“Absolutely fabulous house, easily accommodated all 19 of us.”

Ages ranging from 2 to 80, it catered to everyone's needs. Gorgeous rooms with plenty of entertaining space and a table for all of us to gather around for a meal. Being in the centre of Scarborough, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this accommodation, if you're wanting a stay with a touch of luxury. Fantastic place

“15 people used the property to celebrate a70th birthday.”

Found the place to be very clean and comfortable made use of most of the facilities (didn't do a lot of cooking or clothes washing as we were only there 3 nights). The ladies in the group felt there could be more mirrors and hairdryers but overall an excellent venue. So good we rebooked before leaving.

Also there are mirrors in every room. Do we mean full length mirrors. Any information would be helpful just so I can improve the property as this is our first review which hasn’t been 100%. “We had a group of 20 ladies for a girly weekend, as we do every year.”

The quality and standard of the cottage was head and shoulders above other cottages we have stayed in. The booking process was seamless, and contacting the owner was very simple. The owner was very approachable and welcoming. The owner went above and beyond by not only providing 3 towels per person for the bathrooms but also extra towels provided for the hot tub. It was a really nice touch to have a hamper waiting for you when you arrive, as well as basic supplies like bread, milk, dishcloths and tea towels, as well as dishwasher tablets, etc. There is enough seating round the dining table with plenty of space, as well as plenty of room in the two sitting rooms. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable, clean beds and the decoration throughout was very modern. We got home yesterday and have already contacted the owner to book again for our trip next year!

“We had a lovely stay in the house.”

The house was spotless on arrival the cleaners do an amazing job. The kitchen is very well equipped. Hot tub fantastic, we the family of grandparents, parents and children had more than enough space to be together or to have space. Close to the town, you really couldn’t be in a better location. “We have had a fabulous weekend staying in the Railway House, it is absolutely stunning!”

Before we arrived the owner informed us the Hot Tub was currently out of use but he tried his very best to get this fixed for us and kept us informed throughout. The only thing we felt was missing was a full length mirror being an all girl group, but other than this we wouldn’t change a thing!

“Fantastic property finished to a very high standard .”

All rooms are bright, airy and spacious and plenty of bathrooms to accommodate our group of 14 plus a baby. The railway line at the bottom of the garden and the proximity to the station may put some people off but you can’t hear the trains at all in the house. Jamie, the owner is very amenable and was quick to resolve any issues we had . Great location , short walk to the sea front , plenty of places to eat close by and 2 supermarkets only 5 minutes walk away Would highly recommend this property to any large group

Great hospitality and welcome- generous welcome pack and friendly, readily available host when needed - nothing too much trouble. Maintenance and cleaning perfect- cleaning and fresh linen provided half way through 2 week stay - this was really appreciated, excellent and non intrusive. A fantastic stay for big group of family and friends. Happily stay again.

Our children, their partners and grandchildren - 21in all- we all loved the house! It was absolutely perfect in every way. The amazing space! The beautiful decor! The facilities! Everything perfect!! “The property itself is gorgeous and very conveniently located to access the town centre and sea front.”

Unfortunately, the owners false accusations of damage means that I cannot leave a fully positive review. Fortunately, I have photo and video evidence to prove that the damage was there on our arrival so if you do decide to stay here I strongly suggest taking images of everything immediately on arrival in case you are accused of damage like us. I wouldn’t recommend staying based on the negative communication and lack of professionalism from the owner unfortunately.

“We cannot rate this property any higher, it was/is amazing and would highly recommend for any large groups looking for quality accommodation.”

On arrival the standard was immediately obvious, so clean and extremely well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped for the number of guests, with everything thought of. The welcome hamper was beautiful and very much appreciated. The location of the property made it so easy to actually walk down to the front promenade even with children! The group enjoyed the stay so much we will be returning next year!!

Everything is finished to a high standard and plenty of space for a big group. We stayed as a family and there were 21 of us. The owner Jaime was on hand whenever we needed help and made sure we had the best stay possible. Would highly recommend this house. Just need a few long mirrors and a tv in the smallest room. “The house is stunning both inside and outside.”

There is plenty of room for at least 6 cars (small to medium size) and even though it’s down a side street once you’ve driven in you could be anywhere. The house backs on to the railway but you barely hear the trains, obviously a big hint in the name

“Fabulous spacious house.”

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds and linen. Plenty of seating area in both lounges and around the large kitchen table. Hot tub was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

. Absolutely amazing house, not to be missed! Just filled this stunning house with 22 of my family and enjoyed a fantastic, unforgettable 4 nights. The photos do not do it justice.. The place is huge! Right in the heart of everything and parking for lots of cars. Every room beautiful and finished to a high standard, with quality carpets, fixtures and fittings throughout. Host has put a lot of effort in and gone above and beyond to make sure you have a brilliant stay with an array of amenities, games, tv’s (everywhere!), table football, hot tub, even 22 chairs fit round one dining room table!! Great value, great fun, great memories! Thanks Jamie for making us so welcome, checking all ok at the start and again upon departure (not to mention the welcome gifts .. the huge picnic basket hamper!! ) Had the best time and already planning our return. Can’t fault it..

“Absolutely amazing!”

! the house is breathtaking, the owner has gone above and beyond in providing all that is needed and to the highest of spec. The house is situated in the heart of Scarborough and within walking distance to everything. We stayed at the house this weekend 30th June to 2nd July for my daughter 40th birthday we had the best time at this beautiful house. There was even a luxury essentials hamper waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. I am not a big review writer but when a place deserves it, this definitely does. Thank you Jaime for providing us ladies with a top class accommodation 10 out of 10

“A fantastic well equipped property!”

So well finished and great for larger groups! The owner was fantastic aswell checking in with us to make sure everything was ok and when I had a query about the hot tub he contacted me immediately to help! Only one point of note I would say is the small toilet down next to the back door could do with a blind in the window or frosted glass.

“Perfect! Everything we needed and more.”

Every room is immaculate and everything has been thought of. Having two large lounges with enough seating was brilliant, when people weren’t happily sitting and chatting in the kitchen. Every bedroom was lovely and super comfy and all the bathrooms were amazing. The hot tub and the table football were enjoyed by everyone. The house just had so much room and perfect for mixed ages. I could put the littlest ones to bed without any worry about them being woken up and everyone else could still enjoy the evening. Jamie was brilliant, all information you need for the house is there and if needed you can message him and get a really quick response. Having parking for everyone is also a big plus! Would highly recommend.

The hot tub was fab and the bathrooms are lovely. Our only negative comments would be the lack of large pans and large serving dishes as it was quite difficult to cook for 22 people at times. The dining table only seated 18 too. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Hi there, I’m really sorry about the pans and dishes etc. I would of happily brought some down if you had informed me during your stay. I have since been and bought more, so hopefully this should no longer be an issue. We have enough seating for 22 but I know it’s a squeeze. It’s the largest set up we could find without splitting the tables and having two separate tables which I’d don’t want to do. “Our stay at the Railway house was absolutely brilliant!”

Once we parked up our cars they never moved again due to everywhere being within easy walking distance! (Especially the pub literally 20 steps up the road)! Their was more than enough room throughout the property for the 23 of us! (Ages ranged from 5months to 50’s) The attention to detail in the finishing touches really make the house stand out from the rest! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we’re looking at booking again!
