on the booking confirmation or later correspondence. The twin beds were a little on the high side for a 3 year old but we overcame that by moving the mattress to the floor. All rooms were of a good size and the kitchen was well equipped, barring a dish washer. All instruction manuals for equipment were available. Parking spaces for two cars was good. The narrow road to the property was fine to drive along - not much traffic came by giving us a lovely peaceful week. Views were lovely.

Seawinds has been an excellent base for exploring the North York Moors. Cosy, well equipped house. We especially loved the views and outside area where we enjoyed peaceful outlook over fields and cliffs.'

We had a lovely time at Seawinds. The cottage is very homely and comfortable and the location glorious. We particularly enjoyed being in the conservatory and the back garden. The bedrooms are also lovely. We found Yorkshire Coastal Cottages a very friendly company to deal with. The bag of goodies was a nice touch.

We have just returned from a lovely holiday at Seawinds and I wanted to let you know how lovely the property is. It is fully equipped, with a pleasant garden and fantastic views. I think it is the most comfortable bed I have slept in when on holiday!
