    “The welcome pack provided was much appreciated , ( biscuits and sweet treats andYorkshire tea ) however although marmalade and jam was provided no bread and butter was provided .”

    The house was lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable, the setting was wonderful but it was not not a tranquil place to relax and enjoy the setting as there is a family in close proximity enjoying family life, the children enjoy their garden and the new tree house and play garden that their parents have made for the enjoyment of their family, sadly this wasn't the tranquil setting we hoped for. The photographer has been very imaginative in providing photos, the kitchen was very tired, ...

The photographer has been very imaginative in providing photos, the kitchen was very tired, the sofas looked lovely on the website but were covered with throws that were dated and unwelcoming. It should be mentioned that the lane to the accommodation is very long and single track

The property

Ground Floor The kitchen has a breakfast bar - you can enjoy breakfast or your morning coffee whilst enjoying the views - and is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and washing machine/dryer. From the inner hallway, there is a formal dining room with table and chairs to comfortably sit six people to enjoy meals together whilst reliving the day's adventures - isn't that what holidays are all about? There is a lovely sitting room, with accents of duck egg blue, with a wood burning stove - so cosy in the cooler months - plus TV and DVD player, with comfortable seating to sit back and relax. There is a smart ground floor double bedroom with views over the garden and also a ground floor bathroom with bath and shower attachment, separate shower cubicle, WC and hand wash basin. The good size conservatory overlooks the garden and is light and airy with comfortable seating to sit and relax or read. The enclosed garden is very pretty with a lawn, terrace - a perfect place to take your glass of wine before dinner and sit and enjoy the sunset - and well-stocked borders, with views over open fields and across to woodland. First Floor This floor has two more bedrooms - a superb, large master bedroom with a king size bed - plus a cot bed is available for a small child - this charming bedroom has long-distance views over the gardens and countryside and across to the sea and Ravenscar. There is also a smart twin bedroom that has two full size 3' single beds (which are zip and link and can be made into a 6' bed if required), again with wonderful views.

A convenient WC with hand wash basin is also located on this floor. Outside To the outside at the front are well-stocked borders with shrubs; to the rear are pretty, enclosed gardens with a terrace to sit and enjoy drinks outside and take in the spectacular views.

Whitby 6 miles; Scarborough 17 miles.

Robin Hood's Bay, with its narrow cobbled streets and quaint cottages, is one of the most picturesque villages on the English coastline. Situated between Scarborough and Whitby, this charming old fishing village is to be found nestling at the edge of a wide sweeping bay backed by spectacular cliffs and dramatic moorland scenery, and was once home to author Leo Walmsley. All holidaymakers will love the beach and its cliff-top walks, whilst more serious walkers will enjoy the many long distance trails that pass through the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Coast to Coast walks which all take in Robin Hood’s Bay. The village amenities are superb, with charming alleyways to explore and plenty of places to rest, relax and take refreshment. A perfect base for enjoying the Yorkshire Coast.
